First of all - Brilliant. Top Quality Customer Service. I spent 5 hours at the store testing different speakers and amps to feel and hear the difference. I am a perfectionist so I had many questions and Paul Chance helped me so much to choose the perfect sound setup for my office. I upgraded from an old low end 2013 sony soundbar to the KEF Q150's and the Tangent Ampster BT II which broke day 1 (dont cheap out on the amp i learnt my lesson) I took it back to the store next day and got a refund and decided to not cheap out and went for the Audiolab 6000A after having another listen with the help of James to be sure it was right for me. It sounds phenomenal in the space I have even better than it did at the store as I am limited by space constraints. TLDR: Top Notch. You will not find better service than this. I am never going back to Currys for A/V. Richer Sounds treated me well. Recommended. Thank you to the team at Richer Sounds Southampton.

I bought a quad x 4 of DALI Alteco speakers to give me what my Living room AV system, powered mainly by a Denon XH4500 with a 9.1 surround speaker system ( well 5.4.1).. Anyhow, I'd tried many combos of Speakers and nothing gave me the true Atmos sound dome every one was talking about. I did my research and bought four of these, replacing my non directional JBL Control height speakers, all I can really say is " Wow" these have really made the height sound stage sound as it should. So spookily " there" the sound effects actually make your skin crawl, and I really wonder how ATMOS can sound so very good. I was almost a "non believer" after having puny Onkyo uplift speakers, these down firers have really transformed my beliefs. We done Mark from Richer Sounds in Southampton. Fantastic service as always. Always go the extra mile I called up last week to order my LG CX55 Oled which after dealing with with nice gent on the phone it arrived within 48 hours. Prompt delivery and a good service from the courier. I missed a call today but received a voicemail to follow up and ask if my product is OK and I'm happy with it, this kind of service is scarce these days so it was very welcome. I ordered a sound system from RicherSounds Southampton THE WEEK Before Christmas and it arrived in days. Bradley was superb over the phone and managed my order very well. In the New Year I realised I wanted to exchange an RAC cable for an digital OptiLink cable, but feared that an exchange would be difficult due to the lockdown restrictions. Over the phone we were able to arrange a safe drop off then arrange transactions over the phone. There was quite a delay in receiving the digital cable, however when prompted, Rob quickly ordered one from a different store and got it to me in three days. Overall, I'm very pleased with the setup they were able to recommend to me over the phone, the quality of the products, and how they were able to manage the exchange remotely and safely.

Purchased my 75” tv from richer sounds 3 years ago based on there pricing,superior technical knowledge compared to other shops i had visited and the 6 year warranty, My tv unfortunately developed a issue recently ,and within 24hr hours of reporting my problem i had and engineer out to inspect my tv who then confimed it is most likely unrepairable, I was then contacted very quickly with my options which I choose a new replacement tv from the same brand. Fantastic customer service from RS with special thanks to Deputy Manager Rob! My amp went wrong - I emailed RS Southampton as my new local store and Rob quickly arranged a repair, but the issue wasn't fixed. I popped in store and Rob tested and confirmed the fault. I left the store with a replacement amp (I didn’t have time to test in store), but that had the same issue. A quick call to Rob and he arranged collection of the faulty amp and delivery of a different amp the next day - minimal hassle and promptly sorted. Thanks again Rob!

Recently purchased a LG 4K TV from Richer Sounds Southampton, but upon getting it home and watching football, we were disappointed by the motion blur. After receiving some advise over the telephone on settings and no improvement, we took the TV back to store. Our very helpful assistant Tom, spent and hour and a half with us, and hooked up all the demo TV's to our recordable box so we could view football on all of them. We were offered an exchange on our chosen 4K TV which we are now delighted with. Excellent customer service, we have bought many products from the Southampton store (which is not our local branch, but we find it much better) over the years, and will keep returning. They are very knowledgeable on all their products, and Tom is a genuine enthusiast of technology and it shows. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Top notch sound specialists, friendly staff who really know their trade. I bought a set of Cambridge Audio SX60 stereo speakers, had the chance to do a full demo in store, great for the price. Was a great start when we bought a tv on 24th of Jan 2020. We were told that Samsung QE65Q950r was on a stock and could be delivered either next day Saturday 25th if not then Monday 27th Jan 2020. both didn't happen. When we ranged them back Richer Sound Southampton told us it had gone out of stock. They also told us we were 2nd in the queue and the stock would be back soon by friday so it would be delivered Monday on 3rd of Feb. We requested to make a delivery on Thursday 6th of Feb instead and they agreed. The staff also told me the delivery will be now directly to my address and I don't need to ring them back and I believed him. Today the 5th of Feb, I ranged them back since I was not really convinced and I had not received any text or delivery dates. I spoke to Rob and he told me there is no stock yet. When I explained what other staff had been telling me, he didn't have any clue as he said and stock would only be coming to warehouse tomorrow 6th of Feb. That's Why I asked him why feed us lies all this time. And that other staff is also on leave when I asked Rob to confront him. It looks very unprofessional on his job telling lies to customers and also lack of total integrity and poor subject knowledge on his job. Well I will update more if either we will get the item delivered or not. SO FAR SO GOOD NOW, RECEIVED THE TELE ON FRIDAY ALSO RECEIVED A CASHBACK OF 75 QUID AS A GOODWILL GESTURE FROM RICHER SOUNDS DUE TO WHAT HAD HAPPENED. Sam and the team have been awesome from start to finish. After a home visit, Sam gave me three options all perfectly matched to my set up. A visit to the store demo room and my mind was made up. Rel T9i Sub, Yamaha RX-A1070 Amp, Dali Fazon Satellite Speakers and an LGB7. Impressive enough after the install but Sam's further visit for Calibration... and wow! It looks stunning in SkyQ and Apple 4K TV, rattling house! No problem too small, even after a small hick up with the RX-A1070 arriving only to be sold by mistake, I find a pack of beers and bag of popcorn as a sorry. They really didn't need to. But its the combination of the small things and the brilliantly large that this team get right. This is why I returned to Richer Sounds after buying my first set up in 2012. So went back for my 2017 upgrade and they haven't disappointed. Thank you for everything! Thank you Sam, you are genius.

Richer Sounds have been great over the years, my house is full of their tech but a couple of things recently has made me question future purchases. 1) I went in hoping to pick up a budget Toshiba TV for my son, his existing LG was going on the blink. The TV I wanted to purchase was out of stock but for another £20 I was encouraged to buy an LG which was "better in every way" than the Tosh. On getting it home I discovered that it not only had fewer connections than the Tosh but it was not full HD and not a smart TV, we had discussed smart tv features whilst making the purchase. I had to make a second trip to return the TV and a different salesman told me it was definitely a smart TV despite me pointing out there were no smart tv details on the box or on their website, after checking he than had to agree. I ended up buying the Toshiba from Tescos, quick and painlessly. 2) Today, I went to settle the balance of the 55" OLED TV I bought on a buy now pay 10 months time - interest free deal only to discover I had to pay the finance company (Barclays) an early repayment fee! They were not interested in the fact that I was NOT repaying it early but wished to clear the balance ON-TIME, otherwise I would be sucked into a 36 month repayment plan which would cost me a further £910! Their deals may be Interest free BUT certainly NOT additional fees free!! ☹️

After failing to get disinterested staff at my local PCWorld to help me with my new TV purchase, I contacted Richer Sounds in Southampton to see if they had the TV I was after in stock (Panasonic Tc40cx680B). Paul took the time to check the stock room and then agreed to reserve the TV for me till the following day. When I went to the store in London Road, I was met by helpful staff member Marc who collected the TV I wanted from the storeroom. After paying for it he kindly took it to my car and popped it in the boot. He also kindly refunded my car parking charge so I went away as a VERY happy customer. The TV price at Richer Sounds was the same as PC World but it also included a free 6 year guarantee with it, making it the best value too!

After considerable research, I opted for the MINX package and I've no regrets. In white with the matching gloss white speakers it looks great! The sound more than fills my lounge (at only 15 on the volume scale), easy set-up too. I had thought about the Denon Ceol RCD N9 because of the Wi-Fi/internet connectivity but opted for the Cambridge due to it's better amp. I can easily add a cheap plug-in such as Google Chromecast Audio (£30). The best bit was the buying experience from the Southampton store - Although the didn't have it in stock, I ordered it around 2.30pm and it was delivered to store at 10.30am the following morning. I eagerly arrived only to find that they don't open until midday. No problem - the guys were in, having breakfast, so they opened up for me. Once in, I decided to purchase some new cables and plugs. I wasn't confident about trimming and connecting so cheekily asked if they could do it for me. Again, nothing is too much trouble and 10 minutes later 8 banana plugs were expertly fitted for me. Next, they gave me a quick user guide on the in-store unit. John Lewis could learn a thing or two about customer service from these guys. A special thanks to Tom and Mark.

The manager could not have been more helpful in my hour of need! My old tape deck was refusing to eject an extremely sentimental cassette that was far more valuable than the tape deck itself. The manager instead of sending the tape deck away from repair took up the challenge of rescuing the tape by dismantling the tape deck in-store. With a little help from a colleague and a lot of patients they rescued the sentimental tape for-which I will forever be grateful!
