Great place to stop off for a coffee and cake. Outside seating area to bring your own picnic. Large reserve to walk around and enjoy nature. Interesting shop with gifts and products for the garden and learning about the environment and animals. This is a charity essential to Kent.

Calm place, full of nature and a welcoming atmosphere.

We had a lovely morning doing one of the Nature Tots sessions. There were lots of activities for my toddler to do, some were guided and some were self led. The staff and volunteers were engaging with adults and children. The two hours flew by. The only downside was we didn't get to do everything but we hope to go again so we can do more next time. We are looking forward to seeing if there are more sessions in the Autumn.

Thank you very much.

Lovely, peaceful place for nature. So much to see here. It’s not yet fully open to the public, since it shut for Covid reasons but when it does reopen I’d highly recommend a visit here.
As far as I’m aware, It’s free to visit, but, if you can donate to them please do, they are a charity and most of the people working there are volunteers.

Very nice to visit popped in and spotted some bird's and wild life thank you all

Lovely walk for bug spotting with lots of hands on things to do. Only down side is the playground. It's too big for toddlers , I would say it needs to be 6+ as very high and no sides to stop them falling off. Very friendly staff.

What a lovely little place to spend an afternoon. Our toddler has started showing an interest in nature so he loved looking for bugs and birds. The staff/volunteers were friendly and informative. If you're at a loose end for a few hours head here to get back to nature.

This place may not be huge, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in educational value. A great place for kids and adults to learn about wildlife. Very attractive layout. Reasonably priced cafe which makes a pleasant change. Also gift shop for buying wildlife related items and educational toys/books and plants.

We go for the art displays. Whatever day it is there is never say parking available and my mother struggles at 88 to walk far on uneven surfaces. But the staff are very kind volunteers and the food in the cafe is very good indeed. The nature walk is excellent for amateurs or keen observers.

A beautiful oasis just on the borders of our County town. This small reserve is peaceful, well thought out - with plenty to entertain kids (including mini beast houses to explore) and adults (interesting info boards to explain what you are seeing). And friendly helpful staff to boot

This is our second year as a corporate member and I do feel that our membership money is being put to great use. What a wonderful place to visit, to walk round, sit and have a cake and coffee in the café and much much more.
Really great place to take the family and a great place to hold business meetings, should you wish to do so !!!

Wonderful friendly, relaxed place to visit. Warm staff who just want to educate and help those interested in our diminishing wildlife. Lovely gift shop and stunning wildlife habitats and gardens you can walk round which are full of ideas which you can take home and apply to your own gardens.

A visit to The Kent Wildlife Trust is a must to appreciate the amount of things to see and do. A brilliant place to go with children of all ages to help them learn about Kent wildlife. There is a tea shop and cafe with plenty of choices on the menu. You really could spend the whole day here with ease.

Fabulous setting and experience for learning about bugs and the history of the area. Had a birthday party here and it was loved by all the kids attending and the parents enjoyed the day. Highly recommended.

I have been here a few times for talks and to paint. Calming area. Lots to do and see nature wise. Cafe good value. Not easy to locate unless a local even then it can be tricky. Signage could be improved.

I love Tyland Barn as a time filler for a couple hours with my toddler. Great for bug hunting. Recently went for pond dipping and it was brilliant. Good little cafe there too!

A lovely 17th century barn, containing an interesting exhibition on wildlife and conservation. Good gift shop. Stands in small grounds showing the various nature habitats, including a large pond. Many mini-beast homes. Great place to introduce children to wildlife, look for mini-beasts and pond dipping. Free entry.
