Staff have always pleasant and professional but didn't enjoy my recent visit when at the changing room in which all the cubicles were empty, I was taken by shop assistant to a cubicle which had a corner wall jutting out into it making it considerably smaller than the others. 😨 Bought a beautiful dress but due to this assistant's service considered looking for and ordering on line.

I think a lot of the oringal staff members who first worked there, have now left and the newer staff members aren't as good, sorry. But still a nice store and its alot better than alot of other stores in Cardiff. Its John Lewis!

S. “.Lovely store with wonderful cafe and food! However, was looking at purchasing some earphones and there wasn't a member of staff around who walked up to me and asked if I needed any assistance. There was a member of staff stood by the TVs and I had to find someone to help me and when I did, the woman wasn't very helpful and instead someone else offered to help. The member of staff who did help me was quite helpful but that being said, I don't know if its best practice to have to find a member of staff - I think they should be a bit more perceptive of buyers needs and wishes. I did buy some earphones and as I said, the member of staff was quite helpful but by that, I had been waiting nearly 20 minutes.

I like how one store has a large range inside with usually members of staff having adequate knowledge in each of their own departments. Today I stood waiting while staff ignored me while looking me up and down before walking away. I don’t think I will be shopping at John Lewis again I feel recently the customer service has changed quite shockingly
o. m.I was here to get some perfumes and pretty much clueless on that side as well .. but Linda was patient enough to help me out .. she knows the stuff there and got me possibly the best deals on the price range I wanted .. Ask for her and you will be glad you did ..

J. H.I ordered a fridge on line . I had a couple of problems because I had to change the date of the delivery as something happened and I was not available at the original time arranged. The young man in customer services was extremely helpful and arranged this. The delivery men arrived on time. Were very helpful. I expected I would have to fit the fridge myself because the plug is in a different cupboard and the plug had to be taken off and the wire threaded through to the next cupboard but the delivery men had a drill ,enlarged the hole and fitted the plug through and had to move part of the plinth to fit the slightly wider fridge. They were helpful and cheerful all through the delivery. It is great to see this can do attitude it is so often missing these days. Thank you.

A. B.I was recently visiting the Dyson store within John Lewis, in the market for a new Vacuum and left with a Dyson cordless V8. The assistant Matt was incredibly helpful. He provided demonstrations of the product as was as showing his vast knowledge and quite obvious enthusiasm for the Dyson products. This combined with his polite and joyful attitude made the experience very pleasant and I am completely satisfied with my product choice and my customer service.

D. T.First 'instore' visit for 18 months, as ever all staff were excellent and store felt very safe.
Major problems with 'The Place To Eat' however, table service was woeful, order turned up with wrong items, cold espresso, missing cutlery, and no sugar.
Wholly unacceptable by JL standards, we were asked if everything was ok when paying, pointed out errors but no offer of reduction in bill.
Will have to give the service a miss until COVID is finally behind us.
C.High level of staff customer care. Wife and me enjoyed our visit today to get deep fitted sheet and pillowcases. Assistant asked if we needed help which we did! She made sure we got the right bedding, we would have got the wrong size sheet so we were grateful for her help.

E. M.Wow, is all I can really say! I came up to Cardiff for a holiday and had booked for my eyebrows to be waxed and tinted at Benefit inside John Lewis on the day I arrived. Just before my appointment I realised I had left my make up at home, 4 hours away! Argh!
I came to my brow appointment stressed and angry however Alannah was the calming force I needed. She was ever so friendly and caring, making me feel right at home. After Alannah worked her magic my brows looked stunning, definitely the best they have looked in a long time.
Alannah then offered to help me find all the products I needed to replace the make up I had left at home. She helped me go through it all and ensure I had everything I needed.
This situation could have been a really bad experience but having Alannah there made everything a lot nicer.
This is the BEST experience I have had with a Benefit staff member and next time I am in Cardiff I will be definitely booking an appointment with Alannah again! Thank you, you life saving brow wizard!!

The cafe is really lovely and is glass on both sides so you get a nice view of Cardiff city centre whilst sipping your tea and eating some nice cake. M.We like to go here for coffee with our baby as it's nice and cosy, a lot of space and tidy baby changing area. Service is always at standard and staff very polite and helpful. Bought stuff online and in store and always very good experience. The only thing frustrating are the lifts as it takes a long time to catch one and with the baby prefer not to take the escalator.
H. B.Wow, the cleaning staff in their cafe are on the ball! I swear I blinked and the table was cleared. The food was tasty and the children's menu was varied.
There was a couple of gluten free options available and the vegetarian curry looked really tasty.
The store itself is nicely set out, walkways are wide and easy to get around with wheelchairs and pushchairs. Well lit and not that glaring white light that hurts the eyes.
The levels ate clearly marked by the escalater.
A. N.Nice modern airy store with close proximity to the city centre. The car park is underground so can be a bit humid and uncomfortable during warm weather, but it's easy enough to get the lift straight to the store. There is a restaurant on the top floor and a cafe on the first floor which are both worth a visit.
A. O.I am a bloke so the shop is just somewhere you can go and the wife can spend lots of money. But I have to say the staff are very helpful. I recently went to by a Dyson hair dryer, couldn't get a particular colour for my wife, but the staff went above and beyond to help. Very satisfied.

He was great in suggesting a model to suit my needs (cordless to get all those crumbs under the car seats!) P. M.Lovely store with a great cafe. It's right in the centre of the St David's Centre and is a large store. The electronics department and houseware are particularly good. One great attraction is the two year warranty for electronics.
If you get a John Lewis card you get occasional treats in the cafe of course.
S. R.Lovely store! When visiting at Christmas especially, the attention to detail in decorations and layout is brilliant. You may pay a tad extra than you would online however for the John Lewis experience I personally think it is worth it.

L. B.Such friendly and professional service on 23rd October, from the sales advisor on homeware/curtains/artwork dept in Cardiff. Sadly I didn't ask his name, but he went above and beyond by helping my husband and me to choose a picture frame and to locate a print that we wanted to buy. Despite the impending gloom of the store closing that day for lockdown, he still brightened up our day with his cheerfulness. Also, served by Ruben, for christmas decoration purchases, and again, what a friendly and helpful man: John Lewis, your staff are just exemplary.
s. s.I use this store for most purchases after using their online service at Xmas to order all my shopping. I ordered all my presents in one go and clicked buy at 6.45pm, everything was delivered the next morning before 10.00am to the recipients of gifts. I was so pleased that i avoided busy shops and my last minute gifts were delivered beautifully packed and boxed. This shop is amazing and i love that they profit share with staff.

The store is large and set over four levels with its main entrance from St David’s 2. The store is very accessible with underground parking and lifts to all levels.

Visit the store, at the far end of 'St. David's two' shopping centre in Cardiff, to browse the merchandise aisles - or order on-line, using their easy click-and-collect option. Either way, the friendly and knowledgeable staff will make your shopping experience a relaxed and memorable one.

A.Lovely and posh. I like to come here and pretend that I can afford things. The only thing that I've bought here is my record player, and the needle was broken. It was easy to return though. They replaced it for me at no extra cost. The restaurant bits are cool too, because you can gaze wistfully out the windows onto the Cardiff crowds. Lovely

S. H.We visited the Cardiff John Lewis store and were delighted by the customer service from David who helped us with a dyson air wrap and the again with a Lavazza coffee machine. We were staying overnight at a local hotel and he offered to help us with our shopping as we had done quite a bit of heavy xmas shopping / what a lovely gesture above and beyond thank you you are a credit to the store they are lucky to have you x

Prices are competitive if not the best in the marketplace - especially if you get a 5 year warranty included in purchase. Didn't realise John Lewis were still in retail shopping in a big way. They are also big on the Internet and you can shop and collect in store. Convenient street level pick up location for large items.

I used this service, for the first time ever, in Cardiff John Lewis this week and met the delightful Sarah Jane. She put me at ease instantly,listened to what I wanted, chose lots of great options and talked me through what looked good on me (& why). No heavy sell or pressure to buy- and all with professional service and a smile. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Well done John Lewis.

J. S.I went to Cardiff store today to buy a pen as a leaving gift for a work colleague. I received the usual high standard of service from the sales assistant whilst buying the pen and asked if it could be gift wrapped so was pointed in the direction of customer services. There was no assistant at the gift wrapping counter but someone appeared and asked if they could help; I asked to have the pen wrapped and was told I would have to wait 30 minutes before someone could help. I asked why so long to wrap such a small item and was told people had phoned in sick and all the other people sitting at the desks around were doing compliance checks. I had to leave the store as I needed to return to work. The very poor service from "the customer service" staff spoiled the buying experience - my 20 year old son who buys everything on the net and was with me commented "and this is the good service you told me about! you have driven into the city centre, paid to park and can't get your gift wrapped, you should have bought it on the net!!" I would expect better than this from John Lewis. Why was everybody doing the compliance test at the same time or was it just a case of couldn't be bothered so fobbed me off with a long wait ??

B. F.Wow Cardiff JL..... I came in to buy some sunglasses and what help we had from Lex the assistant. It was really busy at the time but she was able to share her time between us all. Lex is so knowledgable, polite and patient she’s a real asset to JL. It’s not often you find someone who has all the time in the world for you. If anyone is buying sunglasses I would recommend JL as there is a big choice and Lex will talk you through what the difference lenses are for. Thanks Lex!

Cold scone don't taste as good as heated up ones & 1 minute in the microwave does not heat it up enough.

a. m.I love this place I always make it one of my stops when I go to Cardiff there is something for all my rooms if it's not my kitchen is the living Room etc. From Wall paper to a pen, (they have it) the staff are helpful and friendly, it also has a good restaurant where you can have a good filling meal and the menu has something for everyone. If you can't find it just ask!

B. M. -. S.Like any other John Lewis store it has everything you can think of in a big store. It has the same uniform look, fresh and modern. If one slight thing would be more signs to help with directions.
J. H.Visited the Estee Lauder counter and the lady with shoulder length red hair served me. Her customer service is out of this world. She showed me lots of make up tricks, tested lots of products on my skin and created a wish list on the system for me so when I pop in next all my favourite products will be there. I've been to all the Estee lauder counters in Cardiff and will only shop on John Lewis now because of her.
R. T.Generally very good, however in the post Christmas sale it can look a bit like a jumble sale rather than the neat, organised, place it normally is. The staff are still superb though!

F. T. J.Ordered a washing machine rom the Cardiff store and deliver was arranged and 4 days later the washing machine was delivered but disaster struck when the fitter tred to disconnect my old washer and could not.
a plumber arrived the following day and disconnected it in 5/6 minutes no problem
Just rung the Cardiff store and I got John Lewis call centre who told me you cant speak to the store but he will try to help, asked could they deliver my washing machine again as the old machine has now been disconnected. I am told that I cant have the machine now until 3rd July, I said but it is only the 21st June and thats nearly two weeks away. Sorry no can do..... John Lewis have refunded me the £338 I paid so my business is now going to Howells Cardiff( House of Fraser) who can deliver next Wednesday morning and for the same price........ John Lewis you need to look at your delivery times and customer service.
