Reviews of Yoga Spirit & Strength
Over the winter I spent a few months attending Sam's Thursday night classes - Men's Yoga for Sport. Unfortunately due to a change in work commitments, it hasn't been possible to continue. I will however start attending again as soon as I can.
The quality of Sam's teaching went way beyond what I was expecting when I started (as a beginner). She explains everything clearly and demonstrates all the moves perfectly, making it easy to follow along - even for someone as impatient and clumsy as me.
One of the best things about Sam's teaching is that, when needed, she gives attention and advice to each and every student rather than just demonstrating the moves and leaving us to it. This really helped me to get the very most out of the various stretches and poses.. You can see and almost feel the passion she has for Yoga just from talking to her, and her classes certainly reflect this!
The benefits of yoga cannot be overstated and the difference I felt in my flexibility, posture and mental well-being whilst attending the classes compared to not attending is immense. I can't wait to go back one day!
In short, Sam's classes are EXCELLENT! - especially if you're like me and want to give Yoga a go but are a little nervous. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
After almost ten years of attending Sam’s classes, I have never failed to be impressed by the constant commitment, integrity and enthusiasm she brings to her practice. This is yoga taught from the heart.
Sam’s classes are very carefully sequenced to cater for all abilities, providing expert guidance for the beginner as well as challenging the more experienced class member. Sam provides the whole yoga experience including breathing, meditation and relaxation alongside the physical practice. I feel I have benefitted immensely from attending her classes. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
I joined Sam's class nearly four years ago as a complete novice, and have really enjoyed her classes which have recently moved very successfully on line. She is kind and considerate, explaining the more complex 'moves' simply, and this seen my yoga practice develop. She makes the classes fun and beneficial and I can not recommend her sessions highly enough. Give it a go you won't regret it
I joined Sam’s classes a little over two years ago as a complete novice and I have certainly benefitted in strength and flexibility during this time. I am not exactly in the first flush of youth, so keeping physically fit, strong and maintaining good balance is very important to me. Sam is a very good teacher, ensuring that we all work at our own levels of capability and seeks to develop relaxation and meditation through the physical practice which makes each session so very beneficial on all levels.
I have been attending Sam's classes for over for 4 years now; so both In-person and this last year online. I was brand new to Yoga and found Sam to be an excellent teacher and communicator. Her range of classes mean there is one suitable for all ages and abilities.
I joined Sam's class just over a year ago as a complete beginner, and I would not want to give it up now. Sam is an excellent teacher, really patient, and explaining things very well. Although I do prefer the sessions in person, the move to online lessons has been very successful, and it helps us all to feel connected. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sams class.
I really enjoy Sam's classes, her directions are clear and concise with a focus on technique which has really helped me to develop my practice in a physically safe way, whilst maximising the benefits of the postures. The classes are relaxed, welcoming and always have different options to suit different people's levels. If you want to gain strength, flexibility and improve - then Sam has the class for you!
Having spent around 9 years practicing under Sam's instruction I would thoroughly recommend her. Sam is able to tailor her lessons to accommodate any requirements of her pupils, her depth of knowledge and passion for the discipline are clear. I started as a complete novice, and in my experience Sam has been wonderful in adapting and challenging as needed. I would urge you to give it a try!
I cannot recommend Sam's classes highly enough. Firstly she is such a lovely positive lady that lifts your spirits. But she is a superb teacher. She leads you slowly step by step to do moves you never thought possible. I have been coming for around 15 years and my body is transformed and I am a calmer more peaceful spirit too. Just love it.
Sam has been teaching me yoga for at least 7 years. Her classes are varied and she ensures that all instructions are clear whilst also allowing for adaptations to the positions to suit everyone. There is always a warm up and mediation at the end of class too as part of a holistic approach.
