D. S.My wife and I commissioned Arid to design a brand new house project in Bembridge, and to help advise on fundamental issues of construction and design.
Chris and Adam were conscientious, imaginative, extremely hard-working, cost-conscious, collaborative and dedicated.
Designing a new house holds many challenges. We are extremely lucky that Chris and Adam crossed our path - and we now have a superb house, in no small part due to their help and expertise.
D. B.Arid Design took on my house design and after making some really insightful design change suggestions made getting planning permission a virtually painless task. Their knowledge of the planning system is extremely thorough so we were able to discuss the art of the possible and get permission for everything we wanted in what could have been a tricky location.
We continued to use Arid for much of the building control work and again we were very impressed with the attention to detail, quality and willingness to use modern construction techniques. This has been backed up with a lot of much needed practical advice for a first time self builder. I would not hesitate to use Arid again should I build another house.

P. F.I have worked with ARID design on 2 self build projects. As I work off the Isle I needed help in both the design, planning and project management of the 2 builds. Through out the process I have had full confidence with both Adan and Chris at ARID. They are knowledgeable in all aspects of planning and project management. They are always ready to come up with money saving suggestions and when I'm away I know the project will move forward in the most cost effective way. Following a unhurried consultation once we had moved in , Arid came up with a great design giving us exactly everything we hoped for .With some fairly radical changes the place has been transformed . Adam and Chris followed through the planning process to a very successful outcome, as they also did with another application for a stable block.
They gave sensible advice on renewable energies and any problems we had . I would Recommend ARID every time.

S.Adam and his team have run a very large refurbishment project for me dealing with everything from technical detailing and material selection through project management to advice on which subcontractors to use. They dealt with planning conditions and building regulation approvals as well as construction challenges and were always professional, responsive and great to deal with.

S. C.I would have no hesitation in recommending ARID. Apart from a broad understanding of planning and building regs ( which to be fair we took as a given), they were very innovative with internal design. A good example of this was that they convinced us there was room for an ensuite shower in the main bedroom where the space looked very tight. By lowering the garage ceiling underneath, this created the extra height required. They were also prepared to work with us, effectively in partnership, so that the end product turned out as we would have wanted. Some architects seem to like it all their own way, and don't involve the client sufficiently, and we didn't want one of those.
G. W.We used Arid Design on a regeneration project In Wootton. This included 10 new build houses, demolition of a warehouse and refurbishment of another warehouse. The design of the houses was so impressive that all of the units were under offer within a very short time. The sales were generated all off plan using CGI images. All of the way through the project Arid were very helpful liaising with planners, builders, building regs and other statutory bodies. They have passion mixed with a commercial approach.
