I can’t recommend or thank Stillpoint London enough. I’d practiced yoga off and on for over 20 years, but it wasn’t until I joined Stillpoint that I developed a regular practice and my yoga and health flourished.
Six years ago, I arrived with lots of ongoing injuries – both knees and shoulder (RSI thanks to computers) and Scott and his team helped me learn how to practice to overcome these problems and heal. Their flexible and sensitive approach meant that I didn’t need to give up yoga – which at one point it looked like I might have needed to do. Last year I walked the Camino de Santiago, something I couldn’t have done before due to knee problems. I feel so grateful that I’ve developed a strong self-practice that has helped me during my travels and Lockdown.
When I first walked in I knew I had found my home. At Stillpoint, yoga is moving meditation – this spiritual dimension has always been important to me and one of the reasons why I had never enjoyed Ashtanga before. Stillpoint is also about friendship and community – I’ve lost count of the number of times, I’ve had hugs, cried or laughed with the team. I can’t wait to join them again when they reopen.

Their adjustments are precise, mindful and energising, this really helped my practice improve. Scott and team instruct Mysore Style Ashtanga yoga and Scott has created a warm and friendly space which caters for complete beginners through to advanced practitioners. The team all have deep knowledge of the practice and help apply it on an individual basis in a safe, respectful manner. If you're looking for yoga that is more than a 90-minute workout to an on-trend playlist you should go to Still Point London. The teaching is exceptional. You get 1:1 attention in a group setting. There are multiple teachers in each class so you get lots of support. They care about students as individuals and will work with you to understand your body and your needs and how yoga can support you. When so much yoga in this city can feel impersonal and lacking in connection or meaning, Still Point London is a refreshing change and a very special place.

It was just a short flight from Luxembourg to enjoy a week of morning Mysore at Stillpoint London. It was intense to experience Mysore in a big city for the first time but I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of this room, with these dedicated yogis and their loving community - I just felt that I had landed in the right shala.
I had the privilege to attend Scott’s workshops at Ashtanga Yoga Luxembourg before, and he really shares his passion and his wisdom in a very intuitive and carrying way. Even in London, Scott was always helping me to find more space in the postures, to go deeper by trusting my body, or adapting the posture to go some further with what I already had - space and mindfulness are the key. The other teachers were very helping, attentive and carrying too, they share the same love and wisdom for what they do and contribute to energise this beautiful community of Mysore practitioners in London. Stillpoint Yoga - a beautiful shala I’d like to visit more often from now on :)
