Catherine’s yoga classes are a balm to the soul. As soon as I hear her calm, soothing voice my nervous system starts to relax and everything loosens it’s grip. Catherine intelligently guides you through movement which releases and softens, balances and strengthens. Never pushing, never straining. I feel restored, invigorated and most importantly reconnected to that deep inner part of me which allows me to fully show up for the day and more likely to stay at ease with whatever it may bring.

Bonhays Farm Retreat was a really beautiful experience...I stayed in the Shepherd's Hut, which was so inviting & cosy. Loved hearing the sounds of the cows, horses & sheep & seeing the birds, rabbits, chickens & rooster. The pool was lovely & I had a massage that was out of this world. The food was delicious, the people were lovely, the views were inspiring & the yoga was amazing! Catherine is a great teacher. I would highly recommend this retreat.

I recently attended the 'Breathing for Long Covid Workshop'
Catherine explains the Science in such a great way as to make it accessible to all to understand.
The breath work and practise were of immense benefit and very therapeutic.
Have suffered with Covid on numerous occasions, I think the breathwork and relaxation is a vital part of the healing process.
Would highly recommend this course, and indeed have done so both personally and in my role as a Physiotherapist.

Catherine’s individualistic and inspiring instructions are what help me connect with my body immediately. She guides from the inside out making her yoga style a sensory experience not a shape class. Whenever she’s offered personal suggestions it’s an insight into the depth of her anatomy and movement knowledge. Thanks for holding space and seeing the real me Catherine, you came along at the right time and I feel grateful to have connected with you.

Yoga with Catherine is an enriching experience. She creates a relaxed environment that allows me to explore what is it that I am doing in that particular moment, to reflect on how it feels and what it brings to me, and integrate that experience before continuing. This in turn makes the practice of yoga a lot more fulfilling and beneficial.
Her classes are anatomically informative and clearly explained making it easy to understand what I am being asked to do and more importantly why. Equally, Catherine’s personality and delivery makes her classes enjoyable, and fun experience, while her passion and enthusiasm are infectious.
Catherine has wealth of knowledge and her professionalism, and work ethic is second to none.

Catherine is the best yoga teacher I've ever come across. Her knowledge of anatomy and experience in physical work goes deep, yet she constantly inspires curiosity and exploration. Her teaching style is intuitive, she is a virtuoso at guiding students individually. Even via zoom sessions, it's like she's there in the room with you. For people who like variation, Catherine is a good match since she constantly evolves her classes, it never gets repetitive. And she's got a great sense of humour too, nothing beats laughing out loud during much needed exercise.

Catherine is a wonderful teacher. Her vast and profound understanding of human anatomy leaves you wanting to know more about your body. She is sensitive and attentive, and her yoga teaching is clear and goes deep. It is always imaginative, joyful, and nourishing. Her classes have helped me to trust my body, to be curious, and to enjoy the pleasure of movement. Having learned from her in person on the Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training course, I am so thankful that I can continue the amazing journey on which she encouraged me to embark in her online classes. I highly recommend you give it a go!

As someone in his 70s and not the most flexible, I have found Catherine’s yoga classes a revelation. I love that she uses her knowledge of anatomy as well as yoga to encourage us to explore ways and effects of moving. She is very helpful in her individual comments and so her classes are always stimulating as well as fun.

I have been practising yoga with Catherine since 2014. Mostly in person and more recently in her live online classes. Moving and breathing with Catherine is an invitation to feel, to sense and to just be. Her presence is warm, attentive and feels endlessly supportive. The subtle observations of the body and the clarity of language comes from years of her own movement explorations. I find practise with Catherine to be very nourishing and soothing, which is much needed during the unsettling time of the pandemic.

Catherine is sensitive, intelligent and fun as a teacher. I love that the classes are constantly evolving, that she brings new discoveries/perspectives to the practice so I feel I am on a continuous journey with(in) myself. I have had the privilege to learn from Catherine in person, on her Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training, but I must say her online classes are amazingly nourishing and accessible. Highly recommended!

My partner and I have been doing classes with Catherine for several years now, IRL and online this past year. She is a brilliant teacher, with great wit and sensitivity. Her method helps you learn how to understand your own body. I have learned a lot about anatomy and always enjoy my sessions. Catherine's approach is very intelligent, driven by curiosity and she has a great ability to communicate her deep knowledge and love of yoga.

Catherine’s weekly on line classes are a glimpse into the internal mechanisms of movement in our bodies, really useful in yoga practise and help to create a thorough asana session. At the same time it is an absorbing and mindful experience, which is relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend.

Just back from a fabulous yoga weekend with Catherine at Gayles Retreats, East Sussex. It was excellent in every way and highly recommend Catherine's teaching. Her focus on awareness and deep sensitive listening to the body rather than 'performance' or 'achievement'of any pose means everyone can feel comfortable at any level. I've enjoyed her teaching online during the lockdowns, but in person even better. She has a lovely warm presence, and teaches with a combination of light down to earth humour mixed with seriousness challenge and depth. Great stuff!

Catherine is a highly experienced teacher and a keen student of anatomy. She has a sense of humour, is always well-prepared and treats her class as adults with a minimum of yoga jargon. Experienced yoga practitioners can learn from her and beginners will not be intimidated. Highly recommended.

Catherine's classes are always a journey of learning and imagination. I have learnt more about my practice and the practice of yoga in her classes than I have in any other class in years. A combination of authentic knowledge and deep understanding together with a sprinkle of humour makes every class unique. Highly recommended.

Catherine is a wondeful teacher who combines technical expertise with a down-to-earth approach. She teaches you to tune into your own body and respond to what you need, rather than try to recreate specific shapes. At the same time she grounds every class in a deep understanding of human anatomy and mechanics, which is particularly valuable for anybody working with injuries or back issues. I find that her classes soothe me while still building strength and stability. I think they have also improved the way I move in my day-to-day life. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Catherine. She is a quite exceptional teacher no matter where you are in your yoga journey. Catherine has guided me to a yoga which has fired my curiosity and sensitivity to observe the movements of my body, mind and consciousness. I hope that doesn’t sound too ‘heavy’, but isn’t that what yoga is about? She has helped me to observe the knots of physical, thinking and emotional habit that seems to create those tiresome cycles of discomfort and dissatisfaction. The way Catherine teaches shows that she trusts us to develop our own natural intelligence in sensing and feeling, so that postures unfold when they are ready and are never forced. But while kind, gentle and frequently humorous, Catherine’s yoga is not ‘floppy’. It is also demanding of attention and right effort. I am very glad that I found her. Your body and mind will thank you.

Catherine has a deeply sensitive approach to yoga and these sessions are suitable for people of all abilities. She keenly observes her students and is encouraging as well as sensitive in her suggestions. Her warmth and knowledge is evident, and you will learn something new each session regardless of your experience. Highly recommended.

I really enjoy my weekly Yoga with Catherine. Her classes are accessible to all levels, clearly explained and are never the same. She is a kind, highly experienced teacher. I emerge feeling well stretched, relaxed and more at ease with the world!

Practicing yoga with Catherine is a delicious opportunity to truly explore what it means to be in a body and, to focus so completely, that the world outside is completely forgotten for the duration of the class. Catherine's yoga is very grounding and intuitive. The body feels lighter, more open and the mind quieter, less busy.

In many ways Catherine's classes have been a life saver for me over the last year. She is a supremely generous, knowledgeable and communicative teacher. Her rich approach offers students a space to curiously explore and deepen practice through a wealth of imagery and her extensive understanding of the body. I also deeply appreciate her contagious sense of humour. What a wonderful human.

I'm so grateful for Catherine's online classes and workshops. Booking is easy and the video and audio quality is excellent. I love Catherine's classes because everything offered can be adpated to how I feel/what I'm able to do on the day, and Catherine's expert guidance means the subtle yet demanding practice always leads me to learn and discover something new about myself and my yoga practice.

Catherine is steeped in this little-known but powerful discipline of yoga and shares her knowledge with empathy and eloquence. Whether you are thinking of exploring yoga for the first time or wish to complement and deepen your existing practice, I urge you to discover one of Catherine's classes or workshops for yourself.

Catherine was my mentor during my two year yoga teacher training in Triyoga, UK. Her knowledge of anatomy and decades of experience are highly regarded. Her teaching is about being true to your own body, listening and exploring, rather than forcing it. Highly recommend!

I attended Catherine’s “Demystifying Vagus” Workshop on Saturday 6th February. It is such an informative workshop that I recommend it to anyone with an interest in the human body, you don’t need to be a Yoga Teacher to take part.
Catherine is a great teacher, she has such a lovely style of teaching which is not only very soothing and relaxing but matches well to the content of the workshop. The delivery of the workshop over Zoom is very professional and has a mix of interaction through movement and interesting tasks as well as power point slides to support the delivery of content.
Thank you Catherine, it was a great 2.5 hours.

Catherine teaches with sensitivity, calmness and humour. She freely shares her wealth of knowledge of anatomy and fascia and this knowledge can really assist in opening the body to move deeper into the asanas as well helping to create more body mindfulness. The classes are gentle but can also be challenging. I leave Catherine’s classes feeling energised, relaxed and nurtured. She is a fab teacher!

Catherine is a wonderful yoga teacher who teaches with warmth, imagination and such a depth of knowledge. I thoroughly enjoy her weekly classes and workshops which always leave me feeling both inspired and energised.

I started attending Catherine's yoga classes during the first Covid lockdown and it became a real life saver for me - a real highlight of the week and helped me stay calm and breathe properly.
Catherine's classes are very different in their approach to working with the body than other classes I have attended. She always shares her extensive knowledge of the body and I love exploring how my body feels about poses in stead of adjusting my body to manage a pose. This has been extremely helpful and inspiring for me in my own practice. It helps me connect with and tune into myself and allows me to do poses in a way that works for me. I highly recommend her classes - I have only ever attended via Zoom link, which she has set up and manages brilliantly well - I look forward to attend a face2face class at some point in the future, but for now this is just wonderful!

I have been a regular student of Catherine's for about 5 years and feel blessed to have found her. I had been practising yoga for over 25 years but it is through Catherine that I have learnt most about my body, how it works and how to move it so that it feels good. I have also learnt so much about my mind and nervous system - all lessons which I can take beyond the classroom. Catherine has a wonderful perceptive generous teaching style. It is hard to put into words how much she has taught me. Mostly, I think I have learnt to accept and enjoy the power and beauty of my body and mind rather than feel frustrated or angry by its limitations. It is both intellectually stimulating and wonderfully calming - challenging one to think more deeply but also to accept what is. She also has a great sense of humour!

I’ve been going to Catherine’s classes for about ten years, sometimes more consistently than others but one of the brilliant things about her classes is that I can drop in easily and get up to speed with the recent themes of exploration.
Catherine’s way of describing and visualising how to move is like a body meditation for me. I might start the session with a racing mind thinking that I will never be able to focus and then I’m taken on journey of body and breath exploration that never fails to bring me into the present moment.
I have learnt so much about how my body works, what it can do and where I may have some limitations, discovering at a gentle pace, with small movements that can become surprisingly more intense and challenging. I have so many Aha! moments and I find the images of muscular anatomy that she shares in some sessions help me to understand in more depth what is going on in my own body.
Catherine inspires a sense of curiosity and noticing in me when it comes to how my body works and an invitation to ‘hang out’ in a stretch or posture with no expectation of the outcome makes this the ideal yoga class for me. I leave a class feeling recharged and relaxed.

Last Saturday I attended a live Zoom workshop led by Catherine. It was entitled The Vagus Nerve, something about which I knew nothing before I attended the workshop but which now fascinates me. This is due to Catherine's knowledge and enthusiasm. The extremely well-prepared workshop was a perfect balance between listening and activity. It left me calm and happy all weekend. Not only do you have the workshop but a recording is available for 7 days which gives ample opportunity to check out anything you cannot quite remember. Prior to attending the workshop I had followed recordings of Catherine's classes but it was a real treat to "see" her in person. Her kindness, compassion and interest in her students made this workshop a real treat. I shall definitely be booking some more Zoom workshops and classes with Catherine and maybe, post Covid, I will even be able to get to a live lesson.😊

Catherine's weekend retreat at Gayles was a complete treat. So special to be practicing with fellow yoga lovers, lead by Catherine in her relaxed style, encouraging us to delve into our bodies and stretch ourselves. Thank you so much.

Catherine is a very insightful and knowledgeable teacher. The classes are always challenging and interesting and require the student to engage with the process of yoga rather than just making shapes

I found Catherine through recommendation after suffering an injury. I couldn’t work out what it was that she did that allowed me to leave her classes feeling so calm, so very supported and in much less pain. She has an amazing ability to transport you deep into your body, so that the experience is yours alone. On zoom sometimes, she can spot things that makes you wonder how she even knew you were sensing that. She is highly in tune with experiential movement, couple that with her anatomy knowledge, it allows her to take you on a little journey if only for a short while, it's a lot like taking a holiday.

Catherine is a wonderful yoga teacher with a deep wisdom and knowledge of the body. The classes bring deep relaxation as the body unfurls at its own pace. Add to that the offbeat elements that surprise and sense of humour that delights. The classes are a j

I've just finished a 5 day immersive and intensive Scaravelli inspired yoga course with Catherine at Gayles retreat ( A stunning retreat centre with beautiful gardens and deliciously nutritious food)
The breadth and depth of Catherine's teaching is vast and she generously shares all this knowledge to us, her students, enabling us to exceed our own perceived limits. I have been teaching yoga since 2003 and this was a valuable extension to my existing knowledge and provided many rich insights, which I will be able to incorporate into my own practice, as well as my teaching. Thank you Catherine!

Look no further if you are looking for a first time teacher training, or like myself, to further my training..!!
Catherine and Tanya hold such an amazing nurturing space, even in these strange pandemic times. All the teachers on this course are very experienced in their fields, I’m only on module 2 but know 100% that I made the best choice.

Catherine's Vagus Workshop provided a refreshing approach, through theory and practice, to an area that is often mentioned without real understanding.
Her research and knowledge was succinctly shared in an amicable delivery providing the background for an original practice. I really enjoyed her approach, working with body awareness as a prerequisite rather than striving for body shapes formulated by asana nomenclature.
She whetted our appetites and provided us with fuel for thought supported by a comprehensive book list. Having access to a recorded version of the workshop for 7 days after the live session was also useful in allowing us to consolidate what we had learnt. Highly recommended.

You will never leave a class taught by Catherine without learning something about yourself/your body. And along the way, you will have had some fun. Only last week, I had to imagine "riding a fat horse" .....
