Outstanding service on every single level. Judy and Steve were extremely patient with me throughout the entire process. I was particularly impressed by their honesty, integrity, responsiveness, reliability, professionalism, friendliness and specialist knowledge. I got exactly what I wanted and they provided a lot of guidance, respecting my choices and giving advice in those areas I clearly needed it. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. A really good shop, went in having failed to puck a pair of over ear headphones that worked for me. Tried a few pairs on and am really happy with what I have. Don't buy headphones or speakers online is my take away. Reviews don't account for your taste. The store manager was friendly and helpful!

Cannot recommend this shop enough. All the staff are really helpful and can't do enough for their customers. I visited several times while trying to find the perfect speakers and amplifier. Brendon and the team were happy to arrange several demo sessions for me and helped me with all my requests and questions. What I really liked was that the team were never trying to up-sell on anything. They were just as keen to recommend a cheaper product as a more expensive one. I usually buy everything on Amazon. However, for TV and speakers I go to Richer Sounds in Holborn, as they offer three things that Amazon can’t: 1. They come your home free of charge and suggest what products will and won’t work. This wasn’t pushy/commercial at all, and in fact they even dissuaded me away from a projector towards a lower cost TV. 2. They often offer discounts if you buy multiple items together that make it lower cost than Amazon. I saved several hundred pounds by buying through them. 3. They know their suppliers well. When my TV and speaker arrived and weren’t connecting properly, the store manage contacted a rep from the speaker manufacturer on first name terms, and within a couple of days there was a firmware fix. Don’t often write reviews online but definitely feel like these folks deserve five stars.

I live in Belgium and wanted a DAB receiver that would work there. Though I was not from the UK, the staff (especially Judy) treated me very well, took a lot of time to answer my questions and talked me through the products. When I purchased the products, Judy tried out the stereo and speaker in the store to see if everything was functioning properly. All in all, I had a great experience. I only wish Richer Sounds was in Belgium.

Nothing but excellent and friendly service from Richer Sounds. After being turned away from John Lewis (whose department management wouldn't allow us to test a Sony screen, afraid that we would damage it with a games console), Steve from Richer Sounds Holborn invited us down to the shop early in the morning, so we could conduct our tests with minimal interruption. Once we arrived, we received really friendly and helpful advice from Judy, who allowed us to conduct our tests and advised us on the best type of wall mount within our price range. (We didn't want to commit to such a large purchase without some extra research.) At no point were we hurried along or made to feel like an inconvenience- Judy and Matt were very patient with us as we set up our equipment and were not pushy, nor did they attempt any sort of a "hard sell". We returned the following day and bought the set and the recommended wall mount; Judy also arranged for the set to be installed in our home. Overall, we received excellent service and we're really happy with our purchase- we'll be buying our AV equipment from the Holborn branch from now on.

I had a brief chat with the assistant manager about portable music players. She was was friendly and helpful. I shall probably be back once I've made my decision on what I'm purchasing.

Small shop with a surprising inventory and very helpful service. I walked in to test and buy a specific pair of headphones and USB DAC. They set them up in the sound room so I could hear them together, along with a few other options for comparison. Great service. They can get busy over lunch and in the afternoon.

Great experience. I was in London for the day, and needed an amplifier. Gave my budget and assistant went through options they had impartially. Later in day, they fitted me in, for a sound room demo and even let me choose a number of CD's from their eclectic collection for me to put amplifier through its places. One of the few shops now, you can still test out audio equipment before you buy. Some items, you don't want to buy online, just based on reviews, so they fill a unique gap. That said, the offer online sales as well.

The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. One would never feel that one is being steered through a sale on the basis of value rather than fit. It's a teeny weeny space though, so they can't have a huge range to hand, so if you want to see something specific I would suggest giving them a call first.

As with all Richer Sounds the staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and go the extra mile. The issue is that this in an incredibly small shop compared to others outside London. It has very limited stock out on display. Surprising for their central London shop.
