Took my dog to the practice on Saturday evening due to him swallowing a squeaker from a toy. Unfortunately they had to make him vomit which was successful in removing the squeaker. The care from the receptionist to the vet was excellent. Unfortunately we all know that there are huge costs involved in visiting a vets out of hours but it’s still a comfort knowing that there is help 24 hours a day if needed and if you have insurance some of these costs can be recovered. Thank you Medivet for being there when we needed you

My cat Star was sick, not eating or drinking. Medivet were able to see her within 2 hours of me calling. She had an intestinal blockage that was picked up on a scan, needed an op to remove. She was an inpatient from Monday to Friday. We were kept fully informed daily (numerous times) on her condition. We were given a nice quiet room to visit her post op and were able to spend an hour with her. All staff were polite kind, helpful and friendly. I felt Star was cared for well and has made a purrfect recovery.

Excellent all round, staff very supportive in explaining what would be happening during my cats dental procedure and to answer any questions I had with regards to the said operation, they made me feel calm and relaxed and that I could phone anytime whilst my cat was with them. On collecting my cat they explained what might happen bleeding of the gum and to ring them straight away, they have me a follow up date but as above if I was worried about anything I was to ring them. I cannot thank all of the staff involved and to top it all 24hrs a day 365days a year is very reassuring. I would highly recommend Mefivet to my family, friends and work colleagues, well done. 😍

Finally, know who is an exotic vet. Pablo is amazing, friendly and kept me updated, I’m sure he’s done everything he could do to save my bunny, and thank him, he feels much better. They are full of emergency cases but he was still able to contact me. 5* for him 🙏

After being told by another vets that advertise as a 24 hours vet, they couldn’t register me on a Sunday, and that they had appointments but couldn’t see my suffering cat as it isn’t my usual vets( which was closed on Sundays) medivet 24 hours which was a little further from home we’re so helpful they let me register straight away and gave me an appointment no problems with regard to it not being my usual vet. I am really happy with my visit to the vets with my kitten, my kitten is very nervous of new people and new places but when the vet cam back out she said that he was absolutely fine and it just goes to show that they have a special way with nervous animals like my kitten. Please explain to me why there is a £90 charge if your pet is in need of help on a Sunday? This plus consultation and treatment. This charge was introduced without any consultation with existing members on medivet pet plan. It seems this franchise can just introduce rules without a thought for customers and their pets. Very disappointing!

The vets are amazing, we have been in multiple times with an ongoing skin condition and instead of just giving antibiotics, they decided to try something less invasive to start with. This has been amazing for my dog, she has returned to her puppy like self even at the age of 10 1/2. The other members of staff at the vets are just so lovely and never make you feel stupid for not knowing the answer to a question. Or in my case asking too many questions. Cannot rate this vets highly enough and even though I don’t live in walking distance anymore I will always use them.

A trip from Central London to this emergency vet in Hertfordshire was worth every mile we had to travel. The staff, including Dr Leonie, was amazing. My cat has used up one of her nine lives, surviving a vicious bite from another moggy, thanks to the help of the Medivet team. I really cannot recommend this veterinary survey enough. I was apprehensive because you hear so often that you don’t get a great level of service at big chain vets but this was the total opposite of that. They’ve seen my winter white hamster 3 times over the last 7 days and each time the every single member of staff I’ve encountered has been been fabulous. Everyone is kind, caring and clearly has a passion for the job they do. The reception team are always interested to come and make friends with your pets and the vets are so thorough and knowledgeable in what they do. They all made what I thought was going to be a highly stressful experience such a breeze. Thank you for caring for Ralph and nursing him back to health! We’ll both be eternally grateful to the whole team at Medivet Watford.

Because we had seen our local vet " Hackney Vet" and were not convinced by them. We were concerned after seeing our puppies Cherry Eye that we hadn't sought the car he needed. We called you and you were able to see us the next day and by the end of the week deliver his eye surgery. Following our vet who had given us the wrong eye drop medication and not able to see our puppy for a further week. Plus you were speedy, efficient, kind and communicative - impeccable service!

Medivet are always super helpful when I phone up and easy to get hold of, can always get me an appointment quickly. The vets are all really knowledgeable and kind and caring. Medivet always handle the insurance claims, also have a great payment plan for pet care (worming etc) and all in all a brilliant vets.

Firstly, all the staff at the Watford branch are ALWAYS so helpful and friendly, and very understanding when talking over the phone and in the clinic. They collect your pet from your car and deliver them back (even if it's pouring rain!), and offer a payment link so you don't have to go inside at all. There's also now a covered outside waiting area. Only neg is that the parking can be slightly chaotic sometimes

We have been customers of this practice for the past 8+ years. We currently have a dog and cat, but we have had guinea pigs in the past. Always able to get an appointment at a time/date that suits and they are open 24 hours a day. Unfortunately there are a lot of vets, so you can’t build a relationship with a particular person. Fantastic hospital with specific areas for aadogs and cats. Great communication and kind, considerate nurses and vets. VEEY expensive compared to other local vets.

Brought my two cats here today, the reception staff were really friendly, air con in reception was great for my cats during this hot weather. The Vet we saw was really thorough, and so happy to listen and give advice, she gave us different options for treatment for one of our cats who’s had some joint issues, she really put our mind at rest and helped us make a decision and plan going forward for his treatment including supplements to take away then and there. Also we have let our other new rescue cat become quite overweight, but there was no judgement she offered us food options and free weight clinics which we took! We left reassured and supported with a great plan, the Watford staff were amazing! Thank you! 😻

I’ve been going here since I moved to the area 13yrs ago and have always been more than happy with them. Everyone is so friendly and great with all animals. I’ve been with rabbits, cats, dogs as well as found animals, and even my bitiest of cats was handled with care!

Apart from a delayed wait, the vet was very helpful, kind and explained what she had done and what I should look out for. The only thing you could do is do an online claim with Animal Friends and I was told that this had to be authorised by a Director and there wasn't one there.

Cat was ill at midnight- they could see him immediately. They were very thorough and went through a variety of different options (as I don't have pet insurance) of how to manage his illness. The vet seemed very knowledgable and they went out of their way to help me. The end cost, whilst not cheap, was I thought very reasonable considering the time of day and the long appointment time I had. I had a lot of confidence in their service (which I haven't always had after trips to the vet) and I'm very glad they offer this service as overnight is a long time to wait watching an ill pet suffer.

They get a lot of negatives but I cannot fault this place. They looked after my Chihuahua After he had to have 2 operations on his hind leg. He stayed there for almost a month in the end and let me visit him anytime in the evening I wanted as I work full time. The nurses all loved him and gave him lots of cuddles they were brilliant. They also took control of contacting his insurance company managing the claim to ensure they covered the cost. Thank you medi vet!!!

We were visiting family when our dog (lily) ate something she shouldn't have. She had to stay over the weekend and whilst she was staying with Medivet they allowed us to visit and walk her, something which our own vet does not offer for over night stays. They are 24/7 which is a great peace of mind, they ring with frequent updates, and even rang us the day after we picked Lily up to check on her. If we lived within close proximity they would definitely be our vets of choice.

Both my parents and I have had the blessing of knowing our precious and much loved pets will always be cared for 24/7 in case of illness or injury. We have been clients of Medivet in Carpenders Park and Watford since having pets which must be around 30 years or more. In that time, as a rescue cat and dog rescuer, the number of cats you have treated has been around 14 cats at least and several dogs. I love that I can phone Watford Medivet on the spur of the moment 24/7 and get an immediate visit or just advice if that is all I need. I am presently awaiting your call for my beloved 15 year old cat to come in to receive life saving treatment for possible Hyperthyroidism after Beauty's behaviour changed radically and she had lost a massive about of weight. Whilst the vet still has to confirm his suspicions having taken a blood test immediately, his diagnosis (pending results of blood test) was incredibly quick. I just took an injured squirrel into Medivet Watford and Anna and her colleague could not have been kinder and more caring if it had been my family pet. The poor little thing had broken its arm and an x-ray was being taken and they were going to get it to a wildlife sanctuary.
