Very impressed in the Vets approach to solving our dogs illness. On our first 2 visits the vets came out to our car to check on our Papillon to solve the concerns we had.

We have used tower vets for years. I called yesterday as my dog had inflammation in his ear. We were given an appointment and attended within 45 minutes of first calling. The vets and staff always go over and above and treat all pets so well. Can't thank you enough for fitting us in, despite it being near the end of the day and for giving Molly and Ralph their booster vaccines in the same appointment. They left with treats too so were very happy! Thank you

I would recommend this vets to anyone. I have needed to attend quite frequently over the last 6 weeks and have had no issues at all with getting a timely appointment. The practice is clean and hygienic and all members of staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Although there can be a bit of a wait on very busy days, the vet never cuts short my appointment and really takes time to listen to what’s wrong and the treatments they choose are definitely in the best interest for my kitty.

We took my daughter’s kitten for his initial check up and vaccination. The whole experience was very reassuring, all the way from the initial phone call right through the visit. The whole team is friendly, kind, knowledgeable and professional all rolled into one. The premises is spotlessly clean and easy to navigate. Everything was explained very clearly and carefully and we went away feeling that we are being superbly looked after. We have just taken him for his second jab and another check over. There were a couple of dogs in the waiting area which growled at one another, making the kitten very uneasy. The care and precautions taken to settle him were exceptionally good and once again, I came away thinking what a lovely, kind, professional and caring team there is. Highly recommended

I have a nervous dog who struggles with going to the vets. He had a seizure last night and I am extremely pleased that Tower Vets is my vet. They saw him that day and were calm, patient and caring; they were able to both see and diagnose my dog without putting him under undue stress. Would highly recommend this practice. They looked after the kit. To be honest after his first couple of visits he was really keen to get back in his carry bag for the follow up. He probably just thought it was a little holiday to see some nice people. Look at that silly cat. Seriously though, really high quality and professional service.

Our beloved Whippet, Ptolemy,has been looked after by Tower Vets for many years. Sadly in December 2017 he was given a terminal diagnosis. However, against all odds he lived until earlier this month when he was given his eternal rest by Alicia in a memorably dignified procedure. He was never in pain, some discomfort very occasionally, but with kind & professional Alicia regularly checking him & prescribing necessary medications, together with our constant love and care he enjoyed many more exciting holidays in Northumberland ,which he enjoyed so much. The last time was in March, and he seemed to rally considerably once he caught a sniff of the sea, as he always did. This final visit was the right thing to do, at absolutely the right time, though it never feels that way does it ? Alicia assured us that he would very shortly have been in a sorry way, and that we could never have borne. He was chomping on his favourite treats , being fussed and adored right up until his last minutes. We were able to be beside him throughout the awful process, even as we were all observing the correct social distancing rules and were outside in the car park,which was much better than being in Alicia's surgery anyway as fond of her as Ptolemy was, he didn't exactly leap up those steps when we visited ! The sun was shining, the birds singing and it was incredibly peaceful . I will never be able to thank Tower Vets enough for their genuine love, compassion, professionalism and empathy throughout these last few years. Alicia is a lovely person and a hugely competent vet who always went above and beyond to ensure that our darling boy was able to take advantage of anything which could help him cope so stoically. He was such a gentleman in every way, noone who met him would say otherwise. My heart is broken, our home has lost its soul and I my soulmate.

I had to take my little dog to be put to sleep the vet was very caring and we were both treated with great kindness and compassion. My little dog had been poorly for only a short time and was over 16 years old. I was given lots of help over her life time and alway felt that the vet was doing there best in my little dogs interest for her health. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend The Tower Vet great team of vets and staff all very helpful and caring. Thank you to Tower Vet for all that you did for Bunty.

Very friendly and helpful, very appogetic if theres a delay or and emergency, offered me a cup of tea which was nice. There all animal lovers as you'd expect, there very kind with your animals and gentle. My only concern was all the animals wait in the same area, i did go to another vets where they had a separate place for cats so they dont get too stressed. I appreciate there limited for space so im not knocking then for it. All in all very good vets!

This is our local veterinary practice which we've used for the last two years. They have been nothing but professional and friendly in every visit, including a recent occasion when our pooch had to have an overnight stay. The car park can be a little tight when busy and I'm afraid the steep steps to get to the reception are certainly not great accessibility wise, so those less mobile might find a visit a bit difficult.

I'd never been before as it's the other side of town to where we live. My daughter called to tell me our dog was Ill (the dog was very, very old). Our regular vet closes half day on a Wednesday. Called Tower to see if they could help.. They were very obliging, told me to bring my dog straight down to them. Sadly, she had died before I managed to get home. I was in bits when I got to them, the staff were simply lovely. Asked if I needed to sit down, do I need a cup of tea, etc. Lady collected my dog from me with nothing but compassion.. Sadly, I was too beside myself to thank her. But i think she knew i wasnt being rude. Thank You.

I've been taking my cats to Tower for many years. The pandemic of Covid 19 has made practical help difficult as it isn't normally possible to go in to the consulting room. So, most recently, my current cat developed diabetes. Don (at Haxby; standing in for Nigel) has been a pragmatic and kind vet with sensible advice on feeding and monitoring to ensure control of blood glucose. Julie (vet nurse) has talked me through (over the phone) how to coax a scared and reticent cat into receiving twice-daily insulin injections. I would have never succeeded without her practical, empathetic and kind advice. Thank you both!

Our dog was taken seriously ill on Thursday and needed an emergency operation to save his life. They were waiting for us when we arrived, took him straight in for an examination and performed the operation immediately. If it wasnt for them he certainly wouldn't be here today. Nice but could be Better organised! The vet working on the day and reception seem to contradict each other and the customer ends up picking up the pieces. You would think a vet surgery this size could be better organised. I was told by the vet to book for a Blood Test in a few weeks' Time . Reception contradicts and says they cant book a vet with the "right qualification" in advance, I need to ring nearer to the time (and then not get the right vet after all?) There is a different vet every time you go as well - they must be rotating like in a round about. Nice as they are.

Not our vets but we had to speak to them about a dog we had fostered. They were lovely, helpful and resolved our query very quickly.

Just had to have my dog put down in the early hours Saturday and had not registered with them at the time. They made my dogs needs the priority and came right away. They were very sympathetic to our situation and at no point did they make the financial transaction the priority and I am grateful to them for that. Would highly recommend.

Incredible, brought a young wild hedgehog in that was meant to be hibernating by now to get some tips on care and they took it off my hands and said they'd do their best to nurse it back into good health over winter and even took down the location where I found it so they could release it there once it reached good health.
