Following our mother’s death in 2019, my sister and I had dealings with a number of solicitors and estate agents regarding her estate and house sale. We settled on Austin Lafferty to handle conveyancing, matters concerning our mum’s will and estate agency and have no regrets. Alan Ferguson dealt with the house sale, viewings etc and was similarly attentive and genuinely enthusiastic throughout the process. We received an excellent service from everyone at Austin Lafferty. They made the whole process of buying and selling straightforward and took much of the stress away from us. Firstly, Linda came to our flat and gave us positive feedback, helping us to feel confident about our realistic chances of selling and what we might expect to achieve financially and from the process. She was friendly, knowledgable and filled us with confidence. She was also there to give us advice as and when we needed it along the way. She gave us a quote for evrything at our first meeting, breaking the costs down from estate agent fees to survey where all fees were reasonable and less than we had budgeted for. Our flat was sold to the first and only viewer for the price we had hoped to acheive, the amount we needed to move. The flat was on the market for less than one week. Communication was excellent and legal work taken care of promptly and efficiently. When it came to buying another property, we were helped by Elaine, a solicitor at Austin Lafferty who was also very knowledgable and helpful. She moved quickly and worked efficiently to help us make offers and gave advice whenever we needed it. Nothing was too much trouble. We found a lovely house after only six weeks of searching and again, the process was made easy and stress free, they even stayed open late on a bank holiday for us to take in some last minute information. During the buying process we also had dealings with Tracey who again, was most helpful. From start to finish, I can't find fault with Austin Lafferty and can't thank them enough for our experience and their efficiency. I most definitely would recommend and will use them for any future legal matters that we encounter.
