This was an off the cuff visit based on an article in the local paper. What a find. There are open days for the public so not open all the time. The open days are to raise funds for charity. £7 to get in, well worth it. The rose garden has over 100 old fashion scented roses, the smell was amazing. The garden leads you into woodland and into a nature reserve which was lovely on a sunny day and then ends back at the garden. We were there for 3 hours and it was very enjoyable. We were lucky to spot a bird of prey nest but couldn't identify the bird. There's a cafe there. A lovely visit and will look out for future open days.

An absolute gem of a nature reserve. Its relatively small but very diverse with some outstanding specimen trees that are clearly labelled. The routes through the reserve are well laid out and provide variety. Quite steep in places though so not so good if you're not good with going up and down slopes. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff too.

Beautiful gardens. We went for a kids activity and both our 8 year old and 13 year old enjoyed themselves (a rare occurrence!). We've booked another activity and will be keeping an eye out for more!

Beautiful nature reserve in the Stour valley, with specimen trees and plants and glorious walks through the eight acres; a perfect place to visit for relaxation, mindfulness and to appreciate fauna and flora throughout the year, each season brings the reserve to life; educational workshops for all ages in this hidden gem of a place; highly recommended.
