I have had a lower back/hip problem that has escalated over the past 2 years to the point I couldn’t play competitive sports anymore. One session with Verity has already alleviated almost all of the discomfort. I played football last night and for the first time in years felt no pain after. Her acute knowledge about the body and how it works, coupled with her genuine desire to help and get you back to fitness is second to none. I couldn’t recommend her more.

My two largest toes on my right foot had started to swell badly when I ran and even just walking was becoming painful. Verity identified the problem in my gait really quickly and was able to show me where I was going wrong on a video. She then gave me three simple (but fairly strenuous) exercises. I did the exercises every day and was able to contact her for additional tips, she even found additional content on the internet which helped me understand what was going wrong. After a week of doing the exercises and really focusing on my gait the swelling and pain had subsided and I'm now able to run again without any issues!

Having been diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome over 15 years ago, I regularly suffer from ticks that affect my regular breathing pattern. I was recently suffering from a tick that was disrupting my breathing as well hyperventilating as a result of my anxiety. I reached out to Verity for her advice and she gave me effective tools to bring my breathing back under control. She has taught me useful techniques to manage breathing moving forward and retrain my breathing patterns with a view to bringing my ticks under control. Although it is still relatively early days, I have already noticed a significant reduction in ticks since employing Verity’s techniques. I couldn’t recommend Verity enough!

Ever since I had a bike accident as a child I suffered with knee pain. There would be periods when the pain would be mild, but whenever I would do any kind of exercise the pain would come back. I heard about Verity through my sister and she has been the first person who really understood what I am going through and helped me with my knee pain. We had zoom appointments and it worked really well. She could exactly see where the problem was and thanks to her guidance and the exercises she would give me I am finally pain free! She is also a lovely person, very pleasant and always ready to answer my questions. So glad to have found her!

Excellent practitioner
I went to see Verity after two years of on-and-off right side hip pain after my second pregnancy. My GP had previously referred me to a physiotherapist but after 3 months the right-side stretches and exercises only seemed to be exacerbating the pain rather than helping and I'd stopped doing them.
Verity observed my posture and listened carefully to my descriptions of the pain, she suggested focusing on strengthening the weaker left hip. After only a couple of weeks of these exercises the pain was gone and has still not returned 18 months later. The exercises have changed the way I walk, the way I lift and carry my children and have led to a change in my posture which means I no longer over-use my right hip.
It means I can go running again, play sport and return to a more active lifestyle.
I would recommend Verity's consultancy to other people with ongoing pain or post pregnancy issues. Verity was very easy to communicate with and has a high level of expertise about anatomy and movement to draw from. I'd unreservedly recommend her.

Prior to seeing Verity I was experiencing long standing back and hip pain which has eased considerably since visiting her. Verity helped me recognise how my past injuries were affecting my posture and vice versa. The exercises recommended also helped with my breathing, resulting in me using my inhaler less. As I recently started to take an interest in Yoga Verity gave very good advice on how to practise the postures without causing any pain. She also suggested additional poses adapted to my specific injuries. Verity’s knowledge and ability to identify and correct problems is very impressive. She combined this with a kind and patient manner and I have already started to recommend her to my friends.

I thought I was experienced when it came to movement, but Verity showed me that there is always more. Not more to see, but more to feel. You basically can't engage a muscle you dont feel and I feel sorry for all those muscles in my body that I neglected my entire adult life. Verity's work is the best example that small adjustments in muscle engangement and alignment bring big change. My unspecific back pain basically vanished, my neck became soft and little by little gait is becoming more natural. Every movement that we do reflects our ability to walk and breathe properly and if we don't, well, then a lot of other thing wont work well either. We need more coaches like Verity!
