I have for many years used Christopher Carter as my go to vet. They have always looked after my dogs welfare and I have always been very happy with their service. I would like to say thank you to all the staff and an extra thank you to Cheryl who has been very helpful in sorting a few things out with my dog Eddie... xx

My wife and I . One Saturday morning in February our pet cat needed to be checked out by a vet . So we a had find a vet . First one was closed with no contact number . Second one we had to stand out side and phone the receptionist that we could see from out side the building . THAY was not taking on any new pets because of COVID . We said that our pet was very poorly and that he was 17 yrs old . But with no avail . Third vet was in Winchester rd The receptionist said that they where also not taking on any new pets . So vet number four Christopher Carter vet surgery on Winchester rd next to the Range. Rang the boor bell and after a few seconds a nurse came out and we said that we have a pet cat 17 yrs old and he seems to be really poorly are we able to register him to see the vet . And WITHOUT HESITATING SHE REPLIED YES . Finally we found a vet that could check our pet out at last . The nurse took all the info she needed and we were to take the cat to see the vet the next day at 10am . We waited in the car for about two hours while our cat had bloods taken and to be checked over . The nurse came out and said the vet would phone phone us in the morning with the results of the blood test . And that he did . He said he suspected our cat had THYROID PROBLEM . And if we can call in to surgery in the morning of the next day he would have the medication ready. Nurse comes out with medicine with instructions . . After one week cat was really poorly and not eating . So I thought I would stop medication . In which I did for almost three days . After that he seemed to be alert and started eating his food again . Now he’s back on half dose until tomorrow then back to full dose . One more week and we see the vet for another check up and blood test to see if this medication is working .so we should have some good new for every one that is interested. Thankfully to Chris Carter vets surgery..👍🐾

Have nothing but thanks and gratitude for this wonderful vet surgery. I've had help to care for a poorly lizard, support when I've had a dog to put to sleep and comoassion when I've had to have my rescue dog spayed so that I was not worried she would be traumatised. They took Sammy in and made the process so easy when my Sammy passed away in April it’s taken me a while to come to terms with her loss but these people in my opinion are the best going and I’d recommend them anytime thanks again for all your staffs help I was a mess when I turned up, Sammy had just passed away in my car 🥰 she will always be remembered as the smiling dog

I can not compare to other vets as I have not been to any, but the service I get here is fantastic so there is no need. Frank my border terrier is very at ease there and even go in with no problems as we have to stay outside at present. All in all I would highly recommend.

Sue and Chris have always done the very best to provide for my pets even at the pets last stages of their lives.Chris even took my dog home and stayed up all night with him. We have a cat that is 11 years old, but still very spritely and active. He was showing signs of distress and pain and we had no clue what was wrong. Took him straight away to Christopher Carters as always and they were brilliant. Gave him the best care, kept him overnight to monitor him and found out he has kidney stones. Unfortunately they aren’t able to anything about them, but have prescribed him painkillers and antibiotics and he’s a 100x better. But they’ve asked to monitor him still and just hope we can keep him ticking over for a long as possible

They are the most caring vets I have ever used. Had to take my dog in for an emergency appt. after he had a seizure. He had another one while in waiting room, they were straight on it. So so caring, I was in a state, they took over and even made me a cup of tea. Plenty of cuddles for the animals left there. My dog was ok. It was hopefully a one off. I know he will be in the best hands at Carter's.

I've had both of my cats treated at this Vet (though sadly they had to be put down because of old age and heart failure), and they were both treated with such care and dignity that the monetary side does not matter to me at all. They were so kind, they gave us a condolences card both time, and they did not hassle my mother when she couldn't afford to pay for the costs, they just asked that she pay them when she is able to. Honestly could not be better in service and in expertise, and I would recommend all of those who love their pets to go here. Thank you so much to the staff at Christopher Carters.

The best care I would wish for my dogs. All staff from reception , nurses and vets go beyond the love and care I would want for any animal and their owners. I have had to put my first dog down suddenly just over a year ago and Chris was amazingly empathetic. Felt Luke I was with a friend. More recently I have had many problems with my pug and Bianca has been just as amazing. Register here. You won't be disappointed in any way.

They are very supportive of the owners too, especially when it's not a routine visit. The care and support given to us by Chris and his team during the final days of our dog’s life was exceptional. Our Little Atom had been with Christopher Carter vets all his 14 years of life. He was always well cared for and treated with skill and efficiency. The mark of a good vet service in my view is how they deal with your pet and their owners at difficult times. Chris and staff all did their very best to help our dog in his final days, even down to Chris himself calling us to check up on our dog, out of hours, and also after he heard that our dog had died, to express his condolences. I can’t recommend Chris Carter enough! We are pleased that we chose this veterinary practice for our dogs.

You never get to speak to Chris Carter and the rest of the staff are lovely and helpful but i don't really get the feel they are that experienced or knowledgeable. They called us back when they said they would but we were cut off and they didn't call back after that. Or dog was supposed to have his teeth cleaned when having an op but they forgot and then claimed it didn't need doing even though I'd specifically asked because plaque was building up. I'm not sure I'd recommend to be honest.

Came in with my Bengal cat Mowgli, which was very distressing as I had to leave him over night. But staff had Christopher Carter were amazing. Straight away they made me feel relaxed that my cat was in good hands. They were understanding and kind. I've been going to Christopher Carter surgery for such a long time and have always had a wonderful service from all of the staff. They are very cheerful and so helpful. On Wednesday 3rd October 2018, I had to make an extremely hard decision to have Dino, my beautiful water dragon who was almost 18 years old put to sleep and I have to mention about the person that attended to me that day who's name is Jordan, he was absolutely amazing and helped me through this emotional time and I just want to say thankyou so much for taking the time and care that you presented me on this day. I also have to mention about the lovely sympathy card that was sent to me from all the staff. Christopher carter surgery is the best. Thankyou all so much for your care and excellent service.

Chris carters is full of lovely people who are sensitive and supportive. We use them for all our small animals, from cat and dogs to chickens and snakes. They have been amazing and reasonably priced for all of them. Particularly my cat who was hit by a car. The specialised care went above and beyond what you would expect, with one vet coming giving up her own time to care go him on a weekend when they are closed so they wouldn't have to transfer him to another surgery. I cannot thank them enough for how well they pieced my humptydumpty cat back together. Looking at him now you can't see how close we came to having to amputate his leg.

First class... I recently had my French bull dog neutered at another vets and he had serious complications which resulted in a massive infection. I didn't know what to do with him and seeked advice from a third party as we were really worried about him...
