Excellent criminal defence solicitor for police interview under caution, regarding false allegations Aneka Thirurajah was my criminal defence solicitor who supported me for 5 months during the period I was falsely accused of ABH. She attended the police station with me for my interview, prepared my statement and advised me every step of the way, explaining everything thoroughly. Aneka really knows her stuff, is extremely polite, pleasant and yet is no push over. Aneka's advice prevented me from possibly being arrested at home (after I became completely frustrated by the ridiculous nature of the accusations) and made it clear to the police that whilst we would comply, things would be done our way. Aneka continued this approach over several months and knows how far to push things, what things are worth pushing for and more importantly what things are not. She did not hesitate in informing the questioning officer, that his line of questioning was already covered by our (very well prepared) statement. Today the case was dropped and the police enquiry has come to an end. I would 100% recommend Aneka as a passionate, learned, bright criminal defence solicitor, who will be in great demand in the future.

I've used this firm dating back to the 1980s, when they acted for me against the Met Police (won.) More recently, I used them for an employment situation (won) and they also handled my divorce. Again, won. I've just been reminded of these gains when recommending them to someone who needs a good lawyer, and I felt secure suggesting them because I've not had anything other than positive outcomes from them over past 30 years. On the one occasion I went off-script (!) used a lawyer that someone else recommended because he was Black and so am I and I thought he might understand my predicament, the advice was so bizarre and to my shame and regret I went with it/him and of course it ended badly. Very badly. I still get angry with myself thinking of it years later. Just my experience!

What can I say about this company, my case was the first of its kind in the country. I worked in a youth prison and bbc panaorma done an investigation in the establishment I worked in. I was recommended Hodge Jones & Allen by a family friend who is a well regarded barrister in London. As soon as BBC Panorama aired my establishment Hodge Jones & Allen were straight away involved I was on the phone with the solicor who took me on within in minutes. The level of professionalism was outstanding from everyone from juniors who attended police station with me during questions and advice given was excellent during this. I was taken to crown court 2 years later as I was on bail for this length of time. They hand picked me my barrister as I had two because the case load was so big and they were tremendous. I was supported all the way though this trauma and got my justice and was aquitted of any guilt and found not guilty after verdict. I will highly recommend this solicitors as the best in London and would urge anybody in need of legal help to go here.
