Having never found myself in trouble with the law before, the day of my arrest felt like the worst day of my life. One man made the day bearable, my lawyer Anthony Branley. Anthony was sent to meet me at the police station by my employers so to an extent our relationship was entirely random, but I thank my lucky stars because, in my opinion, he's the best lawyer going. That day was the beginning of a relationship lasting four years and throughout that ordeal Anthony kept me calm and helped me to defend myself against six serious charges, all of which I was subsequently acquitted of. His knowledge of the law is second to none and at no point did he let my head go down. Rather his positivity kept me going through some of my darkest days. He doesn't know this, but I actually looked forward to seeing him during the preparation of my case because he gave me the self belief to keep fighting. He found me the best QC in London, Nigel Rumfitt, to represent me in court, who was ably assisted by Mr Branley's colleague Ross Johnson. The three of them were a formidable team to whom I will always be grateful. I should also mention the rest of the Galbraith Branley team who were always friendly and courteous during my many visits to the office. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough. If there were six stars I'd have given them.

I cannot recommend Galbraith Branley solicitors enough and no words can express how grateful we are to Mr Shah for the professional manner in which he handled our case and represented my wife in court. My wife was recently involved in what we believe is a fraudulent claim of a car incident. At the roadside, my wife was extremely distressed, and to cut a long story short, she was arrested for ‘failing to provide her personal details when asked’, and then at the station, she was asked to provide a breath sample, but unfortunately was too distressed and upset at the time to blow correctly into the machine, leading to the more serious charge of ‘failure to provide a specimen for analysis’. Having a brother who worked as a custody sergeant for many years, I KNEW the case against her would be extremely difficult to fight and win. Subsequently, having discussed with a few specialist lawyers in that field, it was apparent the costs of trying to defend would be upwards of £6,000 of which only a small amount would be reclaimable in the event of a win and the consequences of losing would be disastrous for us. We decided to instruct Galbraith Branley for two main reasons, firstly because I had total confidence with Mr Shah following my initial discussion with him about the case, and secondly because their costs to represent my wife were extremely reasonable in comparison to other solicitors. Having read the case file, Mr Shah gave us an HONEST appraisal of what he believed to be the best course of action, and that was to negotiate a plea bargain with the prosecution to ‘minimise the damage’. He could quite easily have suggested we defend the charge which would certainly have resulted in much higher legal costs to their benefit. We did investigate medical reasoning to defend, but this proved to be fruitless as our doctor ultimately could find no medical reason that would have prevented my wife from blowing correctly. So in the end, the only defence we had was her state of mind at that time, but this does not cancel out the fact that my wife had agreed to do the breath test without stating any reasons WHY she may not be able to do so when asked by the custody officer. As such, we were in total agreement with Mr Shah that a plea bargain was the best course of action in our situation. Prior to entering court for the hearing, Mr Shah had already negotiated the dropping of the initial charge of failing to provide personal details. He was then extremely professional in providing a strong case of mitigating circumstances explicating the reasons why my wife failed to provide a breath sample. This charge being considered very serious and carrying a maximum driving ban of 3 years and fine of upto £5000. The court was very sympathetic to my wife’s case, only imposing the bare minimum ban and fine which of course they are obliged to do. We are 1000% certain the outcome would have been very different had it not been for the professional manner in which Mr Shah represented my wife. Our biggest fear was the fine, which we were expecting would be at least £1000, but was only the very minimum that the courts must impose and including court costs etc was only a small fraction of what we were expecting. Needless to say, we walked out of court extremely happy with the outcome. I would have no hesitation in using Galbraith Branley Solicitors in the future, but hopefully not in the same circumstances LOL If you have read this review to the bitter end, WELL DONE, sorry it is so long, but I hope it inspires confidence to use Galbraith Branley Solicitors, and if you are represented by Mr Shah, in my opinion your case could not be in ‘better hands’.

When you have you back against the wall and the sky is about to fall on your head, I was abandoned by solicitor (provided by the police) at court who decided to not show, i was ready to plead guilty after the horrible arrest and 3 day detention i was put through, then Mr Shah came to my rescue just before the hearing and told me to put my trust in him which i did and persuaded me to plead not guilty after using his expertise to find a viable defence. Mr Johnson and Mr Shah really can make miracles happen, very helping honest and ethical, the type of defense professionals that are not in it for the money, they are in this line of work to sincerely help people and they really are top of the class at what they do, very smart articulate individuals who think outside the box and will win your case if not have the charges dropped all together. i would first like to start my review with THANK YOU to Mr Rumit Shah i am a single woman from scotland who was facing a prison sentence from a London Crown Court.....a friend of mine who had used this firm of solicitors before reccomend that i speak with Mr Shah... i called the office to be told that Mr Shah was at court and if i was to leave my name he would call back on his return 6pm that night Mr Shah called i explained i had been in trouble he said to me that the firm would take on my case which i was happy about as Mr Shah had represented my friend and he had won the case for him.....over the next few months i would get regular calls and updates regarding my case if i called the office and Mr Shah was not available his secretary always passed on my messages the communication was excellent i was told by Rumit that as i was going to crown court i would now need a barrister her name was Clare Dowse she knew things were not looking good for me at court and tried to keep me calm but some how between RUMIT SHAH AND CALRE DOWES the jury found me NOT GUILTY i am still mentally trained with going to court but i wanted to write this review to express how Excellent this firm of solicitors are...without the time and effort Mr Rumit Shah put in on my case... i would now be sitting in a prison....THANK YOU
