In the post/still-pandemic yoga classes, it has become rare to see a teacher who is committed to sharing his/her yoga teaching with students by using his/her hands. Joe asked the class if anyone would like not to receive hand adjustment, so it's not something you have to have if you don't feel it. But for me, I love getting hand adjustment and Joe surprised me with his preciseness, attention to details, and care for students. I noticed that he gave each and every one of his students very well-tailored adjustment for a few breathings more than what other teachers normally spend. His spiritual teaching was also kind and compassionate. I will definitely try to return to his class.

Joe has a deep understanding of both the technical and the philosophical aspects of yoga. Blending his sense of humour with a clearly communicated teaching style he makes sure to challenge you, while also helping you feel at ease.
Great for beginner and advanced levels. Ask him anything and he will give you an easy to digest explanation to help you understand the importance of each pose or demonstrate them in more detail. His patience and kindness shines through the entire practise.

I’ve been quite athletic for many years but always wanted to start practicing yoga as I knew in the back of my mind how important it is for mobility and many other benefits. Joe is an old family friend who I haven’t seen for many years but always knew he was the man to ask for some advice. After a good catch up we decided to start early morning classes once a week via zoom. Being a total novice to Yoga and not having a clue with the terminology, the challenge of not watching and copying movements like you would in a personal class, I was apprehensive to say the least with my ability. Needless to say the first practice went well. This just shows what an incredible teacher Joe is. The patience through his calming voice when I’d become slightly frustrated with movements, and his supportive words of encouragement only made me feel more comfortable. Week on week pleasing progress not only physically, but mentally with some basic mantras Joe included. I see life slightly differently these days with a lot of self awareness which I can only thank him for. Lastly, if you’re thinking about Yoga yourself then Joe’s will not disappoint. Professional, approachable and a true gent.

Joe is an exceptional yoga teacher. His power yoga sequences are exciting and challenging and he knows exactly how far to push you. Joe is a very kind person and he takes a personal interest in each and every one of his students, offering endless tips and advice and helping them to progress with their practice. Before taking a class with Joe I didn’t feel yoga was for me. I’ve now been doing yoga for almost two years and I can’t imagine my life without it. Joe is a wonderful teacher, he is patient and calm, but he is also the driving force that keeps you going when you are tempted to give up. Joe started teaching me yoga in the first lockdown last year. I had tried yoga before with many different instructors and many different types and even though I had a sense there was something there that was valuable I never managed to stick with it. But Joe has completely changed that - through his calm, cheerful, and insightful practice I have been loving it for a year now. Can't recommend Joe's Vinyasa yoga class more! Slow flow paced and very strong at the same time, I always leave both relaxed and re-energized. Joe has a very particular attention to every details for each practitioner with no judgement and leaving you free to listen and adapt to your own needs during the class. His regular meditation experience that he brings into his teaching opened me to another way of practicing yoga too, an interesting experience if you want to try something new :) (at least it was all new to me and I'm learning more and more every time)

Joe is by far one of the best yoga teachers I have come across in London and I could not recommend him highly enough.
I went to a few of his classes before lockdown started and then joined online as I really liked his teaching style - friendly, clear, and concise but always a dash of humour! He can cater for both beginners, as well as those with a more advanced practice and provides both pointers and praise. He is incredibly knowledgeable and will happily field any questions after class.
It was a pleasure to see my practice grow stronger week on week during lockdown, thanks to Joe, and my brother and I always looked forward to his classes. Can't wait to get back to one in real life! Really can't recommend him enough!

Joe is a fantastic teacher, so calm and patient. My husband and I took his online lessons during lock down, first as part of a group and then privately. It was wonderful! It really helped us get through the day when we couldn’t leave the house, his instructions were clear and very detailed so we didn’t really need to be looking at the camera. He was always aware when we were struggling with a pose and walked us through it step by step. His voice is very calming and relaxing, always motivating us to keep trying when the positions were challenging always mindful of your body and strength. He was very supportive and celebrated with us every small and big success. Every lesson was different and engaging. We can’t recommend him highly enough!

A MUST DO MEDITATION SESSIONS.
I highly recommend the friday 30 minute sessions if you run a busy life or not if It is ideal on a friday lunch time end of week where you might have had your share of the good, the bad and the ugly. Here with guidance from joe's nurturing guidance you have the chance to pause, take a step back, a deep breath and just sit with what is - slowly the focus on the breath draws you inward - your breath and its sensation coming through the nose and out of the nose calms your nervous system - you suddenly without effort allow your breath to breath your body - aligning body and mind. To sit - just simply sit and focus notice and gently return. Joe gently and carefully explains over and over again what meditation truly is! alot have the wrong perceptions on meditation. and are put off by the idea of mediation is about stopping thoughts. and the fact is that is impossible. the mind is there to work! mediation as joe explains is simply to focus notice and return. it is not to stop thoughts. or feelings and emotions that arise from those feelings. Joe also uses an intention every month that is linked to so called paramitas. a fancy word for nobel behaviors - or simply behaviours - we know of 6 behaviours and all these need to be practiced in order to be good at them, like playing the guitar. but here with the mind in question, who doesn't want to have a spacious mind, in a world where we are governed by mostly false perceptions. all beings have one thing in common, the desire to be happy. With joes mediation your heart starts to open and be spaciouse. it doesn't happen immediately as it is a practice! but you for SURE see feel glimpses of inner peace. ease.balance. what we all are looking for. also joe has time for discussions at times simple daily challenges and irritations we are all not immune to. to take my word for it,try it yourself. TEST IT OUT.
