Elys brings class to SW19.. Since leaving around this area, I have seen the changes over the years. Selection of shops has changed over the years to cater new trends and stay relevant with the locals. There are high end cosmetic products and clothes. I could spend hours checking the houseware areas. You can find plenty of gems and fantastic designs there without going to a trip to the West End shops. Ending my day in Wimbledon is always a ME time at the fancy cafe area in the third floor.. today is my birthday and here's my scrumptious cake!

Love Ely's especially now with no debenhams. It's close to me so I can just pop in. They have most designers but Oasis has gone. Good bargains when they have a sale. Would definitely recommend.

Such a great store! The staff are brilliant, the security guy was brilliant and cheering up my crying baby and the lady on the fragrance counter was so helpful in helping me chose a gift for my sister. You could spend hours in there, love it.

Great selection of Fragrances including Carner Barcelona and Creed perfumes in stock, I went to check the perfumes mainly and found that 1/3 people knew what they were talking about, but there are some exceptional staff there that really fill the gaps to give this a 4 star selection and 1 more for the effort of those few staff that really make a difference to the customer experience. The five stars were given to Hannah of customer services dept at Elys Wimbledon , For the prompt proactive response to resolve a complaint made today 15th March 2022. I bought a box of rococo mint thin chocolates and on opening it at home found most of them broken and quite unacceptable to be given as a present . On telephoning the confection dept at Elys to get an exchange , a male staff working at the chocolate counter on a Saturday said That it was not possible to exchange it or get a refund saying “ A CHOCOLATE TASTES THE SAME WHETHER BROKEN OR NOT .” It was very disconcerting to hear such a negative response from a staff of a well known and reputable department store . ON THE OTHER HAND I was very impressed by the customer service staff who took me personally to the floor to confront the staff and resolve the issue immediately with a refund . WELL DONE CUSTOMER SERVICES OF ELYS . Message : Customer comes first ! Thank you

ive always used clarins products, from the foundations, to face washes to perfumes, absolutely beautiful, quality products. i do shop online and in store. staff members are really helpful. i love Eau Ressourçante which come in the blue bottle also a travel size which i carry with me all the time its a fresh fragrance which is lovely. Lovely Centre. My watch repair guy is based inside and there is a great Elys restaurant tucked away on the top floor. Pleasant shopping experience.

Very old establishment. Super store catering from kids to young and old with a variety of things from toys to dioramas dresses. I have been in Wimbledon from my college days to present where my grand children do visit the store that says everything for the staff and management how aware they are with the needs of people with changing times. Has a currency exchange bureau also. Many floors and good stuff but a bit expensive. Lovely lovely store hats off to owners and management. 🙏🙏 Good quality products. Not cheap as they don't compromise with quality.

First time visit to the restaurant and will definitely be heading back. It wasn’t the food that stood out, even though it was nice, but the superb customer service from who I believe was the manager. Very professional and welcoming when ordering the food. Small issue with our food order that was sorted immediately and without fuss. Didn’t have time to grab his name but he was great! Good location for food and hot drinks if you have small kids. Visit was Sat 12th Dec, he was in a blue shirt with red tie.

Bright, clean Italian café with tasty meals on display found on the top floor (near to the public toilets) of my favourite independent department store. I have been shopping here for 60 years. Comfortable seating, staff very friendly. I've never had cause to fault it. There's a loyalty stamp card.

I have been visiting Elys for over two decades. It is a great store and the staff are very helpful. However, in the past few years it has changed and I feel has lost some of its appeal for me. It used to sell furniture and white goods, but does no longer and seems to have become more frivilous and luxury oriented with the items it sells, and with that comes higher prices. I wish it would go back to what it was before which was an excellent, all round department store.

Elys in Wimbledon is one of the last remaining independent department stores that is a joy to visit. There is a decent range of products across all departments and generally speaking, the staff there are usually very knowledgeable about the stock they are responsible for, experienced and helpful. Parking is available in several public car parks nearby, prices generally are competitive and there is quite a nice restaurant on site. So well worth a visit when shopping in Wimbledon

There's loads here to kit your house and yourself out with. The quality is high as are the brands and if you think the prices are high you're getting what you pay for. Excellent localled owned department store with good range although a bit cramped up with displays making the store feel crowded and over hot even in winter. They need to maintain the game as with there closure of Debenhams they will be the only game in town or people will go elsewhere so this is an opportunity. Also the restaurant is amazingly under staffed (one serving on food counter, one on till, one making drinks means big queues) that people were walking out plus for its size they only have basically one hot meal choice (or it was poor advertising) and that was it.

Great customer service in a well laid out and thoughtful department store in the centre of Wimbledon town centre. Staff here are always helpful and friendly, this is a pleasant change from places such at Selfridge's in which staff often turn their nose up at you if you're not going to spend thousands. And bid discounts on most of the clothing sections. My recent visit a bit of a disappointment. Shop staff couldn't seem to careless. Concierge didn't have a clue how to deal with a problem. The man at till was unable to work it to take a discount off. And had to get the shop guard to find someone to serve me in perfume dept. And I wasn't the only person waiting. Yes it's busy, yes there are lots of people out Christmas shopping. But for there to be nobody around, really. Left dispointed. I used to love this store. It was my go to place. Not so sure now.

Elys is the most diverse department store in South London. The only comparable store is Peter Jones. It has a vast choice of cosmetic companies and the same for the fashion departments. The staff are polite and helpful and everyone in the area was desperately sad when Elys had to close during lock down . Thank god it's open and long may it survive.

Elys is a mixed bag. For some, it's a stain in the heart of Wimbledon but for others it's essentially John Lewis, sans-JLP branding. Elys isn't hard to find and is about a minute walk from the station. In terms of size it more than rivals the John Lewis in Kingston. From the outside, you'd be forgiven for thinking that it exists in some sort of time bubble where the eighties hasn't ended and life hasn't progressed immeasurably. Still, we can cover up terrible architecture with huge, gaudy banners, right? No. No we can't. The awful isn't just on the outside. When you enter, you are awash in a sea of yellow lighting. It's not bright, it's just dim. I'm been in brighter 'supermarkets' in shady parts of Chinese towns in the early 2000s. If you can stomach it, however, it's pretty much your one-stop Christmas/[insert holiday here] shop in Wimbledon where the only real competition is Debenhams in the Centre Courts shopping centre. Clothes? Check. Toys? Check. Tawdry luggage? Check. Make-up, perfume and toiletries? Check. Christmas decorations rolled out every year? YOU BETCHA!

I asked for her name but I don’t think she understood why. So I didn’t get it, unfortunately. But for a busy department store and for someone who works in customer service I was in shock. I normally do my shopping at Bicester however I will be returning to Ely’s Wimbledon every time just so I can see this lovely lady!
