Have used Gatehouse for years for our cats. Took our cat Tails in 2 weeks ago with an abscess on her face. All the vets and nurses have just been amazing, lots of post operative care and phone calls when needed. Couldn’t have asked for better care, Tails is much happier now and we’re so very grateful! Thank you!!

Great Vets, always had good service with friendly staff. We have taken both our cats and dogs here. Only dropped one star as they are quite expensive for any drugs you might buy. We bought a product from them and then found it at pets at home for less than half the price.

Small practice but super, lovely vet. Took our hedgehog, so we needed specialist support which they were able to give. Felt the charge was very reasonable too, especially as we needed an x-ray.

I was visiting from out of the area and they were able to squeeze in my dog at short notice. All the staff were super friendly.

The veterinary receptionist and the vet were lovely with my puppy. Angela, the vet gave my puppy lots of treats to tempt him onto the weighing scales and also to get him to have his vaccination. She also examined him on the wide window ledge and gave him his vaccination there as he would not come into her room. They also told me about Pet Plan which i purchased which meant i was not charged for this appointment and will get future ones at a discount. All my questions were answered in detail.

Such great service at very short notice. All the staff are so caring. Tim the vet is brillant with our pet budgies.It is so difficult to find a vet who will treat budgies and someone who is so knowledgeable about them as they are classed as exotic pets.Can't recommend them enough

I can't recommend these vets highly enough! We've been taking our two cats here for years and have always been well looked after. The place is also child friendly and staff provide colouring books if you have to bring little ones with you. The place is also separated into cat and dog sections, to avoid any stress. All the staff and resident animals are lovely, professional and friendly.

On my recent visit the consultation was undertaken in the car park, as I don't drive I had to stand in the car park whilst my dog was with the vet in total it was about 30 minutes could some sort of outdoor shelter be provided I was lucky it wasn't raining. Yes I appreciate it is in conjunction with the covid protocol

Fantastic vets, saved my pomeranians life 3 years ago, have looked after him and operated on him twice since, he is 11 now and has arthritis in his back legs (he’s on permanent medication for) the vets, nurses and reception staff have done nothing but be professional, kind and caring, I trust them with my pets lives and I don’t usually praise many places nowadays the way services have gone, prices are very reasonable too considering some places I have been with the 5 pets we have. Amazing people. Thank you 🙏🏽

Wonderful caring vets . We went to seek a second opinion as our dog was practically written off by our usual vet . We were told nothing could be done for him as he had tumours and liver problems .so his Cushings disease couldn’t be treated .Lavister vets spent time with us and were not hurried in any way. Thanks to them our dog is enjoying life again . . We cannot speak highly enough of them ..

A nice-sized practice where all staff, nurses and vets are friendly, helpful and efficient. They’ve treated three of my cats over the past few years and I have no complaints at all. There’s plenty of parking and the premises are clean - any pet’s “little accidents” on the floor are cleaned up quickly and thoroughly. The monthly club scheme is excellent as it means routine health care is covered and it also gives you a discount on purchases. I recommend Gatehouse, Lavister without hesitation.

I've used Gatehouse Vets for about 18 years and they looked after my first Westie Hamish very kindly and sympathetically when he needed help . When he was no longer with us we missed him so much that we needed our home to have a dog again. We ended up with 2 sister Westies who are being looked after by Gatehouse very caringly.
