I decided to try out one of the free taster sessions that was on offer locally. It was easy to book and communication was really clear as to start time and what to bring.
Both Tony and Sophie were extremely welcoming and Tony took time to explain what we would be doing in the taster session. I did not know what to expect but certainly enjoyed the session and inclusivity. Following the end of the session Sophie clearly explained the booking process.
The next day, as promised, I received an email explaining how to book and I was able to book my next 6 sessions with no problem at all.
Both Tony and Sophie make you feel at ease. I have not done Pilates before and Tony goes into detail regarding the mechanics of the body and what the movements should feel like. You are made to feel comfortable whatever your level and ability and this is one of the reasons I am enjoying attending. If you are thinking of trying then give it a go!
Both Tony and Sophie make you feel that you are an individual and support you throughout the exercises. So pleased I signed up!

Pilates has proven to be a great asset to me, after months of physiotherapy 2021 I choose to attend twice a week. All the groups are very sociable & I have even attended another area with Tony & Sophie. Highly recommended, no pressure & a great experience… every time.

Tony is a knowledgable instructor who, along with Sophie, puts you at ease. I have struggled with lower back/pelvic/hip pain on and off for years. I have had every pain killer available and tried many things to ‘cure’ it over the years, but Pilates is definitely the answer for me. Tony teaches you how to be acutely aware of each part /muscle in your body and skilfully adapts the exercises to your level of ability. Pilates also helps with my mental health which I have also struggled with considerably over recent years. The level of focus needed to complete the exercises effectively, helps my brain to focus solely on what I’m doing and not to be distracted to other stressors. If you haven’t tried Pilates before then don’t be scared to give it a go 👍🏼

My eldest granddaughter said “Granny, I bet you can’t stand on one leg” to me one day. “Of course I can” was my answer. The reality was I really couldn’t! I was looking for a Pilates class near me and only found Yoga and that didn’t appeal to me. Then an advert popped up on Facebook for Balanced Coaching Pilates classes. I booked a taster session and was immediately hooked!
I struggle with my mental health and my anxiety was very high going to that taster class but Sophie and Tony along with the ladies attending the class quickly put me at ease. A few months down the line and I’m more flexible, I can walk much better, I sit straighter, I have less aches and pains and overall my mobility from head to toe is fantastic. I’m getting better every session, even though life/family/work sometimes means I miss a class.
Everyone at both classes I’ve been to are very friendly. I am very self conscious but no one watches how you’re doing things as we’re al concentrating on what we are doing. There’s only Tony watching making sure we are achieving the right moves and positions.
If you’re unsure about having a taster session please don’t hesitate to give it a go. It’s changed and is still changing my life.

Tony is very knowledgeable and makes sure all class members are catered for, adapting moves for all abilities. After just six weeks of classes I am already noticing a difference in my posture and feel stronger.

Having had some aches and pains with my knees, I decided to have a go at Pilates knowing the great benefits you can achieve , well I can honestly say I love it Tony who puts you at ease and is very informative checking we are all in the right positions , a bit of light banter and friendly faces I would highly recommend , I always feel motivated and more mobile after each lesson , give it a try so glad I did and will continue to do so , Sophie always a friendly face who can support you through the booking in process which is easy to do , the flexibility of trying different groups is very convenient if you need to change to a different day .

Pilates classes with Balanced coaching help me increase my mobility and flexibility after having corrective scoliosis surgery 15 years ago.
When I first started I was anxious that I wouldn't be able to do anything but Tony is great at encouraging you and also challenging you. I can't recommend them Balanced Coaching highly enough!

Mixed ability class really is what it says on the tin. Plenty of options re difficulty, also re adjustment wise.
Additional advice always available also.

Tried Pilates before but found it hard with my health issues. Have explained them all to Tony who is very understanding & always checks I have any new issues or pain before starting. I'm more aware of my body now & find myself pulling in & up more often!
