Had my 35yr old Linn Kan’s refreshed by Wilmslow. Steve did an assessment and told me remarkably all the drive units were in perfect working order. They recapped the crossovers and I now have them back sounding as good as they did when they were new. Thanks guys for friendly professional advice and quality workmanship.

Neil fine tuned a design I found online and built the cross overs to match the driver and cabinet choice. My speakers get better with every equipment upgrade I’ve made since building them. My amp is supplying the 4ohm design with no less than 825W and they take it on their stride. I dread to think how much it will cost for off the shelf speakers to match this level of quality for my next upgrade. I guess it will just have to be a Prestige pair next!

Super professional service from Wilmslow Audio who recently upgraded my 25 year old Ruark Crusader speakers for me. New tweeters and capacitors for the Crossovers were fitted. On collection Steve had protected them in soft packing sheets and bubble wrap to take home in transit. I'm truly delighted with the result that this upgrade/service has done for my speakers. Wonderful service provided by Neil and his team at Wilmslow Audio. I have just completed the refurbishment of my AR28s enclosures which had remained silent for many years after the sponge on the woofers decayed. Neil assessed my requirements, identified suitable tweeters and woofers and supplied bespoke cross-overs. The speakers sound amazing and I am thrilled with the outcome. Without a doubt the best repair service I have used for anything and would give more than 5* if I could. Dave and the team provided an outstanding service all the way through, from communication and help to repair and postage. I had my KEF T27 tweeter repaired with a very quick turnaround. They confirmed the job and after payment returned the tweeter with next day delivery at a very fair price. The repair was of the highest quality and everything now works perfectly. Having purchases a faulty pair of Rogers Studio 3 speakers on eBay , i sent them to Wilmslow Audio for inspection and possible repair. They re newed the cross overs using upgraded components Having just placed them in my Croft system , i have to say i was staggered to hear the sound. I recently asked Wilmslow Audio to make some replacement grilles for my Castle Conway speakers. The original ones were so old they were disintegrating. I have just had my 40 year old Linn Saras refurbished. The sound of these speakers is now comparable with how they sounded when new. I was thinking about trading them in and buying new but I was offered very little for trade in and the cost of a suitable new pair would have been somewhere between £1000 and £2000. The cost of the repair was minimal in comparison as all that was required was to replace the crossover capacitors. I fully recommend this course of action for anyone else in my position.

My Castle Severns were old and the drivers expired but the cabinets were still in good shape. I dropped of the speakers with Neil and he had them rebuilt. Neil told me that I'd find them to be better than my Keff Reference speakers - and he is correct. Playing David Gilmour Live in Berlin is just at a level that I've never before heard in any setup. And it was not expensive to retain but to have my Severns working like I'd never imagined.

I literally blew apart a 20+ year old proac Tablet speaker with an ancient and defective Naim amp.Wilmslow were my last port of call before the scap heap. Neil and the team are absolutely the best people to talk to if you need anything speaker related. I searched high and low for a replacement driver for my B&W CDM1 speakers and after many calls another speaker repair company said the only people he could think of was Wimslow. He was right! within a few emails Neil had recommended 2 options, the 2 new drivers make the speakers look even sexier than they did and the sound is better than before. The price was great and the service from Neil and his team was top notch. I am so happy with the result I will be revisiting the forums where I searched for a solution and tell everybody where to go if they want to bring there old speakers to life.

Knowledge + service = Happy Speakers + Happy customer Over a few emails with Neil from Wilmslow Audio I managed to get all the replacement crossover capacitors and new cones to make these 35 year old Heybrook HB2's sing to better than when they were new. I have just received my speakers back from Wilmslow Audio after a full refurb. They were orginally Castle Harlech S1, but at approx 23 years old were due for an upgrade. WA replaced the old drivers with Monacor SPH-135C and Scanspeak D2905/950000 units, plus changed the capacitors & wiring. Steve & Neil did a top-notch job and I'm amazed at the new sound. After upgrading my old Arcam Alpha 3 amp to an Arcam A19 I decided it was time to look at new speakers but after reading various reviews decided to take my 25 year old Tdl rtl3 speakers to Wilmslow for their first ever service and upgrade. Steve recommended new caps etc and new tweeters - we agreed on Scan-speak Classic D2008. Having used them for a few weeks now they sound brilliant again and I don't think I could be as happy even if I shelled out a lot more money on new speakers. A great job and I would thoroughly recommend Wilmslow - a great service.

I've had my JR149's from new and together with the LPA Super Woofer, have stood the test of time. So I was gutted when a pre-amp malfunction caused a power surge sending the power amp into protection mode and blowing one of the bass units. I turned to Wilmslow Audio for help and spoke to Steve who suggested Monacor SPH-135 ad's as replacements for the bass/midrange, and new capacitors in the crossover. Also replacing the tweeters (Scanspeak DR606) to enhance the top end if I wanted. After a bit of thought I decided to do that and am glad I did. Everything compliments each other beautifully and gives a lovely smooth and clear sound typical of the original but with more depth. Very happy! Great advice and service. Highly recommended. Great service, friendly staff, very helpful and my overhauled 50+ year old speakers sound great again, very happy with result. Would definitely recommend them. Update - recently had them. Update some 40 +year old speakers and build me a centre channel. Linked them to my new Denon surround sound amp, Pioneer bluray player and Rel sub my collection of Warfdale Triton, Linton and Denton plus and their custom centre tuned to match the rest, sound excellent. I am very happy with their service and if I need to will definitely use them again.

Excellent service from Steve and Neil, previously they supplied new grilles for my 40-year old HB2's and most recently re-furbished them with re-built crossovers, new binding posts and new bass-mid drivers. Excellent value as well. Don't be put off by being asked to pay the full price up front, apart from anything else it means you get a fixed price job.
