A. A.The place has undergone much improvement and development and plays a vital role in the community.....
That said, last month I was there someone took my shoes and I had to go home in just my socks, so best to take precautions
S. R.Building has been extended allowing the top floor for ladies, also has a lift and toilets, still unfinished as windows not put in. Lovely decor with carpet from Turkey.
B. A.Very nice mosque space for the Muslim community
K. M.An nice community mosque. Place for ladies to pray but undergoing an extention at the moment. Lots of classes to get involved in. I learned to cycle here with Green Guardians and attended sewing classes. Imam is really nice and approachable to ask advice.
W. Z.Building is great with a recent extension and hosts many classes for youth and adults.
I. A.My local Mosque for Friday prayers.
Main hall holds 180 people ( 6 rows of 30 namazies) Then there is anorher 3 sections for overflow.
There is a ladies section, a room at the back of the building.
Wudu facilities consist of 2 toilets and a purpose built, with 7 seats. There is small towels to use as well as the usual washroom rotating towel. The small towels get used up pretty quickly when the kids are in for the school Jamat.
Looking for funding for improvements which the drawing can be viewed on site. Achitect is Stephen Govan at Ingram Architect & Design Ltd. They are also doing the Central Mosque in the town centre.
a. s.The Woodfarm Educational Trust (W.E.T.) is a registered Scottish charitable company based in East Renfrewshire. The Trust manages the Woodfarm Education Centre (former Woodfarm Sports Centre, 1 Burns Grove, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 7HF), which is the first facility serving the educational, religious, cultural and social needs of East Renfrewshire's Muslim community in its 40+ year history. The objects of the W.E.C. are two-fold
