Abi is a wonderful teacher, very patient and knowledgeable and I would highly reccomend her dressmaking for beginners workshop. I am currently halfway through this course and have enjoyed making different products each week. Do one of Abi's workshops, you won't regret it!

I’ve been on two of Abi’s sewing courses now both have been excellent, love her ethos towards being as sustainable and eco as possible with all her makes. During the courses she is also so patient with you, no question is too silly and you are left feeling you can do it and end up with a project which you are really proud of.

I bought one of Abigail’s Christmas wreath-making kits and joined in with her online tutorial. The kit was fantastic, providing me with everything I would need, plus extra so I could choose how I wanted my wreath to look. (I even had enough to make a table centrepiece too.) The online tutorial was brilliant - it felt fun and personal, as well as being clear with the instructions and guidance in terms of the actual make. Abi is great at making everything she does accessible and sustainable - the session left me feeling encouraged and enthusiastic to have a go again in the future and try to source items for making things at home in a simpler and more ethical way too.

I am on week 5 of the online dressmaking course, I was nervous about doing a dressmaking course online due to the practical nature of the learning. However, Abi has thought through the logistics really well and had made it very accessible and fun. Although it would have been great to do in person, by doing it online I have been able to enjoy this experience with my sister who lives in Scotland. I have made a bag that I love and a top I am going to wear ALOT! My confidence in dressmaking has increased, I would definitely reccomend this course!

Attended an embroidery workshop at BEAR, it was great! Abi was very patient and able to adapt the workshop content to meet the variety of abilities within the group. She was very encouraging and keen to teach us new skills. All equipment was provided. A lovely way to spend an evening!

I took part in one of Abigail's online embroidery classes over Zoom as a completely embroider beginner. I received a wonderful pack of materials, including a really lovely reusable embroidery hoop. The class was in a small group, so everything was personalised to our skill levels and Abigail was able to check in on us and talk through our design choices. I learned several different stitches and techniques, and made my own embroidery that I'm so proud of! It was a lovely evening at a relaxed pace. Thank you Abigail!

I have 2 of Abi's beautiful tapestries hanging at home - they're stunning and everyone who sees them wants to know where they come from! I even made my own during a workshop at the Breathing Space Yoga studio. Abi's patience and skill at guiding each step clearly, combined with her warm and friendly approach, made it an amazing experience. She even served us coffee and cake from Shardlow cakes. Yum! I heartily recommend Abi's workshops.

She was engaging and patient, it was thoroughly enjoyable and I felt I learnt a lot - despite the challenges that Zoom can bring. Using the kit she sent us, we first learnt the basics of embroidery, then put them to practice by making a good start on our own creations. I attended Abi’s beginners tapestry class which was completed over Zoom. It was fantastic. I was bought the tapestry set as a birthday gift and everything that you need to be able to start your first tapestry is in the kit. Abi explained everything clearly and easily. Abi was able to show how to start off your tapestry very easily over zoom. I would 100% recommend Abi’s class and her tapestry kit.
