I recently attended Joe’s ‘Super Full Moon Sound Bath Meditation’ session and have nothing but praise!
I went into the practice with no idea what to expect and came away from it feeling so much more connected to myself and the world around me. For myself it felt almost like an outer body experience but I know from chatting to everyone else after that we all had different experiences during the session. I would highly recommend attending a class! Give yourself the opportunity to relax in a calm and safe environment with fellow like-minded people for an evening. I can guarantee you will not look back!

Joe was very welcoming and easy to feel relaxed and safe with. Her approach to my first treatment with her was deeply thorough and highly professional. She clearly sought to discover what I wanted and didn’t want from a therapeutic massage for entrenched back pain of 2 weeks duration.
Joe’s dedicated private studio is a warm, peaceful, intimate space, surprisingly very protected from the ongoing busyness of Holgate Road.
Joe delivers value for money and is very generous with her time. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured: I arrived at 15.00 and left approximately at 16.45.
I have had many many therapeutic massages of different types over the years and I give her and her studio environment the highest of ratings. Two days post treatment and I am most relieved to be pain free.
I definitely recommend Joe and her studio environment.

I attended Joe’s January Lunar meditation and Nidra experience online and would highly recommend this to everyone. Joe’s communication in advance was very clear in terms of what to expect and how to prepare and the whole session was a peaceful and blissful journey which allowed me to fully relax guided by Joe’s thoughtful words and sound integration. This was much needed at a time of pain and stress. Afterwards Joe sent a great detailed follow up on how to continue embracing some of the invitations covered in the mediation and Nidra, with links to useful resources and how to take some time for self care in my own time. I attended Joe's "Inner Calm" session on a Friday evening - the perfect way to wind down after a long work week. I love the way Joe blends her expertise, incorporating Somatics as well as Yoga Nidra. She is incredibly professional, having taken everyone's needs into account, with the result being that I felt soothed, calm and safe - even via Zoom. Deep relaxation is so underrated - I think everyone should try it.

I have experienced an Inner Calm session including Yoga Nidra with Joe. I thought I was so wound up and tense by an agitated day that I might not actually be able to relax. After one hour, I felt transformed - my muscles had released months of tension and I felt like I had had a massage even though all I thought I was doing was lying on the floor. Inner calm was the correct name for this session. I was very pleasantly surprised and will be booking again.

I attended Joanne's Zoom Inner Calm relaxation session during the pandemic, and it was amazing. I have suffered from chronic insomnia for the past 7 months, often going without sleep for days or getting at most 1 hour of sleep a night. After the 1-hour session with Joanne, I had a relaxing evening at home, and then slept a full 6 hours without the aid of medications. This hadn't happened in 7 months and I was so relieved I cried the next day.
I especially enjoyed Joanne's lovely calming voice, and the privacy afforded by the fact that everyone's cameras and microphones (except Joanne's) were turned off, so I could veer off-course if I felt like it without dreaded fear of judgment!
I highly recommend these sessions to anyone with sleep disorders or having difficulty getting a good night's sleep.

I had 3 sound healing sessions with Joe. Each one was unique and all were deeply nourishing to receive and to experience. I felt supported and held by the sounds - able to surrender and bask within the vibrations and let them take me on a journey. Layers of healing and revelation emerged through that letting go process. Fabulous experiences with Joe - I have been going to see her over the past few of years for relaxation and pain relief massages, along with advice on how to prevent further pain.
Joe has also been helping me with stretching and yoga techniques which I can take home to prevent further problems. She also teaches Yoga.
The attic, where the treatments take place, is also great - comfortable, homely and you feel well away from life. Its like an escape. And the incense smells incredible.
Joe has many different techniques and methods she can treat you with - beginning with finding out how you want your treatment.
On arrival, Joe also gets caught up with how you are - work, movement, pain, stresses, how much you are walking, diet etc - which helps her tailor the treatment and any suggestions she has.
Finally, Joe has incredible knowledge about the body, how and what affects it in different ways.
Highly recommend.

I recently invested in a 1:1 yoga session with Joe, specifically to help me to set up regular home practice. This was most definitely worth every penny. I now wake up looking forward to getting my mat out. My only problem is in limiting myself to a reasonable amount of time. I have really noticed the benefits of more regular practice, both physically and mentally. Yoga with Joe is always a voyage of exploration and discovery and it's a delight to have been empowered to carry this on independently between weekly classes.

I recently attended the Sanctuary at Calm works, it was amazing! Highly recommend! ***** five star rating! We started Friday evening and finished Saturday lunchtime. We did a fabulous mix of Yoga, mindfulness and relaxation. As Joe lead mindfulness I drifted in and out of light sleep, as my body melted into the yoga mat. Totally relaxed in mind and body.
I slept very well after the first session. The session really helped me with my, sometimes over active mind! We spent time in the 'now', in the moment, in fullness. Not in the past or future, it was really great. Refreshments were available throughout. We had a task which took me outside, into the fresh air. The weather and surroundings were great! Very calming, I enjoyed kicking up the colourful autumn leaves and hearing them crunch under my feet.
I loved every minute of the sanctuary. Helped me to reboot! We had wholesome soup and bread for lunch on the Saturday which was really tasty. Left feeling refreshed and renewed. I Can not wait till the next one! thanks Joe! x

Joe's a fantastic yoga teacher with a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, and she adds her own personal dose of humour and playfulness to each of the classes. Scaravelli-inspired yoga itself is an excellent practice for bringing focus to the breath and gently centering ourselves to help let go of the tension and stress we can hold in our bodies. Joe offers personalised, supportive and deeply nourishing sessions for small groups in an intimate and cosy setting. Highly recommended!

One to one Soundbath. Amazing experience!
This was my first time having a soundbath and it came at a time when my energy and emotional levels were quite low. Joe tailored the sounds and chanted mantras to fit my personal needs, and they certainly delivered. The sounds and their vibrations felt deep and comforting. I left each session feeling happy, soothed and nourished. I would definitely make time for sessions in the future.

The good news is that I have now established a daily meditation and yoga stretch practice, that has been eluding me for a long time. Great to be able to come home to this stability regularly, and a real comfort. I find I can turn up for the practice, but the ability to keep the mind returning to stillness isn't the easiest right now.
