JLO was suggested, and I decided to use them. It was a bit stressful at first getting all information together but once allocated a worker it was much better. I had Kim initially and she was clear and communicated really well with the differernt stages of the process, and she kept me up-to-date with what she was doing, and with what information she was awaiting from the sellers and she was very responsive to emails. This really helped me to understand the process better with being a first time buyer. Sadly, Kim left close towards the end of the purchase. My case was transferred to someone else who sadly was not as able to understand the situation to meet my need. I was so pleased and relieved that JLO had then allocated me a replacement. I then had Nazima, who was excellent to finish off the process. Nazima stepped in so, so quickly to enable the sale to reach its completion with absolutely no difficulties. Nazima was extremely helpful, listened and understood the situation, and was clear in communication and got on with the job in hand. Efficient and professional, we were informed about all the steps of our new home purchase and told that some times they will go quiet but there is job in the background that they do without us stressing out. However of you want to speak to them you have to be patient as they are always on a meeting or on another call, they advise you to email then but if i could wait for a reply i would have emailed first! We were told friday evening that we should transfer the momey by Monday and asked for the home insursnce few hours prior the exchange date. I was a single, young and vulnerable female who needed quick and efficient action against a housing association. I immediately got a response from Peter, who was kind, swift and very calm in his manner. I was a far from standard transaction, new-build purchasing from overseas without a permanent address during acquisition process and Alexander JLO managed to get the transaction done in tricky conditions. One bump in the process when the main emails were sent with the wrong name, and I was too frequently asked to confirm information that I had already indicated or that was in their charge (eg. money laundering process being complete) which somewhat reduced my confidence. However, they then managed to get all necessary original contracts sent out to a hotel that I was only staying in for three nights in Australia, extremely well explained with what needed to be done. I am currently undergoing my first property purchase with A JLO; a new build shared ownership purchase and so far it has been a less than pleasing experience. They started off great when they were on boarding me as a client, very helpful and quick to respond to enquiries. But that abruptly shifted once I became a client. I ring them up, end up leaving a message with who I presume is receptionist only to have no one ever follow up. I forward them important correspondence from the housing association in emails with more than 5 people CC'd in and again no-one so much as acknowledges they have received it. There is no one keeping me in the loop unless I do all the chasing. And the icing on the cake is being asked to bring in another form of I.D after they have had my current one for the best part of 1 month.
