Veronica first visited us in 2019 to discuss our requirements for a single storey rear extension. It was obvious that she very quickly understood what it was we wanted and was proposing things that we would never have thought of. It wasn’t long before we had plans ready to submit to the planning department which Veronica handled and consent was granted. She then liaised with our structural engineer to prepare the package for the builder. We started the build in September 2020 and completed in February 2021 ready for the kitchen fit. We are extremely happy with everything Veronica has contributed to this project, we would highly recommend her.

Had a great experience with Veronica - we had an initial design meeting the first week in September, and by mid November we had our finalised plans, Veronica had got them through Planning Permission for us and we were out to tender for builders! Great pace of work, despite COVID restrictions, lockdowns and having to do all bar the first meeting remotely. Never having undergone any building work before, to have a kitchen extension designed exactly to my requirements was very exiting. Just had a lovely informative consultation with Veronica. We discussed converting the 4 bedroom house into two x 2 bedroom flat or dividing - with an extension downstairs and open plan kitchen diner, living room out onto the garden and an additional bedroom onto garden, while upstairs converted the two bedrooms into a large living room diner kitchen out onto the balcony. Down stair would also have a new bathroom , and the soundproof stairs would be pulled forward to the front of the house and both had separate entrances. Also the possibility or a stair case out from the balcony down into the garden. Such a wealth of information. Thank you Veronica.

We employed Veronica to design a complete makeover of our house, including rear, side and loft extensions, internal remodelling, rewiring, replumbing and external redecoration. The build work took approx 9 months to the timelines that she and the builder had agreed. Veronica worked with us patiently over several months through multiple reworks of our plans, reacting to changes in our budget, design preferences and planning department feedback. She helped us find great contractors and advised us on managing the building project. Being property developers and building contractors we have worked with many architects before , we had been appointed by the client to work with Veronica on a project in SW18 which was a whole house refurbishment and a wraparound rear and side extension . Veronica’s plans where very informative and imaginative with all the detailing on them that was required to carry out the works to a high standard . We particularly liked the way that it was designed inside with one of the internal walls being a feature in old stock bricks, pointed and then sealed bringing the a new extension to be part of the existing Victorian house . With wooden oak bi folding doors specified that made the wrap around extension flow from modern living space in keeping with the traditional style that the clients required, I particularly liked the new first floor bathroom that incorporated a curved wall that made the hallway flow around the bathroom, the final product was a testament to the design that had been done

We hired Veronica (of VC Design Architectural Services) after interviewing lots of potential architects. She was by far the most responsive, passionate and creative option and was also reasonably priced in comparison to some - we still believe all this to be true after 2 years of working together. We embarked on a huge renovation involving a ground and first floor extension with the majority of the internal walls being knocked down too. We’re in a conservation area which involved a complex planning permission procedure which we couldn’t have got through without the expertise of our architectural designer. Another added complexity was that we were trying to make our home wheelchair accessible in an aspirational and stylish way - Veronica absolutely smashed the brief with a sleek curved ramp which doubles as a beautiful feature in the centre of our home with stunning curved lighting features to match. We are very happy with the decision we made to work with Veronica and are extremely grateful for all her help in creating our dream-home.

Veronica Congdon (VC Design) has architected and designed 2 homes for us in East Sheen to an exacting Standard. (So good the first time, we went back for a second project with her!) The first house Veronica transformed was from a 3 Bedroom Semi Detached house to a 4 Bedroom with expanse Loft Conversion and full width Kitchen Extension. The second house was a considerably larger job, transforming a Detached 4 Bed House with Garage to a large double fronted property with double Storey side Extension and full rear Extension, including full internal floorplan re-structure. Each time, veronica has maximised the space potential with her designs and has been exceptional at steering and driving through planning to extract results we didn’t think would be possible.
