I had the pleasure of dealing with Fahed and Maes for their structural and architectural services for 2 projects at my residential home in 2019. The first project involved removing several walls to make an open planned layout in the house. The second was a side extension and new porch. In both projects excellent architectural design work was undertaken as well as providing all structural calculations to meet building regulations. The service was fast and accurate. From day one, I found Fahed and Maes to be very professional, helpful and always there when we needed structural or architectural advice. I rarely post reviews but Fahed was so fantastic I thought it worth sharing. We were two days away from exchange of contracts when it was noted that our insurance was void due to historical subsidence. I got in touch with Fahed and within 24 hours he had inspected the property and written a comprehensive recommendation to prospective insurers. As a result we were able to get insured and the house exchanged and completed on time. Thank you again Fahed!

We choose Beta because company based locally where we live and also many good reviews. We contacted Beta, Fahed immediately arranged with us and visit the site next day. He is no doubt a professional, very helpful and kind. Whenever we need help he always there for us, including weekend or holidays. His communication with our builder is excellent. Good, knowledgeable team working efficiently. Visited the site when necessary and charges were reasonable. Drawings were supplied at request and specifications were clear. Only two points to improve; measurements and areas on drawings need to be accurate with architects drawings, and steel beams could have been designed to facilitate installation for builders.

He was very responsive and stayed proffessional from the beginning to the end of the project, offering his help and advise while the work progressed. We had faced a lot of issues with building contractors and Fahed helped us resolve them by reviewing photos and making extra visits to ensure everything was by the book. I spoke to a few local engineers I found on a google search and Fahed at Beta seemed like the most personable and trustworthy. He first asked why I wanted an engineer to qualify if I really needed one. Others I spoke to just wanted a deposit before discussing anything. Fahed went in to uphold my initial assumption. He advised me on many points in my property that saved me time and money and he did so at no charge. We then worked on the main issue which he resolved with clear calculations and drawings for my builder. I'd therefore highly recommend Fahed.

It has been a great joy working with Fahed in Beta Engineering. We were at a loss when the building work of our extension were not able to move ahead due to the council’s requirement that has hamper our progress. All of a sudden our architectural plan were stucked until I seek help from Fahed who had gone through and analyze our problem in details; redrawing the engineering structural drawings so as to comply with the council’s requirement so that we could move forward. In between Fahed has rendered help by responding un-tirelessly by phone, Whatsapp and email which was much appreciated with comfort of knowing that everything will go smoothly from now on. “I am the Chairman of a Wellington Housing Co-operative, an RSL of 24 developed and 10 undeveloped properties. Building activities by a neighbour of one of our properties resulted in structural damage to the party wall. I was advised by our party wall surveyors to engage the services of a Structural Engineer and following recommendations from the Professional Body and a Google search obtained a list of Engineers local to our property. Mr Maida was the first of those I contacted who was willing and available, in effect a random choice. I have no reason to doubt that choice. He has proved more than competent and reliable. During his inspections he was thorough and as important to a layman such as myself able to explain lucidly what he was doing and why. The same comments apply to his reports. In addition he made himself available to discuss the various legal aspects of the planning process which effected directly and indirectly our case and contributed to our successful efforts to obtain a Cease Work order from the LA. I have no hesitation in recommending him, in fact we, the Co-op have already approached him concerning a completely unrelated project which the Co-op are undertaking. A.M.
