Charlie's is very festive at the moment. As you go in there is a very large talking reindeer, quite funny. There is something for everyone including plants and Xmas trees if they have them yet. It's a lovely place to visit and shop.

Charlie's Stores at the Parc y Llyn Retail Park, Aberystwyth (behind Morrisons) is a vast store selling a wide range of hardware items, outdoor clothing, kitchenware and garden plants and accessories. There is very good customer service and it is well worth a visit.

You can't step across the threshold of Charlie's unless you buy something and they do have the monopoly for their particular products in the area and sometimes overpriced because of that, however, I have managed a few bargains over the years; take a look at my Glastonbury truck for £39:99 as below

I've only given four stars because this is there Large store,but it doesn't seem to have as much choice as the smaller one in town,I wanted curtain hooks but they didn't have any,so I went to there smaller shop in town and surprise they had them in,also staff were more friendly and helpful.

We remember Charlie's stores (Cheap Charlies) from our student days. Whislt the original is still there it has spawned a monster!!! :-D amazing place that sells everything. Could (and did) spend hours looking round here. Some.of the clothing is not that cheap, but the range of everything is amazing. A proper county store.

Always worth a look around Charlie's. They have great sales but also cheaper ranges than a lot of other shops. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We buy a lot of things from here my favourite is the garden section. Have had some good sale plants that have lasted well. And some really cheap perennial plants to. All round good place for all sorts of clothing kitchen and tools. Garden and home. Been in today found some beautiful primrose for just over 4 pound. These are lke a compact flower with a ruffle. Got some for my mom to as they have a good range of colours

I have had this text before - only a few days ago! Charlie's Stores in Aberystwyth is great. And its staff are cheerfully helpful. Is it an idea fir you to take me off your list?

Great store that sells all kinds of handy things from ride on lawnmowers to Lego, there's wool, jam and a cooking isle, pet area and clothes. If you're a horse rider you can get everything from jodhpurs to salt licks. Tools for the diy-er, in fact if you need it theres a high chance they have it. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is good free parking outside.

First time going to the shops since the start of lockdown - must say it wasn't as bad as I thought.. Security at the front to ensure you can enter individually and 2m apart. It was weird to walk around the shop and try to shop like before, but majority of the people were patient and kept to their 2m rule. There were a odd few people feel like they need to rush in and out but overall experience was good. There were a queue system in place and monitor by staff to ensure customers are 2m apart. Cashiers have plastic wall between them and the customers to ensure they feel safe and protected.

Awesome shopping experience something for everyone. Keep the Mrs happy whilst looking at tools or bits for the car. I manged to loose her for a good half hour and just sat at the back of the store in the motoring section for a well deserved break. Visit Trust me guys you will see.

Charlie's stores is the place to go for a multitude of things, and at very competitive prices, many things like giant boxes of washing powder you are unlikely to find elsewhere you'll find at this store. Their range of tools, gardening supplies and machinery is second to none in the area, as is the range of home wares, and DIY supplies, throw in clothing and footwear, items of furniture, and plants for the garden, and a whole lot more makes it our must visit shop everytime we are in Aber.

Charlie's is a local legend in Newtown & Welshpool, but they were brave enough to take over the old B&Q building in Aberystwyth. It is a mix of a DIY shed e.g. Homebase from the past, and a country store where you can buy boots & outdoor gear. Staff are well trained and the homeware range is good and well priced.
