Reviews of yogahaven Clapham
S. M.
I have just completed the the yogahaven 200 hour teacher training at Clapham and can't recommend it highly enough. Allie and her team are amazing, professional with a very personal touch. There is so much to learn that it could have been quite daunting if not being taught by such inspiring teachers. Now I feel on top of the world and ready to move on to my next yoga adventure.

Love Yogahaven - great room temperature Great teachers- very thoughtful to have soap in the showers as well as hairdryers- lovely space. I visited a few heated yoga spots around the area as am new to London and yoga haven by far the best
M. L.
Great studio, wonderful instructors offering everything from beginner classes to a hardcore hot flow. Bring your own mat and towel.

Good variety of online and studio classes. My teachers provide a great mix of instruction, challenge and fun in a mindful and friendly environment. So thankful to be a member of Yogahaven Clapham!

I've practiced yoga for around a decade now. I've moved location several times, tried many other studios and always come back to yogahaven. For the price versus quality of tuition, nowhere beats it!
I've actually tried a couple of their other studios when living in different areas of london and the standard remains consistent.
The reception is warm and welcoming, and the tutors always make you feel calm and confident even when you're a little out of your depth in one of the trickier classes! There's a wide variety of styles available from meditative yin to power yoga to hot vinyasa flow.
I'm currently pregnant and absolutely love how open minded their pre-natal classes are. The instructor, Jo, manages to cater an incredibly varied class - from those who are set to pop who are looking for relaxation, mobility and birthing guidance; to those who are in the early stages of their pregnancy, such as myself, who are seeking a more dynamic class whilst practising safely in our new and ever changing bodies. How Jo manages this for 90 minutes with such positivity and enthusiasm throughout is beyond me!
I would also like to offer a shout out to Tess who has been the most inspiring tutor for me before pregnancy and during when I was still practising regular vinyasa. Her support and kindness were invaluable to me in my first trimester.
I've rambled on(!) but I must also mention Austin as I so miss his dynamic classes and "tough love" approach to yoga. I am already itching to get back to his sessions postpartum.
Thank you yogahaven for offering such an incredible platform for healing mind and body. You've saved me from many a stressful time in my life and I am very grateful.
Warmest

I’ve just completed Yogahaven teacher training which was absolutely marvellous. I have learnt so much about yoga, myself and others. Allie, Amy and Tess (our trainers) were so supportive, knowledgeable and inspirational. Teaching was especially difficult during Covid times and Allie adapted the course to be taught on both Zoom and onsite which worked extremely well.
This course has enabled me to have the confidence to progress, view things differently and teach. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to understand more about yoga, teach and enjoy a new experience. And it goes without saying the entire class learnt from each other in a safe environment whilst having tremendous fun.🙏

I’ve just completed my teacher training with Yogahaven and am literally on cloud 9 right now - the whole experience was just a dream!
I’ve been practicing with YH for a few years and finally plucked up the courage to go for the TT with them and am sooooo glad I did! The support was incredible, both from the course teachers as well as my fellow now graduated yoga teachers! I signed up to the course simply to deepen my own practice and understanding - but I got so so much more from the experience than that.... including discovering that I actually really really enjoy teaching! Allie, Amy and Tess are so knowledgeable you instantly know you’re in great hands - but they are also incredibly supportive and encouraging along the way which really gave me confidence. I could write an essay on why I loved this training so much - but rather than do that all I would say is if you’re interested, don’t wait...... you will not regret it! 🙏🏻

I've loved my two yoga sessions so far. Very welcoming staff!

I've been to hot yoga here twice and both times were great. The heat wasn't unbearable (it was like being in a sauna) and they suggest you get there a bit early to lie down and acclimatise before the session. The Hot Yoga Fusion was really good, though better for people who regularly yoga. The Hot Yoga Basics was a lovely way to relax and clear your mind after a stressful day. Both instructors were great, offering different options for difficulty and helping people with postures. The venue itself is really cool, with some funky wall art and all staff were very friendly. They have a cool store in the reception with yoga clothes and accessories, but they were a bit too rich for my blood. Definitely worth the membership if yoga is your main form of exercise, but as someone who goes to the gym regularly, I will probably stick buying a single class once a month or so.

Did the 21 day unlimited yoga introductory offer to see if I might finally be able to get into establishing a ‘practice’. Absolutely loved this place! Experienced teachers who were great practitioners, large variety of classes with different teachers having their own speciality and added wisdom, hot yoga studio worked up a sweat but wasn’t unbearable, friendly staff, beautiful facilities and exceptionally clean! Even in 2 weeks I noticed a difference in my movement and well being. Imagine what a year can do! Just try it. You won’t be disappointed.

I love yogahaven and while this year has been very strange, being able to remotely attend classes has helped me remember to take a moment in a hectic day. I was overseas with work for a few months and then quarantining on my return and it's lovely to remain connected.

I have been going to yogahaven since I moved in the UK in early 2019. Even after I tried other places, I couldn't find a better one! The team in yogahaven really takes yoga seriously and they consider it a lifestyle rather than just an exercise session.

Great Yoga Studio. I have been going here for over 8 years now and love the mix of classes, having progressed through from basics, to flow, to the great variety. I also love the dynamic Pilates which compliments the yoga helping you build your strength and tone your body.

I have been coming to yogahaven for many years. Every time I book a class I am always looking forward to it and always have a wonderful experience. All the staff, from the receptionist to the teachers are all lovely and caring. When I leave after a class I always feel calm and blessed. Thank you all!

My favourite studio in London. It provides a great variety of both hot and 'non-hot' classes. The teachers are all very experienced and friendly, and the studio/changing rooms are clean and modern. The mats provided are very good quality! Having tried many studios, I always seem to go back to yoga haven.

I'm a recent convert to Yoga, and the Hot Yoga at Clapham is the best I have been to! My intentions for practicing revolve around increasing my lung capacity and learning breathing techniques to help with some minor chest issues I experience - I have been noticing a difference in my regular practice. The studio is great, the staff are lovely and I feel that the teachers cater for my needs in the classes I have attended.
I would encourage everyone to try Hot Yoga at Yogahaven! I'm forever extolling the benefits!
K. C.
This studio is full of brilliant teachers and has the nicest atmosphere you could wish for. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. Whether you are a beginner or very experienced, young or old. I cannot recommend Yogahaven Clapham enough. A very special place.

My absolute favourite place to have a thorough yoga detox and workout. Most of the instructors are really helpful and friendly. Cannot wait to go back to my classes!

I've tried a few hot yoga studio's in Clapham. This one is by Clapham Common tube and has the best facilities in the area, with spacious change rooms and lots of showers. Super friendly staff, very very clean and most importantly, knowledgable, laid back teachers. I really like the style of hot yoga, it's varied and a great full schedule of classes.
If you live in or near Clapham and like hot yoga, I cant recommend this place enough!

After a seven months absence from Yogahaven Clapham, I was so surprised on how much I missed the staff, teachers and yoga classes. I had lots of well wishes and accumulated quite a lot of new friends. I also received a sweet email reminding me of my anniversary of 3 years.
I am so glad that I am able to come back to continue my journey of flexibility and a healthy body whilst in my twilight years!!
The welcoming staff, friendly and helpful teachers in the classes makes it hard to choose, so you just do different ones each week until you have a routine.
I'd like to say:
"A big thank you to management, staff, teachers and friends for your loving messages of strength and encouragement that you gave me whilst I was away. I could not have ask for a better yoga team to help me through my darkest days". Bless You all xx
A. W.
First time i have done hot yoga yesterday and it was brilliant. the staff were really friendly and helpful. studio ,,changing rooms and showers excellent. easy to find ,within 5 minutes of tube

I started to come to Hot Yoga in January 2013, not expecting to do more than take up the introductory offer: a year later and I'm still going four times a week, still loving it, still feeling enthused, surprised, and challenged. This is such a friendly studio, cheerful and welcoming from the front desk to the mat. Each teacher has their own subtly distinct style - while following the quickly recognisable over-arching sequence - so every class feels like an opportunity to develop different aspects of your practice; I've been so impressed at how each teacher offers individually-tailored suggestions and adjustments, showing wonderfully genuine and generous attention to every individual's practice and habits. The morning sessions set up my day, and the evening sessions kick away the accumulated stress, and weekend sessions sort out the hangovers. Brilliant studio run by lovely people.

I love yoga haven, the teachers, the front desk crew, the space and the spirit. I live miles away so not as regular as I would like to be but everyone remembers my name and makes me feel welcome. Let's open a yoga haven in the Cotswolds. ??

If you love practicing hot yoga, then this centre is the place for you. Modern and clean studio, relaxed atmosphere and great location (a few minutes walk from Clapham Common station) make this centre successfull. There is one big studio, which is heated to 35 degrees, and classes are available at every hour of the day: from classic yoga to flow, there are classes for every level. At the reception you can purchase clothes, mats, towels, water and coconut water. There is also a bowl of fresh fruit, free to grab. The service is good and everybody will make sure that after your visit to Yoga Haven you will leave feeling incredibly relaxed!

I look forward to my Saturday hot yoga classes every week. Everyone is really helpful and friendly. I tried a different hot yoga class after getting a deal on groupon, in the end I couldn't even complete the other course and switched back to yogahaven. I really enjoy the classes and the facilities are great.
D. L.
Great venue! Not only the facilities but the staff and teachers! I know when I walk through the doors, I feel as welcome now as I did on my first day!
I may not be the most flexible yogi out there, but no matter which class I turn up to, I know that my ability (and all others) is accommodated!
The teachers are knowledgeable, passionate about what they do and approachable!
6 stars!
J. J.
Absolutely love this studio, there is a great variety of classes including Pilates where you will leave feeling amazing and re-energised. The facilities are clean and the staff are professional and friendly. Well worth a visit! I can recommend highly to everyone……
K. D.
I love this place. The staff are so friendly, the teachers are passionate and keen to help and cater for all levels. The atmosphere is so much more inviting than the Bikram studios I have been to and it's great to be able to practice a range of yoga sequences in the heat. LOVE IT!
B. R.
Excellent yoga studio that knows when to push and when you let you go slower. Keeps me challenged, and hot yoga can certainly be an endurance test! Extremely friendly staff, with regular social events as well as wide range of packed classes, both hot and cold.

Things I learned from going to hot yoga at yogahaven: 1. A room heated to 40°C is pretty much my ideal temperature 2. Even your ankles can sweat 3. Being extremely warm allows you to get into stretches that you can't normally, which makes you feel like a yoga genius 4. Fleece jogging bottoms would have been a very, very bad idea for hot yoga 5. Coconut juice is the business for when you're dehydrated 6. An hour of hot yoga is equivalent to a good massage 7. You'll sleep like a baby afterwards (a really sleepy baby, not the kind that cries through the night!)... Essentially if you haven't tried hot yoga before, here's the place to give it a go. With mood lighting, pithy quotes (including one by Yoda) on the wall and friendly staff who'll make sure you get the best out of your practice.

An incredible find. Yogahaven Clapham is a modern, bright, clean, welcoming studio and the best place to get your sweat on in Clapham! With a variety of classes from hot hatha yoga to jivamukti, ashtanga and pregnancy yoga, there is a great workout waiting for literally any variety of yogi! The receptionists are always waiting with a welcoming smile and the teachers are friendly, passionate and knowledgable. Changing rooms are clean and modern (with amazing luxurious showers!) and the yoga practice rooms are well maintained.
F. M.
The handstand workshop with Ben Harrison was great, Ben gave lots of clear explanations and tips and showed useful exercises to build the necessary strength to press to handstand. I'll keep practicing what Ben taught us, hope you'll offer more handstand workshops!

Yoga is not a competition. It is a personal endeavour, a journey all of your own and you wont find a more supportive yoga studio in London. Specialising in their own brand of Hot Yoga called Leela (playful in sanskrit) this community of yogis will welcome you in what ever your ability. If you haven't tried Hot Yoga before, avoid the Flow classes initially. They are tougher but once you get used to the heat they provide a great work out and are a dynamic way to perform your practice.

love this place. super clean studios/changing rooms, loads of showers (crucial when you're in a rush to get to work after an hr spent sweating), really friendly staff and great teachers. Oh, and there's a new juice bar which is fab too - what's not to love?!

Congratulation to instructor Leon Taylor for the well planned class with clear well spoken guidance. One of the best classes I've attended in a while. Namaste

Awesome class by Karolina. She inspired us beyond to go beyond our limits with a well thought-out routine and a great choice of music to make us forget our fears.

I love yogahaven studio, class are fantastic, it always feel very welcome from the team and the facilities are very tidy and clean.

Hit and miss. If you don't fit "the profile", for example as a bigger guy, you'll get some pose expressions that aren't safe or useful, and teachers who won't adapt them. With enough visits you can work out who the more careful teachers are.
N. L.
I'm a hot yoga beginner but have tried out many studios and gyms around Clapham and Balham - this is one of my favourites!

Awesome yogis and lovely run shala.....Just wish they'd have beer in the fridge, and not paint over the master yoda quotes printed on the wall ;)
