Lovely family feel to the practice. We have had excellent care of our cat who is now two years old. He’s had an eye operation for entropian and I am thrilled with the result. I get timely reminders for checkups and boosters. Staff are friendly and know my cat well. It’s easy to get an appointment. 100% recommend this vet for your pet.

Can’t fault this practice! We have 3 dogs, all registered with Medvet. The youngest was spayed, by Duncan, last week. He took time to explain the procedure and gave advice re aftercare. All professionals, at the practice, are warm but professional and nothing is too much trouble. My blue Staffy has needed treatment, on several occasions and so knows Duncan, Daniel, Eliza and Vicky, great team! Reception staff helpful too, thanks!

Following our recent experience with a puppy that was taken very poorly following her first vaccination at 9 weeks of age, we called Medi Vet at Oakengates as our usual veterinary surgery had changed hands and was not reaching expected standards. The team at Oakengates, led by Duncan, were excellent. We were given an appointment the same morning, and upon arrival Duncan came outside to our vehicle and listened very intently to our description of events leading up to the illness. We left our puppy, Lily, in his capable hands, feeling assured she would get the very best treatment. Duncan was most polite and respectful, explaining in great detail his intentions. He followed his promise to the letter, calling us morning and evening with progress reports, instilling us with great confidence in the veterinary practice under his leadership. Thank you Duncan, Medi Vet will be our first port of call for all our pet's needs, and we will certainly recommend your team to all our pet owning family and friends. A*****

We had to take our Jackapoo Teddy to see Duncan and the team because he developed a problem with his front legs and needed surgery. Everyone was brilliant with us, we were kept up to date and Teddy had first class treatment. Even better was the amount of time Duncan took explaining things to us post op. Absolutely brilliant 🤗

I just want to say a thank you to Duncan, for the care he has given my cat this past week. He took the time to thoroughly explain things to me, & didn’t try to make me have treatment for her that wasn’t in her best interests. My cat was 20 years old, & today she had to be euthanised. It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made, but Duncan’s support & the way it was carried out made it a lot easier for me. Thank you for giving my beautiful girl a peaceful ending to her amazing life, & reassuring me as an owner. All the staff made me feel comfortable enough to cry & say my goodbyes, it was a very tough time handled well by amazing people who genuinely have your animals best interests at heart.

Non judgemental, genuine advice, supportive, understanding. Whilst our last vets was also a medivet branch, I always felt like we were being judged or told off which isn't helpful when you're struggling with a new puppy. Very good vet they care about the animals and always want tge best for them. My cat had long term illness and they were always caring and after she passed away we received a card from them now they have a candle if a pet passed away. They have good healthcare plan and works well with insurance companies. Highly recommended.
