Reviews of Yogarise Peckham - Yoga classes in Peckham Rye, London
L. S.
Yogarise studios have such a good vibe. Especially Peckham. Clean and spacious changing rooms and toilets/showers. Love the colours of the reception space and the lighting in the studio sets the tone so well.
I did a Mandala class and loved it. There was lots of variations within the class so if you are newer to yoga the class was accessible, and if you are comfortable in your yoga practice you could explore and play around with more advanced options.

I’m a fairly new member to yogarise and highly recommend it. I’ve been to a few different classes so far and I’ve enjoyed all the variation in teaching. The space is awesome. It’s comfortable and spacious. The cafe there serves lots of nice drinks and snacks too.
H. A.
My regular studio sadly closed recently so about across the road to Yogarise, Peckham. From my first class I knee I had found a delightful new home. The studio is spacious with a beautifully polished and immaculately clean wood floor to practice on. On clear mornings you can salute the sun as it beams through the wall of crittall windows. And there are tons of good quality props to use. I have now been to lots of classes: the huge range of styles and teaching approach means there is something for everyone here and all the teachers are first class. The staff are welcoming, helpful and charming. AND there is a blinding cafe and comfy seating area right there in the spacious reception. This place is well worth a visit.
A. W.
A wonderfully professional, welcoming, warm yoga studio with experienced teachers who care about their students. The studio is beautiful, light & calming. A fab little cafe has just opened up too with tasty treats. Sam is an absolute gem & his classes truly make my Wednesday's blissful <3
B. V.
Yogarise is a great space with a good range of teachers to suit your needs and desires. I persevered and found several teachers who I enjoy. Lydia Baker's classes are particularly good. She breaks down postures in a way which makes you re-engage with the practice.
J. D.
This was my first time doing yoga and everyone at Yogarise was super helpful, friendly and made me feel at ease (after feeling a little nervous)! The teacher Izzie was very relaxing and understanding of beginners and Olivia at reception was extremely welcoming and helped suggest classes me and my gf could do in the future.
The space was clean, very spacious and filled with light!!
Definitely recommend.

I have been practicing at Yogarise Peckham for many years. To me it’s one of the best studios in London. The teachers are engaging and the scheduling and classes are varied and interesting. The studio it’s self is really welcoming and friendly , a great place to start or continue your yoga journey.
L. B.
You’ll always receive a friendly, warm welcome here. The space is clean and full of light. The range of teachers caters for whatever you’re looking for, great for complete beginner or long practising yogis. I love practicing here
M. O.
I’ve not practiced yoga in a class setting for almost 3 years and have been struggling to fine a class that works for me, this particular class is a wonderful mix of everything love about Yoga. The teacher is patient, welcoming and encouraging.

I\ve beem going to Yogarise for years - maybe 7 years? I love the quality of the place and Erin is one of my favourite teachers. I haven't been in the studio since lockdown but the online offering is really convenient.
M. T.
This is a review of the Streatham studio. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great teachers. Variety of classes to suit all levels. This business deserves to do well and thank you to everyone involved.
S. G.
Amazing instructors and staff, and good selection of classes. The ambience is too good. I feel so energetic, positive, active and happy after my yoga sessions. Just love visiting here for yoga classes.
If you also love yoga and are looking for best yoga classes consider Yogarise Peckham and you will not be disappointed.

First time with this studio and was joining online. John Collins class was fantastic! Amazing accessible cues and will be back virtually :)
E. S.
Gorgeous space with the best teachers in London and friendly helpful staff go above and beyond
Don’t miss out on gong bath workshops, especially with Junior, that they facilitate, they’re out of this world, truly blissful and really reasonably priced
M. D.
another magical rocket session at this establishment. What can i say i adore this place and the teacher and more importantly the ethos. Keep up the fabulous work. Chakra Shots
B. H.
Friendly and helpful team. Really good variety of yoga. Lovely space.

This studio is outstanding, from the design, layout and people that come here and work here.
They have created a wonderfully warm vibe full of helpful staff and knowledgeable teachers, I've never had a bad class and each one is so different, there is something for everyone.
R. S.
What a fantastic place to come for yoga, reception staff are lovely. I took my first class yesterday, I’m not great at yoga and a complete novice, the space is beautiful, clean and calming. The teacher was fantastic, very well knowledged, kind and creative. The lesson plan was well thought out and the chanting was a different but pleasant experience, something Ive not tried before, overall 10/10. Rearing to go for my next class today.

I had tried Yoga a number of times before finding Toni's classes in Streatham and never really felt it was right for me. After having a baby I was craving some "me" time and some gentle exercise. Toni's class was perfect and 4 months on I seem to be enjoying it more and more. No two classes are the same and Toni has an ability to really accurately judge the room and set the pace of the class perfectly. She is very attentive and so lovely with the babies. I feel like I've had a big hug when I leave the class. I highly recommend her!
S. M.
A great studio with incredible teachers and classes. The team is so friendly. I have been going to Yogarise for two years but have more recently been attending their postnatal class on a Monday, which is the best start to the week any mum can get and has proved a meeting ground for new friends. The class is more mum focused with babies incorporated into some moves, so you get a great stretch and workout in but the babies are amused and occupied by the activity of the room. I tried the Sunday Gong Meditation class recently and slept amazingly for weeks after.
E. C.
The staff are always friendly and personable when checking in visitors for sessions. Every instructor I have met is passionate and enthusiastic about yoga and that fuels their class and everyone's experience. Overall every time I visit Yogarise I leave happier!
C.
Great space, light and airy. Staff super helpful and friendly. The instructor Lolo was calming, funny and knowledgeable. It was my first time with her and only the 2nd time I’d ever done yoga, I was so nervous going by myself but she put everyone at ease. I can’t wait to go back. £14 is a little more than I can afford for one off sessions every week but you can see why it is that price because it’s such a lovely studio, so not over priced. I will however buy a package for the classes, worth every penny. :)
F. K.
Rebecca is a real sunshine. I love her classes!
F. S.
Ive been attending classes here since they opened and I can honestly say it’s my favourite yoga studio in London. Great choice in teachers and styles, and their community classes show how much they care about the area and strive to make Yoga affordable and inclusive for everyone. Well done guys, you’re doing a great job.
A. S.
This was my first yoga class ever, I was a bit nervous cause I didn’t know what to expect or if I could substain the pace of everybody else. I was put at ease from the beginning, the environment is friendly, but professional at the same time. The class itself was great, and I felt great benefits straight away. I will definitely go back.

Wow...what a lovely, welcoming place. Been to many yoga classes across London and personally found this to have the best classes with great staff and teachers. My new favourite destination. A must for people wanting to do yoga of course but also just to meet people and enjoy something good for us all
L. W.
Overall a beautiful studio with amazing facilities but I had a poor class experience. The website says £12 for off peak as does the literal price list in the studio and I was charged the £14 rate and told that’s an old price.. That’s not how it works but OK. Liveable class but very LA and not very inspiring to someone who is quite into their practice. (Definitely not worth the price.) The teacher didn’t seem very experienced, she did not demonstrate poses or adjust people. Weird use of vinyasa in our practice having it constantly with little progress towards more interesting poses. Windows kept shut made the class unbearably warm for something not advertised as hot. Being told that “your beautiful yoga soul is working for these back bends” or something along the line having hit the third bridge in an overall uninteresting practice just made me feel gross. Was unable to find peace during this class due to the weird narrative of the teacher and then “enjoyed” shavasana with all the lights on and loud music playing. I don’t really believe that this woman knew what she was doing as someone who had practiced with many different teachers for a long time. I cannot recommend the Dynamic Flow classes if you treat yoga as what it actually is- a spiritual process to be respected, not appropriated or turned into a glitter bomb workout. Would not recommend to a friend currently.
K. R.
Love love love this studio. Particularly now with the redesign! Such a great choice of classes, early morning and late nights too. The teachers all really know their stuff, I’ve learnt a lot since I joined. The memberships are really reasonable and you’re able to use them at the Streatham and Covent Garden studios too. Bonus - free herbal tea, water and showers!
Z. P.
I absolutely adore this yoga studio – and it's become a firm favourite since I first visited earlier this year. It's a cool, quirky, colourful space that feels friendly and welcoming; I especially love the bright patterned wall on one side and the mini shop of local goodies (including a Peckham palm tree necklace!). The owners are so welcoming and you're likely to find them on the mat next to you in a class as they love yoga that much... Yogarise also has brilliant, energetic teachers (ones that can put a smile on your face even when you're struggling to hold that position) and the yoga floor is soft and cushy (good for when you're practicing headstands!). Definitely worth a visit whether you're a yogi or a yoga newbie...
E. P.
I tried 2 classes, Ashtanga and Rocket yoga. While I was highly disappointed with Ashtanga yoga class, Rocket yoga teacher got me slightly back. Even though the first class was half full, I didn't feel that the teacher paid much attention to the students. Moreover, she was speaking too quick and sometimes it was difficult to concentrate on what she was saying. Especially, when we speak about the meditative part of the class. However, the second class was much better. The teacher was amazing, and it felt that she managed to supervise every student in the room (where there were 30 people at least!). Also, she did detailed explanation of poses and demonstrated everything, so everyone could follow her.
In general, it looks like a very nice yogi community and I will give another try to this place and see how it goes. However, I do believe that it is slightly overpriced for the place and number of student in a room. I used to go to another yoga classes that were more central. The price was almost the same and there were not more than 20 people in the room that made the yoga experience absolutely beautiful.
G. M.
Been with yogarise for about a year..I tried it first with the unlimited pass for 2 weeks and did as many classes as possible to try styles and teachers. Enjoyed it so much I continued and have settled into regular classes that I love. Sometimes it's a little bit tight on space if you have a full class but overall a great space and great people. Definitely recommend.
G. Y.
Lovely looking studio with amazing atmosphere and very kind and helpful staff. They have now added showers and lockers to the studio.
M. G.
The workshop yesterday was amazing, such great energy from both Erin Prichard and Lolo Lam, raising money for Southwark Foodbank. Plus, all the Yogarise staff are welcoming and kind as always. The renovated studio looks fabulous! Thanks for a lovely afternoon guys!
M. T.
Yogarise is a great place to start your yoga practice:-) there’s a big variety of classes and levels so it’s best to try as many as you can during your 2 week intro trial and than pick the ones you enjoy the most. I’m still at the beginners level so I enjoy the slower Hatha and Yin classes as opposed to more dynamic ones like Rocket and Ashtanga, but I’m hoping to be joining those soon too. Apart from great classes and lovely teachers what I love about Yogarise the most is the way the space is arranged and decorated. The owners made sure that every detail from the colour of the radiators to the rugs in the changing rooms and paintwork in the bathroom has been thought through and carefully selected to make the space into even more welcoming and fun place. The wall dividing the studio is cleverly used to display art and you can also purchase yoga clothing and pick up leaflets for local events and businesses. Twice a week there’s a community class, and - as I recently found out - the donations go to various local charities, which I think is a great idea. Definitely recommended!
J. K.
Sabrina's community class was led with intention. The flow was created with everyone in mind, as there was always an alternative if I ever felt something was too difficult on my body. There was good balance throughout the class as not enough teachers allow for resting and conscious breathing. The singing bowl at the end topped off the class and left a great atmosphere amongst everyone in the class.
T. R.
Many classes and clean studio. Great for regular practitioners.
M. L.
I first heard about Yogarise in the literal sense as I was freelancing on the floor above. I went and gave it a try and have been going on and off for the past 5 years mostly to their community classes. They are always friendly and welcoming no matter what your level or experience is and they provide a great variety of clasees too. There is nore to yoga than a stretch and a breathe now and then. I have found going along there great for my mind, body & soul and met some wonderful people too. Whether you are looking for a place to give yoga a go, somewhere to expand & advance your practice or somewhere to get trained up a practioner then Yogarise has all that you need. Thanks Yogarisers 🙂👍🙏

Amazing yoga studio! The ashtanga class is fantastic!
C. G.
Yogarise is home from home. An incredibly welcoming spot with amazing teachers and staff! I've been going since the doors first opened and am so happy to have such a brilliant studio in Peckham!
V. S.
The Yin and Sound bath experience with Junior and Lizzie was MINDBLOWING!
V. F.
Very cool yoga studio in a trendy location. So far I’ve only experienced two different teachers at this studio but I found them to be highly experienced. The classes I’ve been to have been extremely challenging and I’ve been hungry for more!
E. A.
Yogarise is fun, friendly and uplifting. A wonderful studio nestled in Peckham Rye's Bussey Building. The reception team know your name and ask what you've been up to if you miss a class! The changing rooms are small but there are cubby holes in the main space to keep your valuables safe. In the chill out area there are big, squishy bean bags or benches with a big thermos of warming yogi tea that is free for all yogis :) There's also funky artwork and yoga clothes from companies like Yoga Will Save the World to buy. The yoga space is big, the speakers (if you practice to music) are great and the floor is soft so it's a great place to try scary postures - although it makes standing balances a real challenge! Love it here.
V. L.
Excellent choice of yoga, pilates etc. in a friendly & professional environment.
d. h.
I love this studio, never had a dud class. Every teacher is so different. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. There is always such a lovely vibe, could not recommend it enough.
R. N.
I just love Emma Peel's yinyang class at Yogarise with its dragon dancing and exploration of the body and spirit. Also Mollie McClelland Morris' beautiful intuitive movement inspired teaching. I'm constantly finding moments of bliss, plus working out bits of my body I didn't even know were there!
S. J.
Yogarise I love you. Best studio in London - you are akin to church! One of few things I’ll gladly rise at 4.30am for to come from out of town especially. Perfection. Thanks for doing you.
C. D. V.
I love the Yogarise studio, everything from the space, friendly staff and amazing teachers. Highly recommend

I took a Jivamukti class with Élodie. It was a lovely flow with intelligent sequencing. I enjoyed the meditation and chanting at the beginning of class. A great experience. I will be back the next time I visit London!
P. C.
Easy to follow instructions and a great atmosphere. It was my first ever yoga session, and although it was difficult, I felt supported and not at all self conscious.
J. C.

My favourite yoga studio in London- the best teachers, loads of variety in class types, a big light studio in a super cool setting. Can’t beat Yogarise!!
J. K.
Nice big space, very friendly staff including the yoga instructor who took time to point out obvious mistakes despite the fact that she was busy with a big class and walked to the door to say goodbye to each class member as he/she departed, good session, which left me feeling well-exercised, energised, but not exhausted.
M. B.
Great message in today’s lesson. Very attentive teacher.
R. M.
I love Yogarise. It has great vibes and a selection of great teachers with something for everyone. It’s a genuinely friendly, inclusive space. I literally go as often as I can. ✌️✨

Lovely space, great to feel normal again, and the Reception staff were very nice about my utterly failing to read the instructions (sorry) and forgetting to bring my own mat.
S. V.
Yogarise is a welcoming and peaceful space full of good energy and supportive members. It is my safe place for self nourishment.
S. W.
I’ve been with Yogarise since it first opened its doors and it is my yoga home so to speak. I love the staff and teachers and feel blessed to have this gem at my doorstep. Thank you for everything. Sarah
C.
Congratulations on being resourceful enough to open your own business, plowing in thousands of £ of your own savings to do so. Also it's great you're doing some classes where people can just pay what they can afford so everyone can benefit. I wish you luck and success.
T. H.
A beautiful, welcoming space born and bred from South East London. Offering comparitively low prices and some classes that work purely on a 'donate what you can' basis, with all proceeds going to charities and projects in the local area.
