I've been to a few different yoga classes before, but now I've found Karen I won't be going to any others. She's a fantastic teacher, and I saw so much improvement in my yoga technique doing her classes. She does a range of different routines from tough to super relaxing, and always made sure everyone was at ease and enjoying the class whether it was their first one or thousandth one. I'd highly recommend her no matter what level you're at. And whatever you do - don't miss out on the head massage at the end. Amazing!

I met Karen in Tenerife and our daily yoga sessions together were the best part of my stay! I’d been practicing yoga before, but my month with Karen strengthened my practice both mentally and physically. Karen is great at adapting the level to her students, giving the newbies support and the more advanced yogis some challenge - all in the same class! She is a good guide for connecting the physical to the emotional and the spiritual. I also loved her readings at the end of class. Altogether an inspiring person that I recommend taking one or many classes with!

Karen is an amazing yoga teacher. I have had many 1:1s with her and she has helped me improve my yoga practice, and strength and flexibility incredibly.
She is very good at picking up on some of the bad habits I have obtained previously and suggesting adaptations to poses when I can't get into them (just yet!).
I regularly run marathons and ultra marathons, so Karen has customised her sessions to work with what runners need and around any injuries.
Karen is kind and patient, and I would recommend her to anyone that wants to improve in yoga specifically, or just become stronger and more flexible.

Karen stayed at Nine Coliving as our in-house yoga teacher for 4,5 months during our high season. She did great! Her classes are very clear and fun and Karen has the great ability to adapt to her students. At Nine we have so many different people, from people who have never done yoga to people that are very advanced and a lot of the time they are in the same class. Karen was able to make everyone happy, and not only because of her amazing head massage at the end of the class 😉 on Wednesday’s she taught a meditation and restorative class that was very popular with all of our guests. Apart from the great yogi skills, Karen is just an amazing soul to have around. Super social and cheerful as well as helpful and kind. We will miss her here at Nine! 💕

My first yoga experience! Karen is an amazing instructor and super friendly person. I was worried about making mistakes and not being able to follow the others but Karen helps everyone finding their own flow. Her yoga classes are simply the best way to start the day!

I was really nervous to try yoga in a group setting so Karen gave me an amazing one on one class! She was really friendly and I felt like I could just chat to her about what I found difficult. She gave me lots of postures to help with my back problems and showed me easier options for the postures I find hard in a class. I feel confident enough to try a group class now and would love more lessons from Karen in the future! Would definitely reccomend her to anyone wanting practice yoga.

We met Karen in Nine Coliving in Tenerife, in 2018, and started to attempt her daily yoga morning classes... The best yoga classes we have ever had! The beautiful place and vibes helped but her kindness and calm teaching what she knows and loves so much would make our mornings!! For 2 weeks we started everyday in the best way possible and we can just thank The Floating Yogi for the amazing yoga classes she provided us. I have special needs when it comes to exercise, as I have scoliosis, and Karen was super knowledge and careful about everything! Can't wait to repeat yoga classes with this beautiful woman. Having attended two weeks of Yoga classes with Karen, I learned about the benefits of each pose for my body, how to improve and maintain my practice, and most importantly how each class helps to increase awareness of how I felt about myself and my environment.

Karen is a fantastic teacher, calm, confident and patient. I used to be really anxious about yoga, worried about “being the best” and “doing it right” but with Karen I feel totally at ease to listen to my body and no matter what happens in the class, if I can’t balance or fall out of the poses I know it’s going well and I’m learning to work within my capability and I’m learning in a safe and supported environment
She has a soothing but firm tone and a keen eye for adjustments and adaptations to help you get more out of the class. Every class always leaves me refreshed, rejuvenated and a real sense of achievement. Karen’s classes really are my happy place! Thank you! Karen is such a perfect yoga instructor. To be honest yoga has never really been "my thing", I don't know why exactly but I never fell confortable doing it. When I joined my first class with Karen I was like "hmmm... just once and then we'll see". Well... I'm clearly not a yoga pro yet, but Karen's nice, friendly and 100% non judging teaching made me come back to the class again and again and I could see my progression and this kept me motivated. I sincerly recommend Karen (even to those who would think "yoga is not their thing" ;) )

I met Karen when she was teaching yoga in Tenerife and went to her class every morning on my vacation. Karen's an amazing teacher and her classes are tailored to all participants and their needs. Even as a novice I was made comfortable to follow along, no matter if I was feeling more tired or like being pushed. Her approach is friendly and fun, and keeps you coming back for more! I love the IDEA of yoga, however I’ve been told I am hyper mobile and shouldn’t practice. I’m also quite sceptical about the spiritual side and find it all rather uncomfortable. I’m also so worried about getting things wrong. So when I took a class with Karen I had to try and shake off these preconceptions :/
She made it so easy as her friendly attitude relaxed me straight away. She was there throughout to encourage and adjust my poses. I found myself really enjoying it! Skip to the end where we recentred and I got an amazing head massage - heaven! I found myself getting quite emotional and had a very much needed cry. Left the class feeling amazing and can’t wait to take one with her again!

Karen is attentive to each participant, she is funny and creative. While she gave the pro's ample opportunity to extend their muscles, I did not feel lost as a beginner. She guides, supports, corrects and challenges where needed. The way she ends her class is heavenly and reenergizes the rest of your day.

The Floating Yogi really changed my perspective on yoga. I am a HIIT and burpee kinda gal, but my month long stay in Tenerife was filled with sessions from The Floating Yogi and I came to really enjoy the way that my body felt. She is patient and really great at teaching everyone in the class from beginners to advanced making sure that everyone feels challenged. I left Spain two months ago and still incorporate yoga into my daily work out routines, thanks to The Floating Yogi Namaste.
