The way Janet teaches is simply superb. I have found MI Pilates very useful in building core strength and sorting out my back pain. But the technique is only as good as the instructor and how they are able to help you understand the movements and how to motivate. Janet is a great inspiring teacher and I can highly recommend her classes.

I've been joining Janet for her online classes for the past few weeks and have loved every moment! Janet has transformed the format of online classes with her dynamic, personal approach and every time I have felt that I was guided through the movements and able to continue my day with a spring in my step. Having attended classes at MI Pilates Studio for the past 2 years, can thoroughly recommend the fantastic teaching and expert Pilates knowledge passed on to clients and students. My posture and flexibility have greatly improved which has also aided recovery from a lower back injury (like so many others, being my reason for practising Pilates). The classes are like no other I've attended and have started to include Reformer Pilates classes which are fantastic - love them! Whilst Reformer can be challenging I can absolutely see a difference in muscle tone and feel 10 feet tall upon leaving! Thank you to all at the Studio, especially Janet, can't praise you highly enough!! x

I try to get to a class each week to help keep me mobile as I spend so much time either driving or in front of a computer. The exercises are tailored to the needs of each class and it is very safe exercise as Janet adapts exercises to account for individual needs such as bad backs, shoulders or knees. I would recommend Mi Pilates to anyone looking to keep mobile or return to mobility after illness.

Janet is a fantastic teacher. I started reformer Pilates with her only 3 months ago and have seen huge benefits. Firstly, as a runner I am much stronger and my times have improved (for both 5 and 10k). I am also running longer distances (most recently half marathon distance) and best of all I am in control of the niggles and injuries I have had in the past. Secondly having spent months in physio last year with different issues with little success resolving them these have all but gone. Her classes are fantastic and small so you get attention throughout. She provides great detail both for those new to Pilates and those with more experience. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Since starting Janets Mat and Reformer sessions at MI Pilates, I can say, with all honesty, that I have never enjoyed Pilates so much. As an instructor myself since 2010 and more recently certified with Balanced Body under Janets training, I find her teaching methods and wealth of information invaluable. The studio is very well equipped, she is very generous with her knowledge and as such, not only am I physically so much stronger but my own classes have benefited enormously. Janet is an awesome instructor--she makes you feel at ease, she's very knowledgeable, and she definitely challenges you at every workout. I've been going to Janet's Pilates classes for a number of years and every class is different. She listens to the class & changes the routine if someone has a particular problem. She pushes us to achieve movement we didn't think was possible. I always feel great when I finish the class. Can't recommend her enough!!!

I take Janet's mat class with equipment and have done for several years. I am not her best student as I always intend to do some work at home, but never get around to it! In the time I have been going to MI Pilates I have seen my posture improve - which was my most important goal, now I am in my early 50s I didn't want to grow a stoop - my upper strength has improved massively, as has my balance and my flexibility. I can roll around on the floor like a two year old, and still get up without groaning! I would highly recommend MI Pilates to get you moving smoothly and freely, you can start at any age, it's never too late to right some of the wrongs in your body caused by our daily lives, as I admit, I only do a class once a week, but I walk tall and freely. Janet is very informative and will help with any bodily queries and ailments, or if you're just like me, trying to hold back the ravishes of time to your body! Give it a go.

Janet's classes have been the best thing I do to keep my body moving the way I would like. If you think Pilates is easy, or not for men, you are wrong. You will be challenged in every class. If it's good enough for American football teams it can help you. Give it a go, you won't look back... Or maybe you will but with a less stiff spine and better posture!

Pilates is not just an exercise class it also helps condition our bodies to deal with everyday strains through incorrect posture and constant sitting at desks. It also helps better performance in sports by teaching us how to listen and use our bodies better.
Give the classes a go! I did 1 year ago and have never looked back! I have a stronger more toned body and it has really helped with back pain.

Janet Wood is a fantastic teacher. Just took her class, For Foot Sake, to learn all about the foot... biomechanics, anatomy, stretching and care. Great half day course! Loads of interesting information, stretches, tips and a really great goodie bag. Definitely recommend!

ried out Janet & Karen's Somatic classes and discovered a whole new body underneath my stressed out one. Can't believe how one class can make my body feel longer, limber and lighter.
