Professional and friendly service. Bought a replacement tweeter for my B&W speaker and they fitted in store within 15mins.

I phoned prior to arriving and they had everything I required, they helped loading my car and were willing to help with a query when I called a few days later. I am pleased with my purchase and wish I had time to look around their shop as it had a great variety of goods to view. I would go back if in the area.

I ordered a center speaker from The Netherlands, and received it within 5 days. It was sold 200 euros cheaper than local stores, and the shipping fee was very reasonable. The speaker was wrapped in black foil to disguise the contents. Overall, great experience so far. And thanks for shipping to mainland Europe.

My 32 year old Rega Planar 2 was showing signs of its age and, having read lots of reviews, it was a choice between Rega Planar 1 and Pro - Ject Essential 3A. (I was leaning towards the P1 as it's a manufacturer I've been used to.) I rang the shop and spoke to Nik to arrange an in - store demonstration. (Nik wanted to know about my amp and speaker set up, so that he could arrange something as close as possible.) Very perceptive, I thought. Within two hours of our conversation, I turned up. (St. Michael 's car park is very close by.) I'd also brought a couple of my own albums . It's music I'm familiar with and it's always a good gauge when making comparisons. The Regar Planar sounded good. Mind you, it is rated highly by "What Hi - Fi?" and other reviewers, but listening to Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street" and The Rolling Stones "Start Me Up" on the Pro -Ject turntable, was the decider! There was more liveliness in the instruments and the vocals sounded cleaner. The Ortofon cartridge and the acrylic platter, in my opinion, contributed to the superior sound quality. So now, I am the proud owner of a Pro - Ject Essential 3A turntable, in white. It was all down to Nik setting up a live demonstration, which enabled me to choose the better of the two turntables. That is true customer service!

I needed a replacement Drive Belt for my Rega Planar 2 turntable and didn't know this shop existed until I did a search on Rega's website. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the item in stock, but Ortons also had the Drive Belt Upgrade which I bought in the end. I usually buy all things hi - fi from a retailer in Leicester, but this place was a great discovery.

Quick service. Already researched what I wanted so popped in, grabbed the unit, a very nice marrantz 5005 cd player, and dashed home to attach it to my beloved nad 3020e amp and blasted out genesis 1st album from the best speakers in the world, the elac f5 debut floor standers. Magic sound.
