Joyce & her staff were my vets until my lovely white lab Scout decided it was time to go due to severe breathing difficulties, aged 15, then followed 6 wks later by my lovely Harry (Scout's elder brother), aged 16yrs. So so missed, and I still struggle talking about them. Joyce, & her staff have looked after my boys with love and dedication during their lifetime & I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you to everyone at Galtres. xxxx

What a great warm friendly informative practice. My dog needed x Ray's due to a bad leg. After been messed about with my usual vet I decided to look elsewhere. Galtres was recommended to me by another veterinarian assistant who I had met through working for her. They rushed me an initial consultation appointment through and a next day appointment for x Ray's. All came back good and I'm very impressed with there prices and there ability to keep me informed. Really cant recommend enough. 5 stars keep up the good work. Neil and Stella the rotty.

I have only had dealings with Galtres Vets since the start of the Covid pandemic. They procedures in place are excellent and the staff that I have seen (when they collected the dog from outside and dropped her off again) have been lovely and given a comprehensive debrief at the handover. Overall I am perfectly happy with the service I received.

Absolutely fantastic. 100% would recommend. The whole team are so caring and efficient. You couldn't ask for a better veterinary practice.

If Carlsberg made Veterinary practices then Galtres Vets would be undoubted their showcase product. Outstanding in their commitment to animal welfare and compassion, tempered with an uber approach to customer focus - making profit out of their client base is not their number one priority. Having been disappointed with several other practices in the York area, Galtres came highly recommended to us and it has to be said deservedly so. It takes a lot to impress me but impress they consistently have, demonstrated again with how they brought our GSD Max from the brink, ensuring we could enjoy more time with him until his eventual departure across the rainbow, which the lovely staff ensured he did with calm and peaceful dignity. They are a 6 shining 🌟stars team and deserving of every accolade posted in these reviews. Simply brilliant and thank you!

A big thank you for seeing our parrot Ollie this morning,at such short notice.Ollie had broken some of his beak & it was bleeding quite a lot thanks to all who helped in getting his beak glued,its the first time we have been with Ollie as its usually they see my therapy dog Noodle.We can't recommend these vets enough & once again a big thank you for all you have done.
