Excellent opticians software with outstanding customer support. I would highly recommend opticabase to every opticians practice no matter how big or small a practice may be. I am someone who is a complete technophobe and not good with computers, but whenever i have had any queries Michael is available and more then willing to help [believe me, this man really does have a patience of a saint!] I was someone who was initially quite sceptical about about practice software, and was recommended opticabase by another optometrist. Having now using it i don't know how any practice could function without it.

We have eight branches and have used many PMS systems over the years, including Focus. When searching for a better system we looked and also trialled extensively the Optix system before choosing Opticabase. I came across Michael Prais and the Opicabase system after seeing a really huge amount of very good testimonials about his service and that really piqued my interest as that is an area where many suppliers really can let us down. After that call everything fitted in to place really easily. It was the smoothest transfer of data and set up I have ever experienced. The system itself is robust and doesn't come up with errors and bugs. The interface is simple and that means it is very easy to use and more vitally it is easy to learn by employees. Over the 30 or so years I have been in optics I have some across a handful of people that just make working so much easier and pleasant and Michael, who I have never actually met in person, is definitely one of those people. Strictly speaking for a business with this many branches, and another coming on line in the Summer, we perhaps could be using the more complex enterprise systems. However the savings in ease of use, reliability and of course costs are more than made up for by choosing Opticabase.

As a locum optometrist I can't rave enough about Opticabase. It is so simple and easy to use, there was no training needed for me to use it. For record keeping it is just fantastic. Everything needed for a thorough eye examination and contact lens assessment is included in there. There are so many clever functions that make it so much quicker to write notes during the eye test. You can clearly see that it was designed by an optometrist. Michael has been so helpful and patient whenever I have had any queries. I would highly recommend Opticabase.

I joined Opticabase when I opened my new practice in 2010. I met Michael at Optrafair and took home a trial pack. Since then I've not looked back. Opticabase is easy, comprehensible, logical and good value for money compared to many other systems out there. It has all you need plus a lot more I haven't even tried yet! We are a small group of Opticians, and are now using Opticabase at 7 of our branches. We spent a lot of time investigating other PMS systems, and found nothing that fitted our needs as well as Opticabase. We run both the dispensing module, and the full clinical version at some branches, and both versions are very user friendly. The tutorial videos have been very useful for training, and Michael is always incredibly quick to respond to any query. Our Optometrists have found the move to the clinical version a smooth transition, they are delighted with how quick and easy the system is to use. It is incredibly important to us that any data entry doesn’t interfere with our time spent with Patients, and Opticabase is so easy to use in the test room environment that Patients hardly notice! A huge benefit to us has been the way that Michael has modified the reporting section to meet our needs. We have been looking at gathering this kind of information about our patients for years, and now we face the exciting prospect of being able to know all there is to know about our patients, so we can ensure they all receive the very best and most personalized service we can offer. We would not hesitate to recommend Michael and the Opticabase team, they are always a pleasure to deal with, and they have created the best PMS system we have seen.
