I am almost certainly the worst possible yoga and pilates student any teacher could ever have the misfortune to have to teach. Not only am I so inflexible that I struggle to do up my own shoe laces but I also really don't like stretching because my sedentary lifestyle and the amount of pork pies I've eaten over the years make it uncomfortable at best and I'm in my 50s so I'm also cantankerous and disagreeable.
Recognising that it was time to either do something about it or buy a whole new closet full of slip on shoes, I called Laura and arranged some private sessions with her. I was impressed pretty much as soon as she turned up for the first session and managed not to laugh out loud at me in a pair of shorts but she took the trouble to find out what I hoped to achieve and designed a specific program which was a mixture of yoga and pilates especially for me.
I'm still having one to ones with her a few years later, most of the problems I've had with my neck, shoulder and back for years have gone away and I can still put my favourite pair of brogues on all by myself so I would thoroughly recommend Laura.
PS. She's also really, really nice

I have been going to Laura's Thursday evening class for about 2 years now and am always so impressed with how she mixes up the sessions week after week. Her classes are super challenging and the atmosphere is very welcoming! I wouldn't hesitate recommending her instruction to anyone of any ability.

I am so glad I attended Laura's Pilates classes before I joined the gym, she teaches how to perform the moves correctly, the only reason I moved was due to cost as I need to go 3 times a week, Thank you Laura x

I love the Mama and Baby class, after only a few weeks I feel stronger. Laura creates such a calm and non-judgemental environment and is great with all the babies.

Thank you Laura for your wonderful Mama and Baby yoga group - I recommend it to everyone. Having a baby is a scary time in lots of ways. Our bodies have changed so much, things are much looser (!) and it can be hard to attend physical health groups like yoga and Pilates with a baby in tow. I have always found the classes helpful and feel they are really specialist and targeted at my needs as a new mum. I feel my body has really recovered well since having my baby and I think it's due to the skills I learnt in this class.
Another aspect which is positive is the environment Laura has created. I was initially worried to attend yoga with my baby in case my baby was loud, I needed to breastfeed or we were just disruptive. However the group is so relaxed and baby noises and feeding are very welcome! Laura works around us and tells us how to adapt the poses if we're having to hold or feed our babies at the time. It feels tailored to our needs and very helpful. I also think the environment is very friendly and welcoming - I felt comfortable immediately on joining. Thank you Laura

I started going to Laura’s class when a friend recommended them, at that point I think I was probably about 14-15 weeks pregnant. I really wanted to keep up my flexibility and general fitness and wanted to be with a group of mums who were all having babies around the same time. As soon as Freddie was born and I had (just about) recovered from a c section I went straight back to the mat! Laura made sure I didn’t push it too far whilst I was still a bit tender, but it hugely helped getting out and about and moving again. Not just for your fitness but for your sanity! Highly recommend especially if like me you’ve never done a pelvic floor exercise in your life!
