I can not rave enough about this community resource. Let me first say that this is not a food bank. This is a localised drop off collection point for surplus food. Basically shops hand in unsold but still edible food and people come here take what they need and leave a donation. This helps our community and wider world. Since getting"free" food I have grown to appreciate the food I have more and more. One day I needed six items for my meal receipe. I managed to get three of them at the hub. This meant I only had three to buy, saving me money and I had saved three items from becoming waste. I enjoyed the meal all the more knowing this.
