Vets4pet have been great with my puppy from the minute I registered with them. My puppy had to have an operation very early and the staff were so reassuring and kept me updated every step of the way. The staff get to know the animals and appointments aren't rushed. They are always on the end of the phone if you need advise.

My cat chico who is 13 years old had a fat cheek seemed to be an abcess, vets gave antibiotics then few weeks later they operated and took 7 teeth out. Because of covid you do have to stay outside, I would like to suggest they have a table or sometimes as when you are waiting with a cat in its carrier you have to put them on the floor and if there is dogs also waiting it may scare them because they are more face to face, I just knelt on the floor with chico but a table would be more helpful. They are fantastic there, his bill was around 700 pounds to which they do a pay monthly thing which is done with a credit check. All staff are professional and I actually travel here from my village which has a vets literally round the corner from me but this is the best one so worth the extra miles.

The whole team is extremely friendly and helpful, it’s very obvious that they all love the animals but are also great with the owners. Sounds obvious but I’ve been to other practices who unfortunately don’t meet the same standards. I take my guide dog and cat(not a guide cat) and trust the team completely with their care.

Update April 2022: (Prompted to update review by Google) Nothing has changed in regards to my original star rating although I would give them 100 if I could. We seem to be here every few weeks to every month due to our special cat or problem child as we call him and his ever so expensive ways haha. He has since had a major surgery resulting in a vet traveling to York to do the surgery and for the most part it's helped but what was amazing was the whole team. From the cleaning crew to the receptionist s through to the nurses and vets have all been incredible. Everyone knows who he is the moment we walk through the door which puts our minds at ease knowing that they know him, his needs and how to help him as he is very shy and needs a blanket over his head to feel safe. The operation did cost a lot but it was very low considering what it would have been if it was done elsewhere. They understood we could pay 90% of it and could pay the other 10 a week later and they were very considerate of that. He's had many check ups and they have been amazing in explaining what is happening and being very informative. The place is always very, very clean and even during the height of Covid they were extra cause with screens and masks which was great. It's always bright and open, during seasons (Xmas, Easter, valentine's ect) they always decorate which is a nice touch. They all make a fuss of every patient coming through their doors which is nice. If you have an emergency they do their very best at fitting you in as soon as possible, which personally for us has always been 30 minutes from the call. The prices are great considering the climate we are all living in. The level of care is just incredible, you can really tell they love the animals and the job. I honestly have the highest of praises for them as they have helped Eli to have a life again, despite him always going to get bladder infections and crystals but now he won't and hasn't blocked since, and he was blocking every week in the end resulting in many catheters which isn't nice but I know he will always have a home with the vets4pets at turner close. We also have 3 other cats and a dog registered with them(which should tell you a lot) and only them and all through my puppies castration and puppy teeth removal they were just as great, welcoming and informative as they were/are with my sick cat. I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do. 2021: Always on hand in an emergency and with one very poorly cat who is in and out of the vets this by far is the best vets we've ever been too. They are considerate of my animals needs and help them no matter what happens. I know Eli is very grateful even though his face might suggest otherwise.

Excellent service from receptionists, nurses and vets! rang at 8 for en emergency appointment, was told come straight down, my rabbit was seen straight away, and back home with me by 6 feeling a lot better and today is back to her mischievous self! Can’t thank the whole team enough!

I got a same day appointment on a Sunday. The vet - Helen - was very kind and explained the situation very well, while being sympathetic to my concerns. Reception staff were lovely too. Also very surprised by the relatively low cost due to us being on a senior dog plan.

Marilyn was so lovely with Belle, and really put her at ease. She also talked everything through with me and went through different examinations to ascertain exactly what was wrong with Belle. She was brilliant, one of the nicest vets I have ever met. I would trust her implicitly with all 4 of my cats. Belle was much happier on her journey home, and she happily wolfed down a ¼ can of tuna when we got home, as a special treat. What great staff,so much compassion in there job. Unfortunately our visit didn't finish great due to having to put our bunny to sleep after having her 4 years 😪. The staff were kind and gave you time with our bunny dolly to say our goodbyes, they didn't try rushing us. The staff really make you and your pet feel special, a few days later a card came with a paw print from our bunny a small bit of hair and some forget me nots. This is such a beautiful gesture from them would rate them highly. We have also use them for many years with our 2 cats and will never change unless we move to far away. The huntington road vets4pets was so much better overall than the clifton moor branch. Staff were friendlier and one owner was allowed in the room with their pet which clifton moor didn't allow which made it hard. The women I dealt with at huntington rd were so nice and knowledgeable, I'm so glad it's the closest vet to where I live now. Thank you for putting us at ease.

They made an appointment at short notice . My dog has a spinal problem and myself and my daughters were very upset . The vet was very quick to react and to explain her health condition to us . The action she took had an immediate effect to help our dog and they saw her the next day to check she had improved. The next vet was very aware of our dogs conditions and was very caring . She wants to see the dog in a week . I found them caring and it was a huge relief for us that she got the help she needed so quickly and with very little fuss or stress to us or our dog .

My cat was treated a few weekends ago elsewhere (at the emergency out-of-hours clinic). This week she needed her stitches out, back at Vets 4 Pets (Turner Close). The nurse had a really good knowledge of what had happened to her (which had been a serious, complicated injury). She must have read her notes really thoroughly. I thought the nurse was fantastic. Friendly but professional; warm, thorough, precise. I was impressed, and grateful that my beloved cat was in such good hands. We've used Vets4Pets for a few years now, and they have been consistently fantastic. It's also incredibly convenient - location, parking & opening hours.

Just returned from my first trip to the vets with my kitten who had turned pink from some poor quality toys. It had gone 11pm and all 3 ladies were wonderful with me and my cat. The receptionist, the nurse and vet were brilliant and so caring. What a lovely team. I was a bit worried but it turned out to be a pleasant visit and I was given all the reassurance o needed. Lovely staff, very helpful. Don't expect you to pay extortionate fees. Always offer choices which will benefit your pet as well as explaining the costs involved. There is no pressure to make any specific decision and the vets clearly love their work and share in the triumphs and the sadnesses that must inevitably occur at times. We have been to other vets in the past but we have every reason to come to Vets4Pets because they care about the humans as well as the pets and give as much information as they fell is necessary to ensure human make informed choices.

Lovley vets, nurses and reception staff My dog had to have emergency treatment over night. They explained everything so well. I knew my dog was in good hands. Put my at ease knowing how good she was being looked after. Even let me go in early in the morning to pick my dog up without an appointment. Due to Covid 19 situation and social distancing pet parents have to stand outside whilst the staff treat the animals.. Today was absolutely pouring down and not everyone drives and are able to shelter whilst waiting.. Surely they could have a bus stop shelter outside for people to stand in whilst waiting.. Other than that the vet was lovely and friendly and looked after my pup very well.

Over all it was a good experience, however with the current situation of covid 19 you can't take pets in. I spoke to the receptionist who was very good then she said would I like a telephone conversation with the vet which was I think £25 I said yes only to be told the same as the receptionist said. So not happy about that at all.

Really friendly practice with lovely, helpful and caring staff. There is a small, convenient car park located next to the building with one space marked for use with a disabled badge. There are dropped curbs and level entry to the building although the front door opens manually and is very heavy. There is no bell for assistance although the reception staff would easily be able to see somebody waiting at the door. The floor inside is level, with plenty of space to move around and easy access to the reception desk.

We rang as soon as they opened as our dogs nose had swollen up overnight and it was starting to restrict his breathing. They said we could come in in an hours time and they would fit him in so we were able to have him seen quickly

Best vets we have ever used. Every staff member is helpful and caring and nothing is too much trouble. Genuinely run by animal lovers who see your pet as family and treat accordingly. By far the best vets in York with staff that explain everything clearly and willing to take owners views into consideration. Also have Physio’s, accupunturist etc connected to the practice which means you have access to both medical and alternative treatments. 100% recommendation.

They've helped so much and are excellent with pets. 24 hours open is a bonus and are usually happy to take in strays and help them find their home or make sure they're in the hands of good charities that can rehome them. They are fantastic there I have a great respect for the vets4pets, Turner close we had a lovely lab/spaniel X dog who we loved unconditionaly he was getting very poorly had bone cancer and arthritis but to old to be operated on but Sophie is a fantastic and caring vet did everything she could for our blazieboy but it was time for us to let blazieboy go to rainbow 🌈 Bridge Sophie made blazieboy comfortable snuggley with his favourite toy and blanket it was very quick and dignified they were lovely with us. When the time was right we got another dog they were over joyed for us and they adore our cheeky monkey 🙊 🐕 🐾 recommend vets4pets that's all 🐾 🐕 💕
