Excellent service as always. I've been using this vets for a number of years and by far the best I've used. Great opening hours that ensures I can get my cat seen without having a day off work. Vets are always welcoming and accommodating, they show genuine care for my cat

Unfortunately my elderly cat was unwell and I had to rush her into The Vet after work. They were able to fit her in, and the care my cat received was excellent. Sadly we had to put her to sleep, but both the vet and the vet nurse were absolutely the kindest, most understanding and caring people I've met in a vet practice. They made an awful situation bearable, and I have nothing but the highest praise for their care of not only my cat and but also my daughter and I. I've had some poor experiences at other vet practices but The Vet has always been great with all my pets. The prices are low but the care is excellent, I highly recommend.

It's extremely important to me to have complete trust that my son & daughter's health and well-being is looked after and they always get the very best treatment also if they have to stay at the vets for any reason they r very well looked after for example my little girl betsy needed to have a very big operation as she got breast cancer she gets frightened being away from me and her brother but all the staff made sure she was calm an happy through out her stay, and I was kept well informed during her stay. I will always be extremely grateful to Jen one of the vets who preformed her operation an thankfully everything turned out to be completely successful an wen I picked her up I could tell she had been very well looked after. This vet have been fantastic with our pets care in particular with my dog Archie. With incurable cancer the vet took every opportunity to make him comfortable and to give us informed choices right until the end. The care on his final day was heartfelt private and caring I cannot reccomend them enough.

I can’t thank all the staff at the vet enough for their speedy response to my poorly bunny Neville. Neville developed gut stasis. I was advised to bring him straight down for a checkup. Connor the vet was absolutely lovely and very understanding and reassuring as I was understandably very upset with how serious a condition stasis is for a rabbit to have. Neville had to stay in for 2 days for treatment and was allowed to keep his wifebun Luna by his side for comfort. Neville is now finally on the mend and happy at home with the family and Luna. So relieved and thankful. The other vets and nurse we saw were also lovely but I can’t remember their names.

I bought Shadow to The Vet and the dogs had spilled over to the cats waiting area. The staff were great as I said my cat was very ill and I wanted to reduce his stress. They let me sit in a seperate room. I had to have my six year old friend who I had bottle fed as a kitten put to sleep and the staff were really sensitive and great, as they had been with him mum a year before. I have always found them to be really sensitive and fantastic.

Highly recommend the vet. We have been registered for quite a while now and the vets/nurses are very good with my animals. One of my dogs has to visit monthly and he hates the procedure and they deal with him brilliantly. He’s not easy and can get aggressive. But they deal with it and I’m very happy that he doesn’t need sedating every time he goes. Receptionists also are very welcoming and helpful.

I have only had one positive experience with the reception and unfortunately that receptionist has now left. This receptionist team is in dire need of customer service training. There is no sense of friendliness maybe it is because they are attempting to be professional, unfortunately it comes across as rude. When you get past the reception and into the vets the service is amazing. My advice is grit your teeth whilst talking to reception and remember the vets are second to none

The care these vets provide is great and I've had no issues whatsoever in regards to treatment and diagnosis. Unfortunately it has become difficult to get through to reception to get to speak to a vet or book an appointment. You often have to wait 30min plus on hold which is very frustrating. When you do get an appointment you very rarely get seen on time and can be waiting up to an hour after your appointment was booked. They definitely need more vets and more reception staff. Or they need to stop taking on new clients. If things don't improve in the next few months then I will look to go elsewhere.

I can't thank the team at The Vet enough for being so amazing during such a heartbreaking time for me. My little Holly unfortunately had to get put to sleep on Friday, which we were not expecting at all when we picked her up. However the senior veterinary surgeon spoke to us with great patience and explained everything so calmy and so well to help me make the right choice. My beautiful dog passed away peacefully and I was allowed to sit and hold her afterwards for as long as I needed. By the time I left the surgery, it was almost 10pm, but still the team were incredible. Very sensitive to the situation and very sympathetic. I picked Hollys body and her clay paw print up today and was once again met with great patience. Even though my situation was extremely difficult The Vet made it as comfortable as possible. Thank You! Thank You so very much!!

Receptionists seem incompetent and like I am an intruder. Little competent answers. After two answers, you feel like going out and not coming back anymore. They require training. More empathy. I asked if there were any methods that could help my petty pet. I should find out about such things at the reception. I have to go to the doctor to find out that there is no help method. This was a problem that did not require viewing the pet at the preliminary stage. I think it's about money. I'm sorry, but that's how it looks.

I recently visited The Vet, Nottingham in Bilborough and was very pleased with how professional and efficient everyone was. I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist and as soon as you walk in you can see how clean and sanitary everything is, which with the current situation, is very reassuring. Great access throughout the surgery (ignoring the outrageously heavy entry door). There’s even reasonable access into the consulting rooms. The entire staff team are friendly, helpful and incredibly understanding with even some of the most challenging animals (my psychotic terrier being in their number!). Excellent availability of staff with a combination of drop in and appointments. The surgery is really clean throughout, I’m not sure what they do with all the fur...Very clear prices helps to avoid scary home times. I would happily recommend The Vet to disabled and non-disabled pet owners.

They are so helpful and the walk in appointments as fantastic. So much easier and less stressful than having to try to get appointments when they are fully booked and you are worried about your pets. The vets here are so dedicated to helping the pet and the owner and are not focused on pushing medications. They prefer to try other things like diet change firsts and only use medicines as a last resort. They are so caring and hard working. Well done everyone at The Vet.

I love going to The Vet. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I have 2 poodle crosses ( very pretty ) so while I’m waiting to see the vet my dogs are generally being fussed over by the reception staff. I can highly recommend this Vet Practice. The welcome is great, and all four appointments I’ve had I have been seen within 10 minutes. I wish I’d heard about them before because I would have saved a fortune. The Vets prices are so reasonable, they don’t charge silly money to care for your pets. It’s so refreshing. I’d like more people to know about them so they can save money like me and get the care and attention from everyone who works there.

I recently went to The Vet, Notitngham and was very impressed with the cleanliness and sanitation of the establishment. I brought my dog Sheba in for her vaccinations and the wait wasn't long at all and the overall process was very fast and efficient. The lady who administered the vaccinations was very welcoming and helped Sheba calm down as she's quite a shy and nervous dog. So overall very impressed.

This practice are really wonderful, the staff really care for animals, even those without an owner. They do so much work for stray animals, including fundraising for their medical bills. The head nurse there (Steph) is really kind and smiley, and all the vets I have dealt with have been really helpful. Their prices are really reasonable too! They have good care plans too!

My cat was run over a few weeks ago and suffered a tail injury, she ended up being admitted on the day for xrays and came back the following day for her tail to be removed due to the extent of her injury. The Vet were incredible, she and I were treated with kindness and she's now made a full recovery. I cannot thank the team enough for what they have done for her. Would highly recommend

I have 6 cats and a dog and they have been fantastic with all of them. The walk in is great as you can go when you need too not when you can get them in. You can check wait times on the website as well which is great. All the staff are lovely too. Highly recommend. Update. During lockdown one of my cats Boris became critically ill. He had a stroke and a blood clot and I really did think I was going to loose him. Debbie the senior vet took ownership of his case and pulled him through. Heather on reception was kind and caring when it looked like I might have to make the decision none of us want to make. Due to their care Boris is now 21 weeks passed his stroke. He is happy and healthy and that is due to the care he got at a time when many vets simply shut up shop. Thank you everyone Boris owes you his life.

I have only taken my cat in for flea treatments and annual boosters. Both times the vet has been polite and helpful. I would recommend asking which product they are using as it can be cheaper to take the £10 paper prescription fee and buy online. Also feel like the waiting system could be improved as have seen a few customers get frustrated when customers appear to be seen before them. However they are low cost and there is the convenience of the drop in system

I have used The Vet for sometime now they have made a few changes over time with the appointment system and drop in. However due to Covid things have changed.(as they have everywhere) I was able to take my cat for his vaccinations. I just had to wait outside the room. The Vet explained everything I needed to know. They are very busy sometimes you are unsure who you need to see after the consultation as the staff as multitasking, taking phone calls accepting a pet, giving out medications and then payments.

This is by far the best vets we've been to! Initially decided to register our cats here because of the low prices but we wouldn't want to go anywhere else now. The receptionists and the Vets are always friendly and really attentive to the cats and put them (and us) at ease. The waiting room is always clean, free water, a toilet and there's a coffee machine - the little things make a big difference. The website also gives an estimated wait time too so if it's not urgent care, then you can check that and decide to take your pet a different day. Very highly recommended!

This review is long overdue so apologies for its lateness. My wife and I joined the practice when it first opened and it has come to our attention that the Head Receptionist has recently been promoted to the post of Client Care Manager. Well done to her! We have personally seen this lady go above and beyond her professional duties on several occasions. She has been most sympathetic to any concerns we had for the health of our pets and always gave us great advice and never rushed through our queries. It was refreshing to talk to her safe in the knowledge that she genuinely cares and whenever we visited the practice she would take the time to talk to us whilst still managing a very busy reception. A true professional and a great asset to the surgery.

Whilst recently visiting my friends in Nottingham my dog was taken ill suddenly, from the Front of house Staff, Nurses'and Vets everyone was Fantastic. Sasha is my best friend and from the minute they saw us to the minute we left I felt safe in the knowledge that she was being well looked after. I was kept undated with her progress by the staff and nothing was too much fr them. The best vets I've ever been to. Reasonable prices, love the pet plan. I have it for our 2 dogs, cat and even have it for my mother in laws 2 dogs as they are often together and can rest assured they are all at least fleed and wormed on time. Great appointment/walk in times for us and fantastic service over weekends. Can garentee if something goes wrong it will be then and that saves a fortune on out of hours vets. Very happy customer of coming up to a year now.

We were so well looked after on one cat's final visit that the whole process was calm and dignified. Sure, there can often be a substantial wait, but this is to be expected with a busy and popular drop in service like this. The staff are all wonderful and so kind.

I usually go in the evenings or at weekends when they do walk in appointments and I like that they prioritise urgent cases so you get seen pretty quickly if you need to. (And you can check online what the waiting time is if it's not urgent which helps avoid waiting too long).

Its a good vets and reasonably priced. Only issue is waiting time to check in and then if you have an appointment you can be waiting anything upto over half hour after your time. And then if you need medication you are waiting about another 15 min to be seen.

Was apprehensive prior to going to The Vet as my family had always previously used a small family veterinary practice which I couldn't afford. My anxiety was misplaced. Very friendly staff who clearly care for the animals they treat. Due to the drop in nature of the service you do not always see the same vet and I can see this would put some off but if there is an ongoing condition you tend to deal with the same vet, either way all vets know the full case history. I personally see the drop in service as an incredibly handy way for the Vets to operate, especially as I work unpredictable hours and they are open 0800-2000. Very pleased and will continue to use these vets for as long as I have pets in Nottingham.

I have used many vets over the past 35years and this one is the cheapest and has the best opening times it takes a lot of stress out of being a dog owner by opening 7days a week my dogs always seem to get ill at weekends. Most people who love their pets have a preferred person to treat them, Jessica is fantastic. My German shepherd Clyde is a big boy and not the best behaved but Jessica never gets annoyed with him and shows him nothing but kindness. Together we have got on top of his bad hips and his on going skin problems are under control. Jessica never gives up on your pet she exhausts every option. I'm happy to see other vets at this practice for routine treatments but Jessica is always my number 1choice

Our 4 Month old Pup picked up fleas from another dog, noticed same day. Unfortunately he has skin issues so usual method of treatment just wasn't an option. Rang registered vet and was over 28 hours before could get an appointment, our other dog would have caught them by then and house be infested. I rang The Vets and got him in within 20 minutes even though I wasn't registered there. Seen very quickly, full health check & flea treatment applied. Went to pay at reception and eas shocked at the amazingly low price of his treatment. Will certainly use again.

The last 4 times I have been with one of my cats, I have not been taken into the cat friendly room. The last time it didn't appear to be in use at all. The cat waiting area always has dogs in it which defeats the point of having it. Booster prices are reasonable but normal consultations and the cost of medicines are not as reasonable.

Like the idea of the no appointment system and the opening hours are great! Seperate waiting areas for cats and dogs but this doesn't stop inconsiderate people still bringing loud dogs into the cat section which caused some distress, this needs to be enforced more! Pricing is good but probably needs to be a bit more explained as when i asked the receptionist for a breakdown of costs she got all confused so ended up not knowing what i had paid for.

Used this vets for an emergency after my dog was bit by a fox. And our new puppy has only been here, today he is having his bits done. Its very clean, the staff are very polite and will answer any questions. Its ideal for me as I have a son with downs syndrome who cannot often understand why we need to be it set places at set times. Its a walk from the nearest bus stop. There are toilets there for us humans and a drinks machine, so waiting is still quicker than if we went to see someone for ourselves! It can be busy which can be stressful for pets.

Took our dog in after he had been attacked by another dog. Once the receptionist saw the blood she reacted incredibly quickly, even dropping the phone as she was in the middle of a call. The person on the other end (someone from a food supplier) must thought she was being rude but her concern was first and foremost for the animal who was suffering. Vinnie was taken away immediately and only once he was sorted and comfortable did they come back to me which, as far as I am concerned, was the right priority. Options, costs etc. were explained and they even let me see him (to calm me!) before I left him there for surgery. Follow up treatment has been good too. I've never used another vet (Vinnie is our first dog) so can't comment on prices, but the place is clean and spacious and staff genuinely seem to like animals and make a fuss of them where appropriate.

Absolute perfection. I can't find one fault about The Vet. I have both my miniature schnauzers and shar pei here & they are brilliant. No stone unturned when their is an issue with them & saved my little shar pei's life when she was 8 weeks old. The only vet i know with low prices, consistent & quality care with conscientious Vets that know what they are talking about. Receptionists are lovely & very friendly, also the nurses are thorough but gentle. Wouldn't go to any other vet, came here from "Arnwood" Veterinary Clinic after it changed from "De Vill & Wooliscroft".. the prices were ridiculous & impossible to see a vet that wasn't looking for a reason to rip you off!! Anyway i digress.. Smashing vets.. 1000000% Recommend! Keep up the good work!

We moved several years ago from Vets4Pets and have found the Staff very Helpful and caring with all our animals. The Head receptionist Heather, in particular is very animal aware and helpful. Tia our Rotti cross had pancreatitis very recently and spent sevreal days in their care. The treatment she recieved was exceptional and luckily has made a full recovery. Prior to using the Vets Nottingham Tia had to be tranquilised prior to every vets visit as she got so distressed. We made them aware of this and under Heathers assistance and guidance were encouraged to take Tia in for regular visits. We now no longer have to tranquilise her. Thank you all very much

I have used The Vets a few times and cannot rate this Vets high enough. Not only do they not rip you off with cost but they are the friendliest staff I have come across in a veterinary practice. Leo, our cat, needed urgent care after having a blocked bladder, he was seen and dealt with straight away. The vets did the best they could do, to give us the best price and I'm very thankful as me and Partner just had a baby and funds are low. No doubt if I had gone elsewhere the cost would have been doubled. As for the comment from VG below, Its seems you was more bothered about the personal appearance of the cat and less about the welfare as not shaving the area can lead to infections and causing unnecessary pain trying to find a vein. It would be like a Doctor trying to find your vein with your jumper still on.You mentioned you knew they we're stressed due to fact a cat had been brought in after being hit by a car and yet you still felt the need to write that comment. A little selfish don't you think? On a brighter note - Well Done and and keep up the hard work and thank you for all your help!

This surgery is by far is the best in Nottingham. Service and professionalism is excellent with the added touch of a surgery that actually loves and cares for your pets. I doubt any vet can beat the prices and service that the vet deliver. I can't recommend enough!.

Generally attention/service very good but it would be even better if consultations were not done over a row of seats in the general reception area and that when subsequently queried was told it was due to to Convid 19. We think this unlikely as consultation rooms are in constant use so the response was mildly insulting. It is also the case that where customers are hard of hearing - everyone is speaking thru masks - and general noise levels in the area mis - understandings can occur. A little 'Tweak' required here we suggest.

Cant recommend this place enough!!! We usually use a vetinary practice on ilkeston road that weve used for all our pets over the years, but found the cost extremely high for the service that we were receiving. The Vet was recommended to us by numerous people so we decided to give it a chance, and im only sorry we didnt move there sooner. I changed from my old vets to this one it was the best thing I did they are very friendly I usually see Heather upon reception she is brilliant very kind knowledgeable and caring very devoted to her job loves every animal she sees the vet I always try to see is Debbie she is fabulous takes so much time with you never rushes you out the room like my last vets the best vets I’ve been too what a great service.
