My only regret is I've lived in Brighton for almost 5 years and had no clue this place existed! The place welcomed me with open arms and the atmosphere is nothing but friendly and respectful. I feel part of a family. The membership allows me to train in multiple disciplines, which was always my dream. I never want to leave!

I've been coming here for over 10 years of my life and I've never experienced such a warm, welcoming atmosphere for people at all ability levels to train and improve their skills. All the teachers are fantastic and full positive energy as soon as you walk in the room. Highly recommend!

Joining Nam Yang Brighton was the best desicion I made in 2020.
I was struggling with feeling demotivated and was struggling to lose weight after the first lockdown.
At the suggestion of a close friend who had done martial arts before, We started researching Martial arts classes in brighton. I was hesitant at first because I don't like to fight, but I saw it as a form of self-development. After my first kickboxing lesson with Sam, I was hooked! (Pun intended)
Everyone at the classes were really friendly and I got a sense of community and inclusive vibe which is something that I didn't get from some of the other Martial arts schools we were looking at. I was really impressed with the outreach work they were doing with disenfranchised groups and people with disabilities.
Everyone has a place at Nam Yang and even if you're struggling financially or seeking asylum then the club has systems in place to accomodate you.
Sam is a great, friendly and patient instructor and always receptive to my many questions!
I've been coming to classes for 3 months now and I've seen a real positive change. I've become more confident, my mental health has improved alot and I've lost weight (17Kg). In large part because of the work I've done with Sam at the kickboxing classes.
If you're interested in martial arts training whether you're a beginner or have been training for a long time I cannot reccomend Nam Yang Brighton enough!

Best Martial Arts school in Brighton. The staff and students are so friendly & welcoming, this place feels more like a family than a school. Everyone is positive and encouraging, no matter what your age or standard. So many different classes to chose from & Master Shifu Sam is unbelievably devilishly handsome.

I love the classes, very friendly community and everyone is so encouraging to each other. My son also loves the Kick Boxing and Kung Fu lessons too!

Great place to learn martial arts as a beginner, or as someone who is experienced. AMAZING value for money, nice people, great atmosphere. The instructors are so friendly 10/10

I cannot recommend this club enough. Not only will you get fit and learn from an array of very talented instructors, you will also make great friends. Whether your martial arts journey is just beginning or you already have experience, this is the place to come.

A really friendly place that helps people at all abilities with their kickboxing. The Savate kickboxing is great for improving technique and conditioning. The Sanda kickboxing is great for improving strength and learning a combination of kickboxing techniques with Judo. I would really recommend this place for the kickboxing as the atmosphere is friendly, with the members happy to give advice. The membership is also really cheap for the amount of effort that Sam (The instructor) points into the classes.

Awesome club! Good range of classes training in traditional Tiger Crane Kung Fu, San Da and Savate kickboxing. Kids classes too. The instructors are really knowledgeable and really sound. Great vibe; pretty chilled but on it! Recommended.

San da classes offer a good range of technique and sparring for all abilities. Gi and NoGi Brazilian Jiujitsu classes offer a great variety and are very welcoming for beginners. BJJ game has improved massively under Aaron.

Great martial arts centre. I've trained Sanda (kickboxing, but better) here on many occasions and can highly recommend for people just starting or for those experienced in other styles. Good vibe and friendly people.

Wide variety of classes, friendly staff and members. There is a real community feel to the gym, making it family friendly as well as perfect for hard and high level training.

Savate/Sanda classes offer a good kickboxing session, with technique, conditioning and sparring, nogi BJJ classes also offer great coaching, conditioning and tough rolls, all with a friendly atmosphere and at an affordable price!

Great little club reminiscent of the old school Kwoon found in Singapore and mainland China.
There is a lot going on here ranging from Traditional Kung Fu to Sanda (kickboxing with take downs and throws , Savate (French Kickboxing) ,Tai Chi/Chi Gong.
I personally have recently returned to the club after quite a long break only to find that there is also a Brazil jiujitsu class with a great instructor from The Mad Hatters MMA academy , so if your looking to get fit , learn self defence or compete they have it all here with loads of lessons to choose from and a very affordable membership plan 👍

Bjj gi and no gi classes really well run by Aaron. Very friendly, beginners welcome and pay as you go. There are no crazy egos. Everyone helps each other to learn and improve.
