It was a cool day and very clear. You could see a long way-but not as far as Velma had gone.

Had a friends birthday party here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices of drinks were superb and staff were excellent. Well done!

They've got a beer garden in somebody else's back garden! That's ingenious!
Only saw a few people that i recognised from when i was a member there.
What's Cooking are back upstairs too.
I hope theyve worked out a way to get and keep new members as it has been done up nicely.
Darts teams have started playing there again, i hope they still do the raffle and music on a Friday night.....

Great traditional old club with a fabulous initimate gig venue upstairs. Pints of ale only £3.80!

I visited last night for the first time with 2 friends. My mate, Peter is a member and ex para. Very friendly reception. The governor Sharon came over to personally introduce herself and welcome us. Not tried the food yet. I'll definitely be going back. Shame I live so far, otherwise this would be a regular spot.

Attended a jazz night held by the monthly club. Access to great calibre of musicians for a local urban venue; good enough venue for live music, and good transport options. Beers are reasonable, a little wine but it's not a full blown club bar, so all-in-all a good venue that makes an effort in the community.

Played a show upstairs for the 'what's cookin' series which was great fun. Venue is proper old school but kitted out well. organiser and bar staff really friendly and they have some great beers on tap for much less £ than other pubs. Go watch a show there!

Grew up in & out of this club. My Grandad, Joe Small, was President here after he retired. Many, many happy a Sunday lunchtime waiting for lunch while having a coke while Grandad had a Tartan bitter. I could still be blindfolded and find my way round there & must 25+ years since I've been there, I think the last time was a pint with Grandad just after my 18th. Great memories, great times!
