This is a great little pub to grab couple of pints whilst in town. Gets busy especially on match days which has a great atmosphere it is close to Newcastle football stadium. They pull a good pint at a great price. Only accept cash here though. Close by is st James metro station and few other pubs and plenty of choices if you fancying bite to eat. It is also a short walk into Newcastle Town centre where you can catch a local bus. You will find lots of pubs, shops and restaurants here, it's also close to Eldon square😊 x

Best place in the toon for a pint of Scotch on a Sunday. My twitter mate Martin who used to play the drums in public image, is still jealous that I get to go. He used to play in a band there with some bloke called Gordon Summner? Don't know what happened to him... This time we were entertained by no one knowing how to turn on the new big TV and the barred cleptommaniac being reminded he's barred, by punters and the staff. All this and proper bar scran. What more could you ask for!

Understandably slowish service, because of the Covid table-only rules, but fabulous entertainment from the Benidorm Take That boys. Excellent venue.

I used to love this place...... unfortunately on a match day, they now have kareoke on in the members lounge. I'm a member and myself and my dad(who's 75and can't manage stairs, so can't go to the concert lounge up two flights of stairs for a seat) can't have have a conversation or hear our selves think. Think we'll be cancelling our membership for next season and trying the companions club up the road. A real shame. Update: it appears the karaoke has stopped on a match day. Changed my review back to a 5! Well done ladies and gents.
