I attended Gemma's Restorative Yoga session on Friday at the Yoga Shed in Wickham. It was lovely and warm in the space which made it very relaxing from the start. I always find Restorative Yoga with Gemma to be just what I need - you always feel in safe hands and she has an incredibly calming voice which is particularly effective in the meditation at the end. My whole body felt soft and open afterwards and all my little stiff niggles seem to have melted away. I particularly enjoyed having her pressing down on my back with her hands in child's pose and standing on the underside of my feet when laying on my stomach - both with my permission. Thank you so much Gemma. Your yoga sessions are just wonderful.

I’ve started back at yoga again with Gemma on a Monday morning. Her knowledge of the human body, describing what our organs do, how they work together, helps your understanding of how the yoga poses help your body. I find her classes very therapeutic, helping through the breathing exercises to unscramble and calm the mind. A wonderful way to spend an hour. Thank you Gemma

These classes always bring more relaxation and grounding than I had realised was possible. I have felt more rested than I have done in entire night ‘sleeps’ before! Gemma creates a professional yet friendly environment which is full of nurture so it is entirely possible to switch off and unwind. I honestly, cannot recommend her restorative classes enough

I practised yoga with Gemma online throughout my pregnancy. I absolutely loved her classes, which have a beautiful gentle tone and feel and allowed me to take an hour a week to connect with my baby and prepare for the birth. It was wonderful to be able to continue yoga during lockdown.
Gemma is a lovely, warm, skilful teacher, whose fantastic understanding of the human body and deep knowledge of yoga is clear throughout her classes. I cannot recommend her classes highly enough!

Gemma’s restorative yoga classes are an absolute treat. We had a lovely, slow practice with props and modifications for every occasion. Gemma ended the class with a guided meditation and nobody really wanted to leave at the end. Best way to spend a Friday evening (in my opinion!).

I have been attending Gemma’s classes for many years and just love her teaching style. I’m a real fan of her vinyasa yoga classes. There is usually a theme to each class and we concentrate on different parts of the body, so every class is different and keeps your interest. Her restorative classes are so calming and relaxing especially if you need to slow down. I’m sure it does wonders for my high blood pressure! Practicing yoga with Gemma is an absolute joy and i have no hesitation in recommending her.

I did Gemma’s wonderful pregnancy yoga classes. I can’t stress enough how fab they were! Really beautifully sequenced gentle classes specifically for pregnancy. You can tell how much preparation Gemma does for each class as they were all so different and focused on different areas of need. In fact I really miss them now I’ve had my baby! She had lots of helpful advice for when was safe to start practicing pregnancy yoga, how to do different asanas based on any specific pregnancy problems and lots of helpful breath work for labour. Highly recommend.

I started yoga with Gemma online with pregnancy yoga and recently moved on to the Mum and Baby yoga face to face. Gemma is really friendly, puts you at ease and really understands pregnancy gripes, being flexible to mix up the sessions to help with any individual strains and pains. Highly recommend!

I have been attending Gemma’s Restorative Yoga classes online and in person (before the pandemic started). Held monthly, on a Friday evening, the class is a perfect end to my busy working week. It’s a chance to concentrate on ‘me’ and to relax my mind and body. Gemma’s guidance is perfect, she explains the yoga positions in a soft, gentle manner that lulls you into a state of relaxed awareness. I look forward to the event and thoroughly recommend anyone to try out a session. You don’t have to have yoga knowledge to do it. If you give it a try you will be hooked!

I practice yoga a lot and have only done a couple of classes with Gemma but they have really stood out to me. One class focused on hips and I finished feeling like I’d had a good workout and but so relaxed too. It was more than your average flow class. At the time I didn’t realise how hard I was working and afterwards I felt great. I’m looking forward to more classes with Gemma.

I followed a fertility Yoga programme online during lockdown. It was a wonderful experience with gentle movement and calming restorative rest at the end (my favourite part). Gemma is so understanding of the fertility journey, the struggles and the rollercoaster of emotions. The sense of care and community was overwhelming. I would highly recommend Gemma to anyone in need of some self care or just because you fancy something new.

Gemma's restorative classes are AMAZING! I've been doing her online restoratives during lockdown and it's been just the tonic I needed through such stressful, uncertain times. Gemma is warm and welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable, you feel in very safe hands.

I can’t believe the the time has gone so fast but I used to practice vinyasa flow with Gemma at the yoga shed in Wickham which was very enjoyable, we had a small group and she would always take the time to ensure we had the correct positioning and adjustments would be made according to our individual needs at the time. Some exercises and moves were challenging but with Gemma’s guidance we’re achievable. We all surprised ourselves at times. Gemma has a calming voice and has great belief, patience and positivity in her teachings. Even after a vigorous class I feel released and refreshed and glad I made the effort to attend

Gemma was great providing instructions for guided restorative yoga poses; I was so relaxed after the session and had a restful sleep afterwards.

I’ve been doing weekly pregnancy yoga since the beginning of my 2nd trimester. I’m now 34 weeks pregnant and the classes have helped me cope with anxiety and pelvic girdle pain along the way. Gemma is always kind and welcoming and gives clear instructions about adapting poses to suit individual needs. Even though we’ve had to do classes over zoom due to Covid, it’s been great to have the connection with other people going through the same thing!

Myself and my partner (possibly the least bendy person on the planet) have always really enjoyed Gemma’s restorative yoga sessions. They are relaxed and perfect for reducing stress at the end of the week. I thoroughly recommend it.

Gemma's classes are all so enjoyable whatever area she is focusing on. I have done Vinyasa flow classes and come out feeling so much better than when I started each time. Thank you!
