Peter Sharman was our conveyancer for our first-time house purchase over the summer and we could not have been more impressed. Even though there were issues with the sellers side of the purchase we were kept updated throughout and he did everything and more that we asked of him. It was an absolute pleasure to have Jo Alty from Sharman's carry out conveyancing on behalf of my wife and I for a house purchase and sale. Both transactions unfortunately came with their own complications, compounded by the COVID19 lockdown restrictions. What I would say is without Jo, the experience would of been a whole lot worse. Jo acted with upmost professionalism throughout the process despite some pretty challenging solicitors working for other parties. She managed to find solutions to help progress the move and kept me and my wife regularly informed throughout. I have had experience over the years with solicitors being hard to reach but I can hand on heart say this was never the case with Jo, who took a more proactive approach in sharing information. What was most important about working with Jo is that she showed she cared. Jo empathised with our situation and went above and beyond to support my family, sometimes in cases she didn't have to. A house move is an extremely stressful process, so having a solicitor who supports and guides you through the journey has been extremely important. Following our completion Jo had shared all our completion statements and sent funds where they needed to go all by close of play. I honestly could not fault her.
