D. B.Luxury hotel for cats with heated bed ledges and outdoor space for each "room"! We've used them for over 10 years and never had any issues. Doreen will cater for any special requirements is knowledgeable in and simply loves cats. Would always recommend.
C. N.Doreen who runs the place is approachable, knowledgeable and experienced, and also a retired people-Nurse. Many healthcare staff I know use her cattery. I suspect very fussy breeders and showers also use her as I've often seen high quality cats with very specific instruction sheets tied to their doors! It's easiest to contact them during their stated office hours, but they do have a voicemail and are good at returning your call - usually in their office hours but sometimes during the day too.
The pens are sized very generously (the larger ones house 2 cats, but the indoor half of the smaller ones are the same size as pens used in other places for 2 cats), are warmed, and with an outside run with plenty of "cat TV" as half of them face fields. Bringing your cat's personal items are encouraged! I usually take a small tall cat tree, brushes, balls, treats and bed-box with a worn T-shirt.
The cattery building itself is well insulated and sturdy and housed next to the family's friendly horse's stable. I don't think there's any draghts apart from the cat flaps into the outdoor runs. It always feels warm when you step in, even during winter.
The cattery is on the site of her family home. She staffs it well between herself, her husband, and trusted helper(s) who she speaks of in a way that makes me automatically trust them too.
Both she and her husband are careful with paperwork and stick to the rules like glue. They will not house your cat if they do not have proof of up to date vaccines, as well as details of your vet.
They have plenty of spare blankets and grooming brushes if you forget. If your cat has a special diet, you will need to provide food, but for non-special diets, food is provided as they keep popular brands in stock. Please contact them directly for further information about this.
