I absolutely love The Pilates Hub!!!
When I first entered that beautiful studio fitted out with all of the classical pilates equipment I knew straight away it was a very special place!
All the teachers are super knowledgeable, welcoming and fun to be around.
Definitely the best excercise I have ever done and for sure one that releases huge amount of endorphins and other feel good chemicals :D
Can't recommend enough!!!

Newbie to reformer pilates and after a couple of ops was keen to step it up from mat but a little nervous...but loving the workouts! and can feel a big improvement after only a few classes. Elaine is great teacher and takes time to explain and help with adjustments. The classes are small so you get really good direction. Lovely studio.

Pilates with the great team at Pilates Hub have helped keep my mind and body together during Covid.
From never having done a class before I've now become a firm and keen convert to the Reformer classes. All the teachers are kind and supportive and excel in their fields. I feel taller* (*not medically proven) and my overall strength and flexibility have markedly improved. Thoroughly recommended!

If you have never tried pilates on a reformer, or don't even know what a reformer is, then you should give The Pilates Hub a try! I am an endurance athlete and love coming here to develop my strength, stability and control. Very attentive and knowledgeable teachers working with small class sizes.
UPDATE: I did a functional test for running with a new coach recently, and he said I had some of the best scores he'd seen ... which we credit to regular pilates :) Thanks Hub crew for keeping it fresh and interesting!!

I love the Pilates Hub! Everyone involved is so welcoming, friendly and chatty and genuinely interested. I definitely feel part of the Pilates Hub community. The teachers are fantastic. They are very patient with me, I rarely get to grips with the more complicated exercises. They explain things in enough but not too much detail and I feel that I learn something new every week. Classes at the Pilates Hub have been revolutionary for me and I am hooked! They have made a huge difference to my posture. I am much more supple and generally feel great after every class. I really notice when I haven't been for a week or two. I started on a one to one basis and when confident enough I joined a class. I would definitely recommend the Pilates Hub to anyone thinking about Pilates.

The Pilates Hub is my happy place! My Reformer class with Lorna is the highlight of my week. I always leave feeling energised and clear-headed no matter what sort of day I've had.
Practising Pilates regularly has completely got rid of the shoulder and low back pain I used to experience. I love it because it works your whole body - it strengthens your muscles whilst keeping good alignment in mind. It really is the smartest, most efficient workout around. And no better place to do it than The Pilates Hub. The studio is fully kitted out with beautiful classical apparatus and the teachers are friendly, encouraging and excellent banter!
I highly recommend The Pilates Hub if you want to change your body and have fun at the same time.

The Pilates Hub is great for both mat and reformer. The classes are small and really personalised to your abilities. The instructors are lovely and take time with you individually throughout the classes to help correct you or push you further to get the most from the moves. The studio is lovely with top quality equipment. I always leave feeling great after a class.

Hands-down the best place to do Pilates in Edinburgh! I moved up from London a year ago, and this is the only studio that offers the same quality of service, professionalism, and range of equipment as the studios in London. It's very difficult to find that anywhere else in the UK, so this studio is a real gem. Ellie has years of experience, and brings her bright and passionate energy to everything she does. I'm a Pilates teacher, and I wouldn't have moved here if it weren't for the Hub!

Think Pilates is a load of celebrity 'wellness' keech? Challenge your view at The Pilates Hub in Leith!
Incredibly knowledgeable and motivated teachers will support you to make gains in your flexibility and fitness. I can't believe what I can do now compared to when I started on the (admittedly scary-looking) apparatus, and never want to stop building on my skills.
Did I mention it's a laugh, too? No po-faced teachers here!

I am currently doing my teacher training at the Hub and cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are extremely knowledgeable in classical Pilates and the bright studio is very well-equipped. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming whatever your level of experience. What more could you want?

This is a special place. When I moved home to Edinburgh 3 years ago I had just qualified to teach classical mat in London and was looking for somewhere to continue my own practice that had a fully equipped studio and a love for the full Pilates method. I took a class with Ellie, was hooked immediately and didn’t need to look anywhere else. When I decided that I wanted to learn to teach the full method Lorna appeared and I’m now halfway through my Advanced Teacher training programme with The Pilates Center Boulder hosted by The Pilates Hub. One to ones, duets, group mat, tower & reformer classes are all on offer here. Along with teacher training and workshops with some of the very best and well know international Pilates teachers, think Amy Taylor Alpers, Benjamin Degenhardt, Rebekah Rotstein. You are guaranteed a friendly welcome, loads of fun, high quality teaching, traditional apparatus, and the opportunity to create the change you want in your own body, mind and spirit.

I visited The Pilates Hub on the last day of a very long business/holiday trip. I was pleased to find out that they did take Sunday bookings, so I took a bus out to Leith and had an absolutely wonderful class with Lorna, a young American woman who is one of the trainers. The facility is great; they use Scandinavian built Pilates equipment which has a slightly different feel than North American ones, but I ended up really liking. All of my contacts with the Hub, from the owner Ellie to the office manager, Gill, were pleasant and professional. If I lived in Edinburgh, they would be my studio. I cannot recommend them too highly.

I was visiting Edinburgh for a few days from Washington, DC and I took two fantastic classes at The Pilates Hub with the studio owner Ellie Carr. She has a beautiful studio along the Shore that is fully equipped with classical Pilates equipment. Ellie teaches the authentic Joe Pilates method and she’s a wonderful teacher. I highly recommend checking out her studio!

I enjoy my time in the Pilates Hub with Elaine; she challenges me in a positive way.

I was referred to The Pilates Hub by my osteopath, following a back injury. For me, it was a safe and effective way to build on my core strength and aid in my recovery. As the Hubs' speciality is Pilates, the teachers are extremely knowledgeable & professionable. Compared to other larger classes I have attended, the smaller class sizes work well, with the instructors able to point out bad habits and also to give encouragement, so you feel like you are truly progressing. What started out as an aid to recovery is turning into a new passion and part of my life.

Norma and I attend our Pilates classes every week with Elaine Turner, and we find she is an excellent teacher, helpful and very patient, and we do have some laughs and fun.
I am vaguely around the 80 year old status and manage to do all the exercises and am now quite a fit person. Two years ago I had difficulty getting up from a chair and now it is just a normal activity. I don’t want to go back to where I came from; I am just happy where my fitness is now.
Thoroughly recommend Pilates and the HUB.

I love going to classes at the Pilates Hub. Before, I'd have thought all that equipment was only for serious athletes but I've come to learn that the classes do wonders for stretching me out after a hard day hunching over a computer screen. And there's no doubt that I'm getting stronger and improving over time. Couldn't wish for a more welcoming, or more accepting bunch of teachers and classmates. 100% recommend.

I really look forward to my class every week and miss it when I have to skip a week. It's a friendly, chilled out, relaxed (apart from the actual pilates workout of course!) atmosphere with very helpful and expert teachers. I went along not really knowing much about pilates but wanted to improve my flexibilty, posture and strength and the all round workout the classes here gives me are really helping me achive my goal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Pilates Hub.

Pilates Hub is Edinburgh and Leith’s best kept exercise secret. Housed on the first floor of an old Leith warehouse, this beautiful, light space is equipped with the latest Scandinavian built Pilates equipment; everything from floor mats and toe stretchers to Reformers and Cadillacs. The teaching staff are highly experienced and wonderfully welcoming.

I love The Pilates Hub! If you haven't tried classical pilates in the pilates Hub it, you should! It has changed my body completely. When I moved here my previous pilates teacher was one who actually recommended the Pilates Hub and it has been the best choice ever.

Having spent several years doing mat Pilates, I have found using the all apparatus equipment at Pilates Hub quite life changing in terms of what my body can do ! As an older person with knee issues , the equipment ,combined with the team’s excellent tuition , has enabled me to keep flexible and continue to build my core strength and stamina . Give it a try !

I'd give The Pilates Hub TEN stars if I could. The extra stars are for:
- teachers who go the extra mile to ensure I get the most out of every session
- the friendly welcome & happy atmosphere
- the best mats ever
- seriously knowledgeable teachers who continue to develop their own learning
- the sense of wellbeing after a class in the Hub: I always go home smiling ...😀x

I tried Pilates to help with long term back issues and then I got hooked! I’m a regular to mat classes but have tried all the equipment classes too and it’s done wonders. It’s a whole body workout and amazing for your mind too. All the teachers are so supportive and there’s a great social aspect to classes as well. Try a class you won’t regret it!

Took a great mat class with Lorna while I was visiting Leith. She's an excellent teacher and the studio is beautiful. They also have Pilates equipment classes. Highly recommended!

I can't think of anywhere else that I would want to do my Pilates with such amazing knowledgeable supportive and friendly teachers, all the apparatus you could wish for and a light filled studio to boot. I am so lucky and I really appreciate it all.

My teachers are professional, exacting yet gentle; the atmosphere is friendly and what's more, The Hub has given me my mobility back! Uncle Joe would be proud of them.

What a special place this is. Great teachers, great studio and a very friendly and open atmosphere. I joined as a novice and there was no elitism or judgement. Small classes, expert instruction.
