Reviews of Shallowbrook Lakes

Under new ownership and seemingly thriving because of it. The new proprietor is hell bent on improving the venue and by all accounts absolutely is. There's hot food and drinks on site though I didn't partake on this occasion and toilets (though there was always toilets at least there were in the early 2000's)
The locking of the gates at 4pm in the winter gives security to not only the anglers but also the stock of fish in a world where some think it's OK to steal fish. The caveat to this means if you're not in for the night you have to be out strictly at 4pm, which is probably fine for most but left me with a feeling I'd be missing potential bites just as the light is fading on this late November day.
Overall it's lovely to see the venue busy and well run by an angler, and I will return to try and tempt a Shallowbrook carp out for a photoshoot.

I took my granddaughter to Snipe lake as we're both new to fishing great little lake ideal for my granddaughter as she was catching plenty of little roach, bream and perch to keep her interested in fishing
Great to see how much work is being carried out around snipe lake already for a new fence around the whole of the lake and a great deal of trees have been cut down already for the fence to be installed
GREAT WORK GUYS

My first visit to this fishery, which, I understand, is under new management. Very impressed. I fished Meadow Lake. The pegs are well constructed and spaced. Caught common carp and bream. Even had a lovely bacon roll brought to my peg!
What's not to like!

Culture has completely changed since new management. Gonna make this my regular from now. Very happy with the way it is looked after, the bus with all your essentials is perfect too.

Being 9 minutes from home, it has become quite a regular haunt! Had some good days fishing, great having food and drinks on site as well.
