H. F.As a motor boat owner it's tempting to think that the RYA does nothing for you. The reality is anything but the case. The RYA has worked hard to fight our corner when it comes to regulatory changes and our relationship with Europe / the EU.
In our case we have also used the RYA to provide MCA certification for our boat charter operation. I personally have also benefited from their training programs to further my own abilities. Not only the Yachtmaster qualification but also sea survival skills and general first aid.
As an organisation they still see people as individuals and have pulled out the stops on a couple of occasions when we needed specific help. We are very fortunate to have the RYA on our side.
