I’ve had the pleasure of following the course Disability and Advice with Choice in Hackney.
The structure of the course is accessible and has just the right amount of information with insight into every aspect of the covered area. The bonus has always been the experience the trainers have brought, on top of the information that has always been relevant and according to current legislation.
With over ten years of experience in doing the course Haq and Paul engaged every participant and they were genuinely interested in everyone’s opinion while also offering the support needed in order for everyone to understand the information.
The course also covers areas like confidence building and employment techniques.
This has been an eye opening course regarding disabilities and how we should all guide over the social model when dealing with disabilities.

with their "LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN ADVOCACY" was having the opportunity to learn from Haq & Paul, and some other trainee... that they were already very experienced in this field. For me was a positive journey.
Now, following the training, I am ready to get into the professional experience with their Coaching Scheme and the weekly Job Club!!!
Plus they are offering an accurate and complete Mentoring Scheme as a practical job with Choice.

Disability Advocacy and Independent Living course (April–July 2020)
Thanks Haq & Paul for sharing your knowledge and passion, and Choice in Hackney for this opportunity. The course offered a comprehensive insight into disability and advocacy as a whole, covering aspects from history, legislation, and benefits to topics on building self-confidence and employment. It was at a much higher level than I expected and, despite being entirely on Zoom, was rich in content, discussions, guests, quizzes, with a final test and project at the end. Highly recommended!!

An excellent, interesting and comprehensive course, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I would recommend to anyone, regardless of if they are pursuing a career in advocacy or not.
Thank you Haq and Paul for challenging me, sharing your wealth of knowledge, and providing more than food for thought.

I have attended the Advocacy and Employment Training course/Project from September until January and it is one of the best trainings I have attended so far. Haq and Paul who facilitated the training were absolutely wonderful. They were both very knowledgable, open-minded, inclusive, compassionate and approachable. I joined this training at a very emotionally challenging time for me, having gone through bereavement, having experienced a serious accident that affected my mobility and other life challenges. Thanks to Haq and Paul, I managed to find a job as they have actively empowered and coached me to find a job in a field I was not very confident in. They both believed in me and my abilities.
Haq and Paul, I think that you both have many special gifts. Thank you again for all the support and knowledge you have shared with us during our training last year. We were a very lucky bunch and my Thursdays are not the same.
I miss our training sessions on Thursdays with the most compassionate, supportive and knowledgable trainers I have ever had the privilege to know.
A single day doesn’t go by that I do not think how lucky I am to have been part of such an amazing group of people, where I felt safe to be myself, I felt understood, supported and accepted fully for who I am and for that I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for everything. I will be forever grateful🙏🏽🌸🍀🌺
